I am a CA student. My uncle thrashed me today for not taking my dad’s government job that I had refused to take after his death. Even after seeing that I’m currently earning 5 times of that govt job.

Naval is that voice which we all have at the back of our mind but have let it get suppressed by years of bad advice and education. I am finally glad that the Tanmay is picking up on it.

I'm a little confused. Who are you saving the money for? Let's say, you live a minimalistic life. Don't spend much. Save all you can. Don't buy the t-shirt you like. Or the gadget you had your eye on. After years of saving and investing and so on and so forth, you've accumulated a huge amount of wealth. What then? What would you do with it? Would you spend it then? On things you might not even be interested in. I understand saving and investing but not buying things you like, things that can make you happy, is a little beyond me.
