Hi, a very nice video , I am glad I came across this video. One question, when you say drawing belly towards your spine , it's diff than sucking in , what does that exactly means, what is the right way to do that.

This video might have just saved my soul. I literally get swollen and always think I’m getting pregnant again but it’s just swollen (I didn’t know this was even a thing...). I’m going to do the test ASAP thank you!!

Thanks for the video. I had my 4th child over a year ago and have been wondering why I havent been able to get my belly back like I usually can after babies. I didnt think I had diastasis because I wasnt totally fat. The test helped me confirm I have the separation right beneath my belly button.

Thank you for this video! I’ve been struggling to find a good routine to heal my DR. I actually had my OB refer me to physical therapy. I was wondering how long did it take for you to notice a change? I’ve been doing them daily and am feeling so discouraged that I’m not seeing results. I am 3.5 months postpartum from a c-section. Thanks again!

Candace B just keep Doing it... happens very gradually and eventually u can do more difficult workouts. And girl you’re only 3.5 months post... it took a good year before I felt myself again... be patient with yourself. Took 9 months to get that big... itll take awhile to go back xx

Drakes Nest thank you! I know I’ve got to be patient 😊 I have a hard time dealing with it also because I’ve lost so much weight everywhere else but my tummy from nursing. Ok I’m done complaining lol, thanks again I will definitely be doing these workouts 👍

I hope you are seeing more progress now. It takes time. I have a boy who is 9 and one almost 7. I wish I had known about this sooner. One thing to mention is to make sure you are always standing tall and engaging your core. I have seen more progress since practicing this technique and losing the weight I need to by making healthy choices.

I started seeing changes after afew weeks and I did them everyday:) only need five to ten minutes...just make sure U get the ok to workout from ur doc:)

I came across your video and i found it interesting. I havent started to do these exercises yet but i am worried because I had an emergency c section for my first baby that exercise could cause injury or wont heal properly. It has been 3 months since i have given birth and no doctor or midwofe mention this to me. I still look like im about 5 to 6 mlnths pregnant with my belly buldge. Please help?

Onnipha Sri-Aram I had an emergency c section as well and I believe I got the ok after 8 weeks. Talk to ur doc make sure ur ok to exercise....try these and google more diastasis workouts it’s helped me a ton

I forgot to ask you, did you develop the c section 'flap'? The bit of excess fat that is disfigured and interrupted by the incision suture and scar? I had 2 c-sections, never got it with the first, but after #2, it was immediate. I had less weight gain, started out smaller overall, and I am now smaller than before both, but damn it that flap is hanging on for dear life. I don't know which ab exercises will be able to penetrate that scar. I swear my doctor flubbed it on purpose, since his second practice is body rejuvenation 🤨

I don’t... I have like a bump above the incision but no flap:/ I know that can b common tho...I’m sure the flatter ur belly gets it’ll go away tho;)

I don't know if it will help, but if you've had the all clear from your medical doctor then you can massage the scar, and help break down the scar tissue. I think that might make it less noticeable.

How long on average does it take to get your core back?

Amyrpn j. I had a c section with both my kids....I felt like by 6 months I felt pretty good but by a year I feel like it was finally back and got better n better over time....but some people are faster then that some are slower that was just me;) be patient with yourself it took 9 months for that belly to grow it takes a bit for it to go back;)

I had 5 boys my youngest is 10 months, I've a pregnant looking belly after my 3rd. I never understood why until last year. My stomach sticks out at the top above my belly button. Will these target that area also?

Yes! You should try the test to see if u have the separation, you probably do. Try these exersizes, and I’m sure there are even more for Diastasis online:)

45 seconds on, 5-10 seconds off. do as many reps youre comfortable with but aim for 10 minutes minimum total

My son is almost 1 year old too! I used to have a very perfect stomach but now I look like 3 months pregnant sll the time! I thought maybe it was due tomy age! Lol.

A Peebles16 these are in addition to any other workout routine, these workouts won’t make u loose weight it will just help bring your stomach muscles back to normal. So yes cardio is great and using weights as well, just whatever you do be mindful of keeping your core tight

Hi ! I HV 2 sons after 2nd delivery I didn't use (belt) to stomach, my tummy looks like 7months pregnant nw. My was 11 mths old. Is it workout to me..... Rply me plz

I think you can always reverse it with proper exercise:) there are a ton of other diastasis workouts in RU-vid as well:)

Angelcake1371 I didn't gain much weight during my pregnancy but my stomach stayed swollen looking for awhile...I had a "pouch". I also had a c section so that will also cause swelling to take awhile

Drakes Nest ooh okay because I didn’t gain a lot of weight either. But my tummy to me looks a bit round and tbh I can’t tell if my muscle split or it’s just fat and should be working out. Another question would be if I don’t have that problem is me doing this workout going to cause damage or just strengthening/prevent this issue??
