my man and i been together for 6 years. About 2 yrs ago he proposed to me with a cowry shell(spiritual vibe). He did it in front of the ancestor altar with some of our friends but i wasnt sure if he was serious. He kept tellin me he was "dead ass". Either way he always said he wouldn't truly get "married" because he believes that the govt curses people through signing that paper. i think you better think about your life in 5 years... and if he dies you cannot get life insurance , or you have no say over what happens to his body... Well, it's going to be a little harder than that, sis: 1. If a man is providing, his wife can divorce him and he's financially ruined. 2. If the man stops providing, his wife can divorce him and he's financially ruined. 3. If the wife stops performing her duties, she can divorce her husband and he's financially ruined. 4. If the wife divorces her husband for any random reason, he is financially ruined. 5. If the wife cheats on him and he obviously wants to divorce her, he is financially ruined. There is no logical reason for many men to marry given the above scenarios.
