I never thought my cellulite would go away completely but i lost 20 pounds, ate healthier and really worked on building muscle every where. One day I woke up and said to my husband I literally almost can't see my cellulite!!🤗
Awesome. Thank you for sharing! Just watched a video today by a female body builder and she said a byproduct of building muscle has been the elimination of cellulite. Thank you for confirming by sharing 🫶
@@empea3837i lost all my cellulite from doing pilates & jogging so it’s not just weight lifting that helps and i still ate bad just made some healthy substitutions
The best thing anyone can do to improve cellulite is LIFT HEAVY. I've got a body born for cellulite and have noticed significant positive changes in my body and perception of beauty since I started powerlifting. Ya'll need to lift! It helps your bones, muscle tone, skin, posture, attitude, self-confidence, and self-image. Not to mention, it makes you STRONG. ❤
Sunscreens for humid countries would be an interesting discussion. We believe the sunscreen doesn't stand a chance to perform in an extremely humid climate and companies aren't addressing skincare for humid environments. Would love everyone's suggestions as well!
I imagine chemical sunscreen would be more effective because it works by penetrating into the skin, whereas physical sunscreens sit on top of your face and so can easily sweat off.
In a highly humid setting, people often avoid applying makeup and skincare products in the morning due to concerns about their sunscreen melting and potentially causing breakouts from sweat and humidity-induced clogging.
My guess is to stay hydrated with water and electrolytes, wear a strong spf, and shower afterwards. I put a hair oil in my hair and braid it before going in if it's not a problem for the pool, if it is you can wrap it up or put it in a bun and just don't dip your hair. Honestly other than a little dryness if I rub my face in the pool a lot, I don't really see any issues from the pool water as long as it's properly treated. Don't let chemical fearmongering stop you from enjoying yourself. If your face is really sensitive to chlorine, honestly I'd put a very thin layer of vaseline on it. (Do not do this all over yourself, it can cause dangerous slip hazards for yourself and others) But I would only do that indoors or at night. If I'm in the pool outside during the day, just a very thick layer of sunscreen. Some of them are a bit greasy but I think it repels water so that should work if you're sensitive.
Don’t put oil or anything like that, it is disgusting. We don’t need even more chemicals in the pool. Just make sure to shower and hydrate afterwards and your skin will be ok. Chlorine is not gonna penetrate too deep as to do any profound damage it is hurt superficial. Just make sure to wash it out and restore moisture every time.
@@shereeneidriss can you please help me out with my skin like alligator skin? It hurts so bad. I have no idea what to do written this one person and every time I think really little bit it comes back 10 times worse 😢
Great video! Like with most things, when I see cellulite on other women, it looks totally normal and literally doesn't impact how beautiful they are. But when it's on myself it's the end of the world lol. I would love a video about spider veins and cherry angiomas - two things I've started noticing since turning 30
@@jenn8179I have had 2 large cherry angiomas lasered off. Worked very well. I was afraid of the procedure leaving a divot or scar but my dermatologist was very good and left me with neither. 👍🏼
@@Sky10811 it’s worked for me & I’ve seen day by day results videos on RU-vid of other women showing their results, the only caveat is if you stop doing it regularly, the cellulite will come back. Idk about micro tears… you’re supposed to use a soft bristled brush & a gentle hand.
Need a part 2 for cellulite! What are the risks and side effects of each office treatment discussed? Contraindications? Dry brushing how to? Product recommendations for at home. Thank you!
I have stretch marks only on my tummy area due to cushings syndrome, I started getting them in my very early 20s, I havent been able to completely eliminate them, which is fine, im not actually that embarassed about them, but about two years ago i replaced the body cream i was using with a retinol body cream and it actually made a difference for me. theyre not entirely gone because that would be impossible for scaring but the apperance is greatly reduced, they are pretty much the same colour as my skin tone now; the body cream is by "The Solution" and called Retinol Smoothing Body Lotion.
I love Korean sunscreens, I would love if you can talk about 2 of my favorites, SKIN 1004 - Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum and numbuzin - No.1 Clear Filter Sun Essence
Massaging with cups (or cupping) Has helped me, but it's a temporary result, you need to keep doing it for "maintenance". Starting with 3-4 times per week for 1 or 2 months, then once a week. It will never disappear with this method, but gets so much better!
It has taken me decades to accept my body, cellulite, and stretcmarks (puberty and 3 pregnancies). My tummy tuck gave me a 360-degree new scar at this point I don't care anymore to find all the lotions, potions, lasers and fillers. I loved hearing your thoughts and knowledge on this matter. I proudly can rock a bikini and that in itself is empowering to any woman who has had 3 children. I just know that my body tells a story of my life and I'm fine with it. C'est la vie.
I need some tummy tuck pointers. Any insurance coverage? My csection scar indents and is so frustrating. Don't think I need a 360 but rather a extended one.
I’ve had 4 c sections with a few stretch marks on my hips and a couple on my belly and I call them my mommy badge cause my body worked hard to make my babies and keep them alive! Women should be proud I’ve never been ashamed I wear it with pride
I have some sunscreens that I would love to hear your opinion on! 1. Beauty of Joseon, Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics, SPF 50+ PA ++++, 50 ml 2. Isntree - Onion Fresh Fluid Sun Cream 3. SKIN 1004 - Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum Thanks in advance to anybody that shares their opinions!
PSA There is a disease called lipedema (connective tissue disease that also impacts the lymphatic system or vice versa) which I have this disease and it looks like cellulite in the later stages, so yes sometimes what appears to be cellulite IS a disease. One common symptom that most people experience is the fat in their legs are tender or painful (something like a cat on your lap will hurt)… Another symptom is larger lower body while the upper body might be more lean. Most doctors don’t know about it, and it’s hereditary and mostly only females are affected. If you have concerns look it up and then show your doctor the info (to educate them) and get evaluated. Sorry - Just trying to spread awareness since you’re on the topic of cellulite. 💕
I agree with you on dry brushing. You need to do it on a regular basis. Gua Sha on the legs will also help if you are willing to do it. They are the two cheapest ways to deal with this problem.
Damn Vogue magazine. You know the whole cellulite thing is their “invention”, right? I bought (an expensive! It was from Dior, called Dior Svelte, so it wasn’t cheap either… ) anti-cellulite cream for the first time the summer when I was fifteen about-to-be 16. I had anorexia and bulimia, chronically ill from either the one or the other, throughout my teenage years, until I had my son at 18 and I’ve relapsed in adulthood as well. I doubt that I ever had cellulites as a teen (and certainly not to the extent that it was a problem worth treating) but after I’ve been pregnant with my son I had stretch marks all the way from my 😺purr factory😸 and up to navel. And some on my breasts as well. And this was really eating at my self esteem - which already was pretty much nonexistent but NOW, my self esteem definitely was on an extreme deficit level. I haven’t been on a beach as an adult. I haven’t been on a bath house. I haven’t gone swimming since I was 18 years old. Please please please, don’t hate on your body! ❤️🩹 Your body does great things for you and it works so hard every single day and it deserves all your love and respect that you possibly could give it. Don’t forget that! Cellulites are a myth that a stupid magazine made up in order to make women insecure about their natural appearance and doubt themselves and that way they would be easier for the beauty industry to sell their products to. Don’t fall for it! ❤
I got stretchmarks all over my body when i was young and size S. I always was really upset abut my body. Skin is like a 60 year old. Now im 33 and still single :(
I'd be very interested to hear your take on Beauty of Joseon's Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotics (SPF50+ PA++++) sunscreen. I like that it doesn't have a very tacky/sticky feel.
I am so happy that I came across your educational post! I’ve ordered your skin care products and can’t wait to begin using them. I just love your vibe and honesty! I’m addicted to your post 😂 Thank you thank you for sharing your wisdom!
would love to hear your current opinion on Beauty of Joseon's "Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotics (SPF50+ PA++++)"--I think you have mentioned this product before, but am wondering how it compares with your top sunscreen choices. thank you Dr Idriss!
Hey idriss! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Could you do a video for summer body prep? Like addressing kp or dry skin. I think an updated video would be great for this time of the year.
High & Dry in Colorado here! Great video as always Dr. I : ) I would love to learn more about products and things that help those of us w/dry skin in very dry climates. The only time my face retains moisture from my pm skincare, is when I layer 3-4 moisture layers. I do face baste, but not every night. Otherwise I will get small breakouts, though I don't have particularly sensitive skin. My skin from chest to ta-tas feels very moisturized in the am. Always look forward to your videos : )
Just my anecdotal experience with cellulite: When I lost weight, the cellulite on my thigs got a lot worse. Dry brushing did nothing, creams did nothing. When I started doing a little bit of exercise every day (10 minutes of cardio or 20 minutes of yoga on alternating days), it improved in a few weeks to where I was very happy with my body. I stopped doing this, and the cellulite is somewhat back, although not as bad (yet).
Hi Dr. Idriss, thanks for the video! Regarding the cellulite, I was kind of disappointed you did not mentioned anything abou massage, fascia blasting, or using cups. I have had really good results with those techniques. Would love to hear your thoughts on them. Thank you!
I've seen an elctric fascia roll that is a standing device with infrared light or something like that. It's something you can buy and keep using at home and it helps to stimulate the collagen against cellulite as well
I was horrified when I got stretch marks everywhere when I had my daughter at age 18. I didn’t have any until I went into preterm labor and I had to be on steroids, then they came overnight it felt. I can hardly see them now 7 years later, and when I do they just remind me that my body brought my baby into this world healthy. 😊
Sunscreen recommendation: P.Calm water barrier sun cream spf 50++++! I have very fair sensitive skin & allergic to all US chemical sunscreens… this is invisible, works, zero smell/rash or hives, wears beautifully under makeup or alone, doesn’t make my eyes water, not drying or make me look greasy…. It’s a perfect 10 for me!
You should definitely make a video about your career and your journey to get there. I'm interested in maybe becoming a dermatologist and I just want to know is it worth it? There is lots of school and I don't want to do something I'm unsure about and put so much time into it just to realize its not for me. I bet a lot of people would benefit from a video like this and I would enjoy hearing your experiences.💕
I would love to see a review on Tatcha's The Silk Sunscreen!! I recently have been obsessed with it and have super sensitive eyes so it has been a total game changer for me. Would love your thoughts on it! ❤
Great video, Shereene! 💜 Currently my favorite sunscreen for the face is Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch and for my body I like Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist. I hope it works good because it’s cheap and doesn’t make me look greasy. Would love to get your thoughts on it!
Omg Paula's choice sunscreens! I'd love if you could review any of those. I'd also love to know if a matte finish sunscreen that doesn't burn my eyes exists. Thank you 😊
I would like to see a video about the risks of radio frequency and heat devices in procedures as I keep seeing that heat can cause actually fat loss which then can make people look older and seen a couple of cases on that
How can we get firmer skin on the inner thighs and arms? I’m exercising regularly and it’s working for weight loss and toning but the skin is still loose.
I would love to hear about good budget sunscreens for the face. A lot of sunscreens specifically designed for the face are very expensive, but I want something not too oily/greasy/shiny, with not too much of a white cast, and also that won't pill, so that I can apply makeup on top
Thank you for this video! For the SPF roundup, I used Dermalogica dynamic skin recovery for a really long time and just started using their Powerbright SPF. But also hear great things about the Isdin brand.
Thank you so much for yet another wonderfully informative video! I would love to hear more about firming creams too. Could you please do a video on that?
I'd love to see a reviews of the Meu Ollie sunscreen stick with color. I don't know if they're selling in the US yet though. It's a Brazilian 95 SPF sunscreen that makes our skin look perfect like a medium coverage foundation with a natural finishing 😍
One thing I found interesting, was after having a child, I did all the things, stretch mark creams, shea butter, even wore a compress. Being 20 at the time, I thought I would naturally snap back. And yet, still, to this day, 13 years later, I'm still using lotion, and waist compresses or trainers... the baby belly never snapped back, not with training at the gym every morning at 10am, not with anything "natural". Of course I never tried needles of any type, but that loose skin man... just haunts so many women, it fills with fat easily, but even when the fat levels are low, it's just this empty baby belly that doesn't go away....
As a fitness competitor I can tell you that losing body fat and bulding some muscles absolutely reduces a lot or completely eliminate the cellulite! There is a reason why nobody on stage of fitness competitors have absolutely no cellulite - low body fat + muscles. Exercise, eat healthy, reduce excessive body fat and build muscle and be patient. It costs you nothing and it will give the best results that no treatment can EVER do. I'm a fan of different treatments but from experience I know this works and it costs you nothing! Don't be lazy and waste your money.
