This is crazy! I was using my surfprep today, and looked at the screens/papers and all that jazz....and had no idea what the screens were for. I thought I would definitely be looking it up on RU-vid tonight. First, though I had to watch my subscribed videos first (you and Kacha) after I came in and showered. You just happened to be explaining all the surfprep papers!! That's insane...so when I say that's exactly what I needed to see today, it's literally what I needed to see😆😆...thanks!! I know you mentioned it at the end, but I wasn't too sure if you meant you finished with the clear coat on the whole thing - or just the parts that had the exposed wood/gel stain 😊 thanks again for a great video!

This is gorgeous!! Thank you for the video. I had a question. I just got a Surf Prep sander and am wondering if you use a screen or what to sand down your top? I tried several combos and then just got my orbital back out, as it was faster and took the finish off better. I want to use the Surf Prep and am having a bit of a learning curve with it. I want it to be magic for the price, but I am struggling a bit to see the magic, if you know what I mean. Thanks for any help!

If you want to combine this black wax on the edges - technique with some transfers then you would probably do first the transfer, then the black wax then a sealing, right? Or would you do a sealing underneath the transfer first and then all the other steps? I know that the transfer has to be on BEFORe the wax, that so far is clear to me. Thx!

Strange to me. If I want brush-free, I spray it. The whole point of hand painting is to see the hand painting. It's 10 times the work as spraying and looks twice as nice. You compare any two pieces of furniture and it's the hand-painted one that captures your eye. The brush strokes, the little imperfections--that's what catches a person's eye. Then they realize all the work that went into it and are even more impressed with the piece. I would never try and hide the brush strokes. That defeats the whole point. Remember, Ikea and Walmart don't have brush strokes.
@BrushedbyBrandy
@BrushedbyBrandy 3 года назад
I spray a lot too, but sprayers are not something everyone has, so I thought it was important to show methods for those who don't spray
