How do you get someone to forgive you? Perhaps you had an affair, did something stupid, or said something you should not have said. Now the person you love is struggling to forgive you and won't even talk to you.
You can't make anyone forgive you. So when we say, "How to get someone to forgive you," what we really should mean is "what can we do to help someone forgive us?" You can never force forgiveness.
These 5 points, however, can give you the best opportunity to help someone you hurt to forgive you.
1. Ask, don't demand forgiveness.
2. Repent, don't just say you are sorry.
3. Be willing to receive a biblical rebuke.
4. Allow them to be angry.
5. Pray for them.
