Agree, he gives free exercise and how to do them properly, but most important he shows you workouts so you don't have to buy his program. Lots of fitness youtuber who will show you them working out and maybe some technique but then tell you to buy there program to get all the information that Jeff gives for free
@@roundboyli7217 Well yes, this is his job, you know, but there are some good fitness youtubers out there that are similar to Jeff, but the thing is he doesn't make you buy a program to get workouts or diet advice. He gives it all to you, his program is just more concise and does most of the planning for you
He DOES do anatomy lessons in the muscle marker videos he even describes the type, shape, size, origin, insertion, and direction of the muscle fibers all relative to its attachment to the bones.
This man is an incredible human being. Class, discipline, humble, strength, intelligence, honesty. Just every quality that counts all across the board. They just don't make people like this anymore. Top of the top shelf.
I discovered Jeff Cavaliere like 4 years ago and ever since i trusted him all the time and with the right reason, this man's knowledge and willpower is insane. He is a rolemodel for me.
@Family Guy if he was on steroids, by the time of his workout progression (20+ years of progression), he will be much more bigger and ripped believe or not
@Family Guy hes actually been fairly vocal about not being completely natural, I know hes said he takes testosterone or something like that due to him being over 40 and losing alot of natural testosterone produced by the body.
While I love all the videos of different exercises and teaching us what to do and what not to do, I love these videos just as much. I wish Jeff would go on Rogans podcast, 2-3 hours of good conversation and knowledge with no interruptions. It would probably be one of my favorites along with ct Fletcher, David Goggins, dr Patrick and a few others.
Anthony Hibbs joe would probably say he’s too busy but I would love to see that. Last time I posted a comment about Jeff going on the podcast people were shitting on the idea, glad people are coming around, who wouldn’t want 2+ hours of the best trainer?! 💪
I wish I had a miniature Jeff on my shoulder telling me what to do throughout the day re working out and diet tips. And to slap you occassionally for even looking at that doughnut.
Very lean for a natty, of course non natties are larger frame skeletons are able to APPEAR/LOOK/SEEM even more shredded than him. Those freaks he's being mindful about have even deeper cuts on the abdomen only achievable through anabolic gears
Jeff, thank you sir! Im 52 its mid June I'm down 30 pounds since March. All because I saw a back pain excercise of yours. & kept watching your vids. Thanks again
Skeletor was watching this video and when Jeff said "I know I look like Skeletor" Skeletor smiled and went to the mirror and said "YAY I look like Jeff"
I study ABA (applied behavior analysis) and this video reminds me why Jeff’s videos speak to so many. He always provides an objective and parsimonious take on health and nutrition. He accounts for learning history, but importantly he promotes keeping track of your future behavior which leads to more accountability and ultimately more progress. Keep keeping the motivation alive. Thanks man.
It doesn't need to be. But the industries and enterprises want you to believe so. Try doing an elimination diet. Try different macro ratios and see what works best for your guts, stomach and your energy levels and keep it that way. Choose the foods you like. If you want what you like, even unhealthy stuff like pizza, prepare it at home yourself. You'll find that it isn't hard.
@@pawel6661 I can help you, no joke. I've been obese and I've been through binge eating and so many other fucked up stuff. Tell me a way to communicate with you and I'll help you.
@@pawel6661 But as a kick-start, I'll tell you my case. I started by going low fat. Felt awesome at the beginning. Then I felt the urge to eat every two to three hours, if I don't, I get moody, agressive and irritated. Then I went low carb (20g per day), felt like shit, moody, irritated, couldn't sleep well, dehydrated all the time. I tried each for a week, with a day of fasting in the middle to "restart my body". I found out that I love the deadly combo (fats + carbs), but I also found out that I love fats a bit more than carbs. So I started increasing my carbs little by little until I reached a zone where everything felt comfortable. Full, energetic, no hunger pangs. This zone is 50g of NET carbs, I don't count fiber, and the rest was fat. (protein was fixed at 35% of my calories all the time). Now 50g doesn't sound that much, in order to be happy, I chose my favorite carb sources: potatoes (around 20g of carbs per potato) which is like.. One medium potato, which is a good portion, dates (5g of carbs per date, I have 3 in the morning), bread (Usually I eat white bread but I made a healthier choice by choosing rye bread) which is 15g of carbs per slice. And I just alternate according to what I want to eat! One day I'd eat 2 potatoes, another I'd eat 3 slices of bread, another I'd eat 2 slices of bread and 3 dates, heck, I'd just eat whatever HEALTHY carb I want in the limited boundary, with all the satisfying butter and cream and cheese and of course the usual protein. I also aim to eat them in the morning so that they get burned off, sometimes I divide it on my 3 meals, sometimes I'd eat half in the morning half in the evening. Sometimes I replace potatoes with turnips or pumpkin which gives the same satisfying texture for less carbs so I can have more carbs later (or earlier). And not because it's 50g of carbs for me, it needs to be 50g of carbs for you as well. It's just that for me, those extra slices of cheese satisfy me more than that extra piece of bread. I can replace the rice with cauliflower rice if I wanna eat potatoes later and still drizzle butter all over it. I can substitute the tortilla with an egg and 20 grams of oat flour in to get a similar texture with less carbs. Just work your way around it. And don't give in to temptations. I found out that when I reach my carb limit for the day, I don't really wanna eat more while I still have around 50g of fats left. So I'd be in a caloric deficit unintentionally. Wanna also know some foods that help? Pumpkin seeds (pepitas), raw cacao powder (dem fibers will fill you up, mixed with my protein shake and some heavy cream) you got yourself a cookies N cream shake at night, or morning, or as a snack. It really depends on why do you consume that "carb". Is it for texture? Find a substitute, is it for its taste? Eat it! Don't restrict yourself from what you love to eat and control the portion. Sometimes I wanna eat a ton of potatoes! I mix one potato with two turnips or some pumpkin. Again, this is just an example.
Good lord man, 5.3, good for you! I definitely understand Jessie’s concern about paper cuts 😂 I’ve purchased one of your programs Max Shred, and I’ve definitely seen and feel an improvement. My nutrition is better, I feel better. I tried to eat something unhealthy the other day and man, I felt it. My body is used to the healthy food and craves it now. Thank you for all that you do to provide excellent information!
Agreed man. I tried having a cookie after and was hardly able to take one bite. We don’t realize how much sugar is in food until it becomes clear that we’re just dulled by having more overtime. It’s crazy. People say have unhealthy food 20% of the time. They’re not doing it trust me. Also, do you ever have a certain amount of food and once you’re hypocaloric people start offering you shit all of the sudden?
Gaming IO For real bro...all the time, whenever I’m done eating for the day my parents offer me some take out food...but I’ve grown so used to my nutrition plan that it got easy to say no. Before I would just gobble up whatever they would get. Now I look back at all the fat I could’ve lost by just saying no 😂
Thanks for all the tips and knowledge Jeff!!! I'm 34 and feeling the best I've ever felt in my life. I started watching your RU-vid channel about a year ago in October and was 210 today I weigh 175 and have gotten pretty lean just following your tips. You really know what you're doing, thanks a million!!!!
The whole mindset to loose weight came from watching your videos. I've discovered you nearly 2 years ago and it changed my Life. I've never been happy with myself before, but now 2 years later i am healthy, happy, and my whole mindset towards myself and others changed. Thank you Jeff for beeing an inspiration for me and i guess alot of people out there
Jeff talks to us like a good friend. Daughter: Ma what are you doing? Me: I am talking to Jeff. Daughter: Who is Jeff? Me: My good friend who’s giving me a pep talk about life.
@SuperNoone89 I'm pretty sure calipers are regarded as one of the less accurate measurement methods for body composition, so it's likely off by a small margin. But just by looking at him in this video, I would say he's pretty much in stage shape.
Thank you Jeff! I've been "training" for 20 years and honestly and somewhat embarrassingly I've made more progress in my physique in the last 2 years since I discovered your channel than the 18 before lol. Not bragging but I'm always the most jacked guy in my gym by far and I'm just shy of 56, people are amazed actually that in my 50's and usually guess me 10 years younger of more. I recommend you to anyone and everyone that asks for info! Thank you for taking the time to teach with safe effective and Science based training.
I appreciate that Jeff points out that he takes his supplements and extra vitamins as a result of what he already doing. It would be pointless to use them if he didn't already have a solid base of consistent training and a balanced diet.
Ryan Sedig i think he also mentioned that in his earlier videos. He’s not gonna try to sell everyone his supplements and he even warned people to not buy any supplements unless you are really set on this path and go all in. Bcs buying supplements thinking they’re gonna magically make you lean is bs.
Rarely comment on anything but these videos have changed my life over the last month! I mostly used calorie deficient dieting and it worked out of sheer will power, I went from 310 to now 135 but still no abs and fighting to get lean muscle and the right look and I’m close but these video are really setting me on a different track! I’m not losing weight as fast but feel better, eat more, and hopefully will be on the road to success!
@@christianvennemann9008 I have had periods (summer) where i have some ab definition, i have found genetically or do to a little extra skin its never like body builder level but I do get insanely vascular through the rest of my body! Floating around 154lbs-165lbs depending on the season and goals. I also just did my first powerlifting comp! mostly glad i have not only kept up the lifestyle but really pushed my self to the next couple levels and have kept my self in fairly good shape!
Alcohol also has been shown to practically shut down your metabolism while it is processed. Any calorie burn you would have had is slowed down while the body decides to process and purge the toxins.
You are not just a very good athlete. You are a very decent MAN and the combination of these two is what puts you in my opinion at the very top in terms of influence, inspiration and aspiration, worldwide. Thank you for everything you have taught me over the years, I feel I owe you a lot even though I will probably never get to tell you that up close (a fan from Greece)
@Johnny Moris, I would not argue with that. If he told me 5%, I wouldn't argue with that either. (I tested at 5.9% once when I was in college; I think Jeff is leaner.)
Due to an illness I’m out of work and the gym is the only thing keeping my head sane This channel is a big inspiration and as soon as I have a decent income I’ll be getting a program sorted for training Keep the work up guys
i'm 33 yrs old. I started early January up to now. I lost my love handles, now there is just a bit of fat in my lower abs. I can tell you guys its super effective. And its not to late for us. Thanks Athlean-x and Jeff! more power to your chanel.
He has whipped cream with practically every meal lol Watch the video where he explains what he eats in a day. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DqXReXD_wZc.html
I recently dropped out of college to pursue becoming a trainer...your videos have helped me truly understand all of the information being thrown at me. You know what you’re talking about
@@ilovevipers101492 Read my last comment genius. Do you honestly thing someone of his frame size who eats and trains like he does would only weigh 173 on anabolic steroids?
@@ilovevipers101492 I know someone who doesn't workout and hes just as lean as jeff just because he's picky and he likes more protein dense foods. I've seen him order topping less sandwitches every single time we ate out. Point is, diet is everything and most of these gymbros take gear because its easier to get lean and not because its the only way.
@Taesu jeff uses some drugs and thermogenic. I eat small sincw ever bc i dont care aboit the pleasure of taste and even though, working out, fasting and having 1k kcal a day i am 14%. To get to 10% is very veet hard. To get to 5% and with 18 kgs of muscle it is impossible by onlt dieting. Jeff always conceals part of his routine habits. U know, it is the norm to be a big RU-vidr to say u are natty
Marcos Davi just because you can’t get to Jeff’s levels of body fat using a diet that’s unsustainable doesn’t mean that Jeff can’t do it naturally. It all comes down to genetics, and consistency. I don’t know how long you’ve been on your 1000 calorie diet, but I can guarantee that it couldn’t have been longer than a year because that kind of calorie deficit just isn’t sustainable long-term no matter how mentally strong you are or how little you enjoy food. Jeff’s been working hard for his body for decades. I’m not saying that it’s 100% guaranteed that he’s natural, but it’s definitely possible and I would give him the benefit of the doubt.
This is the most truthful and humble advise from any of the RU-vid Industry. He makes videos for people injuries always watching out for the health as anyone with any pain knows how difficult it is to live with any pain. Hes Hoenst and when he talks we all listen. Face Pulls for life 💯
Over several years I’ve been humbled by the information Jeff gives out for free. I’ve purchased a couple of his products and they are top drawer. I agree that Jeff chatting with Joe Rogan for a couple of hours would be essential viewing. Great stuff as always. Bravo! Edited for spelling.
@@John-ec3uz if there's one thing I learned because of 2020, its how important it is to learn how to workout at home or outside and using only things you have at your disposal. I was paying $650 a year for a gym that took 25 minutes to drive to and then required extra time for parking, checking in, waiting in line for equipment, not to mention dealing with other peoples sweat, smells, and noise.... Most of the excersizes you do at the gym can be replaced with at home excersizes. Use a backpack full of books or water bottles and do pushups, pullups, jumping lunges, swings, cleans, ect. Use a chin up bar for pull ups, chinups, L-sits, deadhangs... And if you can't find a bar, use a tree branch. The only Excersize I really miss from the gym was deadlift. But it's easy enough to make your own cement weights at home.
@@kennedylove2433 he does. But, he is the only one, that I know of, who doesn't believe in the bulk/cut approach. Everyone else on RU-vid talks bulking and cutting. I prefer Jeff's philosophy but I have to subscriv=be to his programs to know more, I guess.
Jeff i dedicate all my gains for you man , all of my gains because of you -Threw my gainer and got whey protein -Stopped chasing numbers and chased good form -my obliques are slick because of your stick sitting turn workout
Damn Jeff bring the TRUTH! Been following this guy for years, bought several of his workouts, and this is one of the best vids he's ever done IMHO. This is a solid dude.
Jeff, I just wanted to say thank you for doing these videos. I just started working out a year ago and had really no clue what I was doing. But after watching your Chanel, ( like every video lol) I have a better understanding, and you have helped me increase my overall fitness level. Please keep doing these.. You break down things simply enough for anyone to understand. You love y’all what you do and it shows. You are the real deal 💪🏻
@@vanbuddha1 Max shred was the first one and I went to that mostly on level one but sometimes at level two. I'm in the middle of Xero body weight work out program now. After this one completes I may go back through Max shred again but this time at levels 2 and 3 hopefully.
I started to get lean February 8, 2021 I was 237lbs and I had been heavier. Today I weighed 204.8. I will be 60 January and I want to be below 19% bf. you've been very helpful! and inspiration. Peace!
Staying lean is a lifestyle, it's a habit... All year round, it never stops.. My habit of staying lean is so engraved into my brain and lifestyle, I honestly forgot it was Decemeber this year and New Year Resolutions. If you can't make it a lifestyle and just want to look good for awhile, forget about it.
Jeff is such a huge motivation to me, as an asthmatic. It really sucks doing cardio for me, it always has. I wasnt a kid who played sports, I was a kid who stayed inside, played computer games and watched anime. Training now, I never grew out of that asthma like soo many doctors said I would. I am conditioning my body to act up less but I still dont do much cardio, I do HIIT every other day and weights on the other days. I've lost about 4% body fat with not much cardio, literally just lifting weights, the HIIT stuff is a new thing I've incorporated. It really is possible to lose body fat without cardio, but like Jeff said, nutrition is such a HUGE part of it. Good luck to everyone out there trying to achieve their goals.
