It's great but berry farm to reduce EV is dogsht. It's like the game would rather have me breed and lvl up new pokemon than play ones I did playthrough...
Another aspect of getting a perfect mon that was left out, but egg moves. You can teach them from other Pokemon instead of having to breed now. First, get a Mirror Herb from the Delibird Delivery in Cascarrafa and put it on the mon you want inheriting a move. Second, delete one of their moves so they have a vacant moveslot. Finally, put them in a picnic with the mon who has the move you want to teach, and your first mon should have the egg move in its fourth slot after the picnic.
The main method I've been using for ev training (for atk/def/spa/spe) is making an encounter power sandwich and grinding the paradox mons since they give 3 evs per defeat. I'm on violet so for Attack: grind iron hands/iron valiant Defence: iron treads Special attack: iron moth/iron jugulis Speed: iron bundle Got a box fully ev trained in like 1 hour using the power items It also saves a ton of money this way
This is the way, even the Pokemon that give 1 ev are fine if you've got the the training items, I save up like 6 Pokemon that need the same ev spread and then give them all the same training item in my party and you can ev train them all, so much faster and efficient than saving money for vitamins
@@aconn58 you're better off going to north province area 3 to farm the florges line for sp def. imo their spawn is really common there and florges gives 3evs. The pre evos give slightly less but should still work
you can also get the EV-reducing berries from the auction house after beating the water gym. the stock resets the same way as outbreaks resets. just make that part of your reset loop and you can stock up nice and fast.
The problem with money farming is you can ev train 5-6 pokemon at once. If you start multiplying how many vitamins you need for all of those vs. doing the ev training with the held items, it's incomparable.
I let revavroom run around with me in the dessert since he's one of the few pokes that can keep up with your mount at full speed, everytime you pass a shiny spot it gets picked up by the poke automatically.
@@landddo1341 They actually do that too though. If you use the Let's Go mode (defeating Wild Pokemon on their own) and they find a Shiny they will refuse to harm it. That's 1 method to grind shinies, find a Mass Outbreak, use the shiny boost sandwich and just have your Pokemon defeat the wild ones until you find a shiny, your Pokemon will technically alert you if it finds one.
Fastest way to EV train is still beating wild Pokemon, especially if you're training for EVs for Speed + another attack type, is the area where the trainer's home is Equip the Power Bracer or Power Lens on all 6 of the Pokemon you wanna train, go back to your trainer house, jump into the water towards the south - The encounters there, Buizel, Wingull, Magikarp, Arrokuda, all give 1 Speed EV each, takes 12 to 20 seconds per fight including locating the next spawn, and you should average about 7 fights per 2 minutes with them endlessly spawning, needing only 9-12 minutes to max the offensive EVs of choice (You gain 8 offensive EVs and 1 speed EV a fight) Note - Arrokuda has Aqua Jet, so if your lead pokemon that you're training has Quick Attack, use that move. Also, disable move learning on level up in the options After 32 fights, that's 252 offensive stat EVs maxed with 32 points in speed EVs Equip the Power Anklet on all 6 in the party (+9 speed EVs a fight), and in another 25 fights, roughly 8-10 minutes, you'll max out all your speed EVs Finally, equip whichever stat you want to increase by 1 point at Lv100 with it's appropriate Power item (usually one of the defenses, or HP), do 1 fight which'll last 12 seconds, and you're done Keep at it, and using this method it's less than 30 minutes for doing the in game equivalent of trying to earn 3,060,000 pokedollars (25 minutes tops after investment), way faster than going the round about method of trying to earn items to sell to earn the money via map pickups Save the money for bottlecaps, or defensive vitamins where necessary
@@andresescobedo6460 yes, since they put in the exp share all pokemon in your party that can get evs will get evs for every battle, regardless whether or not they participated or not
@@r6liam657 Nope. What you'd need to do since you will likely have your EVS already maxed out at 510 is feed it the EV reducing berries so you can reduce the EVs of the stats you don't want to 0. Then you can EV train like normal and add the EVs to the stats you do want.
Sure this is maybe the fastest way to specifically max EV's, but imo you're better of doing multiple things at a time. Just go around and do tera raids. You'll get exp candy to level up your mons fast, nuggets and other valuables to get loads of money, tera shards to change tera types and herbs and rare ingredients needed for shiny hunting etc... Basically instead of running in circles for 10 minutes working towards a single goal, just work towards many at the same time and it'll be more efficient overall use of time imo
IDK if it is common knowledge or not, but for the desert money farm I like to have Ceruledge in Let's go mode (ZR). It can both pick up items for you, and keep up with your mount (not speed boosted).
I accidentally stumbled upon a better and faster way because you can do your whole party at once which is use the bands and stuff for whatever reason the exp share counts your entire team as in the battle so you can give each of your pokemon their corresponding band and fight low levels
@@danm8004 why? You can train with the power items. If you dont fight a mon that give the ev you need you will get +8 from the power item anyways. In the end you just have to feed 3 berries to get the stat you boosted by accident down again
I am so glad they made the stats changeable instead of set from the get go that way they encourage the fact you can train any pokemon to be the best instead of breeding the best
You can also get ceruledge out in let's go mode because it can keep up with your ride pokemon (as long as you don't sprint) and pick up all the items for you. might save you a couple of minutes.
Did you consider you can EV train an entire team at once since the exp is shared so it’s much faster to train a bunch of pokemon that need the same stat by taking out the mons and doesn’t cost a fortune
At 7:00, alternatively, you could also use the power of money to get loads of berries in the auction at porto marinada. Around the same area where you're supposed to deliver the water gym leader's wallet. I find this to be the most reliable way to get berries. Just day skip your way to reset or change the berry that is being auctioned.
I would like to add, you can make money fast and gain xp (on things that already have max evs) by equipping the Amulet coin for double money on your lead pokemon and go do the champion challenge over and over
If you want an easier time farming sparkling spots, use the lets go thing with a Varoom. Why a Varoom? Because its crazy fast and can actually keep up with your dinobike going at full speed (as long as you dont do too much climbing)
Sorry to make your video irrelevant but there is a free way that is more efficient. Firstly the power items give PLUS 8 in an EV, not just 8. So for example if you're fighting against something that gives 3 EVs in a stat, like conveniently all the paradox pokemon do, you only need 23 battles per stat or 46 overall to max out a stat because you're getting 11 per battle. Since Pokerus has been erased from the code, this is the highest possible EV gain attainable from battling, but its still significantly faster than the 64 battle method you mentioned. To train a basic offensive sweeper with a max offensive stat and speed, the easier version to use is Violet, since you can fight Iron Moth for Sp Atk, Iron Hands for Attack and Iron Bundle for Speed. For Scarlet, its gets trickier because there is no source of speed, and the sp atk source is rare, but we have: Great Tusk for Attack, Sandy Shocks for Sp Atk and you can fight the Jumpluff that spawn in Area Zero which all give 3 Speed. An alternative for Sp atk is Glimmora which spawn like crazy at the bottom of the cave but only give 2 sp atk for 10 EVs a kill and thus you need 26 kills for that stat instead. There are also sources for HP, defense and special defense but I'm too lazy to write it all out. Serebii is your friend, friends. All the EV values are always listed on the pokedex pages. If something spawns a lot, it could be a good source. If it doesn't, consider using an encounter power. Good luck, good hunting and save your money for more important things like bottle caps!
Actually after testing myself, the Jumpluff are WAY more efficient for speed on either version because they spawn in groups of five. And I also forgot an important factor: With the power items if you equip more than one, you can train a whole team with the same set of 23 battles per that one stat. So that's a huge difference in efficiency as well. (Ngl forgot that myself and started training Chien Pao and Chi-Yu without a power item each. lol. This shit used to cost BP to be fair, so I never used to bother with multiples)
I brought 5 power items of each and put all the pokes I want to train ev for example attack and speed in the party with the respective power item. Have 5 perfect ev pokes in less than 1h. Spend 1.250mio once and can do multiple pokes for as long as I want :D
This video is kind of silly. It takes me very close to 10 minutes to knock out 26 chancey outside the fairy base with an encounter normal lvl1 sandwich. With power items they give 10 HP EVs to each pokemon in your party. I did it with three pokemon holding power items in my party, but you could easily do 5 or 6. Training 5 pokemon this way equates to saving 1,300,000 pokedollars worth of vitamins. It's far faster and economical even if you're only training one pokemon to just use power items. The only exception might be if you're already flush with cash and vitamins from raids, you may as well use them.
You sure you don't get EVs from Let's Go? Because I saw four other very popular channels who say you do... I'm not saying you are wrong. But someone has to be. Also, why not just walk the desert in Let's Go mode, your pokemon will collect the items for you, even in the day when you can't see them. And, if you press right on the D-Pad, while choosing how many berries to feed to a pokemon, it will choose the maximum needed to reduce that stat to zero. So you won't use more than you needed to erase those EV's.
I have a question is Ev training starts right after I catch a pokemon I mean lets say I am playing fire red and picked bulbasaur as my starter when I faint my rivals charmender is it going to effect my bulbasaurs Ev's if I kill like 10 pokemons before I max my bulbasaur's Ev's does that means I can't perfectly Ev train my balbasaur anymore?
My first shiny in the game was also a golduck.. well, actually a psyduck but same thing. Then 2 seconds later a shiny Lowkey Toxtricity. No shiny ever since
That means that your EVs are maxed out, you can check in the summary page by switching your graph view. If the stat you want isn't sparkling, you can use the berries to lower other stats so you can have room for that one
you know, thank you for these explanations on HOW this stuff works. I never had a good breakdown on how this system worked, I've watched other videos and read up over the years but this was the first time any of this made sense to me.
Is it correct to assume that if you catch a 5 Star Raid Pokemon that has 4 perfect IV's already, you use 2 bottle caps to max out the other stats (If needed) and now you have a perfect Pokemon? It's that simple?
For some reason even after using stat berries I can only use 25 vitamins for each stat and can’t even use the feathers to round it up to 252… anybody know what’s up with that?!
Instead couldn't you just avoid the berries by just catching the pokemon you want to perfect iv train and level it up with candies so it can't get any un wanted values
This game is awesome, because ev training is much much easier now you just need to be able to farm money in the academy ace tournament first. Because vitamins cost a lot☝️
Here’s something you can do from now on in videos like these…fucking tell people when they can access these items to purchase that way players don’t mindlessly go to the shop not being able to see it in there
An hour to max EVs? It doesn't take me more than 25 minutes. And you can train multiple pokémon at the same time as long as they share 1 stat you want to train.
Better way to earn money is to get the amulet charm and then going to the academy to do the academy challenge again and that should give you 110k+ within 15 mins
Money farming is excellent for ev training one Pokémon at a time BUT battling for EVs let’s you train multiple Pokémon at once! Granted if they are all being trained for the same stat.
The odds aren't juiced. The difference is the overworld sprites are visible and their own encounter. This means your getting massively more encounters than you used to in older games. More encounters=more chances for shinies=more shinies in general
Part of it is thT you only start the encounters you want to. So you don't have to start a battle, see if it's shiny, then run away (continue for several hours) you can just be running around and then you'll see the shiny
I hunted for a shiny dragonair for 4 hours and didn’t get a shiny so I just gave up on it 💀 later on I found a full odds shiny male combee ima go kms 💀💀💀 I released that shit
Two things. One, it used to be that you could only use ten vitamins per stat per Pokemon, so 100 EVs but you had to grind the rest in battles. Did they change that, and if so, when? I haven't done competitive since Gen 5 so... Also, you could probably still be more efficient by EV training five or six mons with Power items at once, since it applies to experience gained (unless they changed that too). Means a bit more preemptive planning, but I'd want a variety of pokemon to swap in/out anyway
Farming the ev berries is faster in the east province 2 zone, there you can only get those and not every other berry in the game which makes it much much faster Edit: In east province 3 u get hp, attack and special attack berries and in East province 1 you get the other 3
Do not follow this video outside of money part. Use money to get the ev items. Exp share also shares evs. The ev items gives 8 evs per battle. So 25-33 battles depending on the pokemon will max your entire team of 6 on 1 stat. So spend 1h or less and max 2 stats on 6 pokemon. This video is 1h to max 2 stats on 1-2 pokemon or do it regular way to max 2 stats on 6+ pokemon same time.
Been doing the "wild battle" method for Att. EVs & can't get my Braviary's to top out. Tried using what berries I had to lower stats & every non-essential stat looks to be at zero or whatever the lowest point is. Any ideas, Josh?
As a noob to this specifically thing I have questions anyone please help. Does it matter the level when I give my mons vitamins? Bc I've tried in previous gens at say a little bit passed level 50 with random vitamins u find & it's said it won't have any effect. Now is that bc I've already gotten the evs from battling & at that point I've done maxed out that mons ev spread? Or is it bc my mon is passed 50 & u can't give vitamins after that level? Now if the level 50 thing isn't a thing, can I just give my mons the berries that lower the evs that I don't need? And if that's the case does it really matter if u give ur mon the vitamins at level 1 to 100? Thank you to anyone that helped or any that refers me to a video, I got sick brain rn & I've looked it up but haven't found the specific thing that confirms or denies this.
Another way to get a buttload of money, if you're willing to cheat, is item duping which is surprisingly easy. Just dupe ability patches (if you have them) or ability capsules and sell them off!
Am I imagining this… you put the power (whichever one) on and just battle whatever you want and it maxes that stat cause there’s no way my Pokémon has used the attack and speed item and I’ve only battled random Pokémon that boost that stat yet they’re perfectly maxed That’s really badly worded I know
