I think the WIX template will be a game changer as well :) I've been thinking more along the lines of what can I do to actually change the world, and things like the template came to mind. In theory, it should change the way people do affiliate marketing so with that said I want to make sure it's absolutely perfect before releasing it. Glad to see a video without all the fluff--good stuff man! Question for you: if you're creating an affiliate marketing site, specifically for articles and affiliate links, would you also try to sell your own products as well or just keep the site as purely affiliate links? I guess I'm wondering if people do a combo of selling their own private label products and also work on affiliate-linked articles. For example: a shopify store selling 1-2 "custom widgets" and then also producing other articles/content with affiliate links. Doe that make sense?

For the past 12 months I've been studying about network marketing and affiliate marketing and the more I learned the more confused I got in starting a strategy as there are hundreds of strategies. Hi Greg, I am really enjoying what I have seen so far and looking forward to your template. As someone new to building a website on Wix, I have found that content creation to be time consuming, especially if you are suggesting 30 posts to becomes relevant to Google. Regardless, I am plunging through but was wondering if there is a quicker way to move through this as I have ideas for additional website niches. I realize you need to walk before you run, but can you share any insight on how to move through posts quicker? Would Fiverr be appropriate to have someone create the posts from the template I have already started?

Thanks so much for the comment David! Template is almost ready! Great question about content creation! I've tried many outsourcing writers and the general rule of thumb has been, if it's affordable, it's going to be really bad.. Sounds harsh but it's been the truth over and over again. If you want to get properly written articles, it will be expensive (roughly $100 per article). If you have the funds to do this in the beginning, then just look for the writers that charge in that price range. The cheaper articles were a nightmare because I'd spend the same amount of time editing and being frustrated with their quality lol... Writing yourself in the beginning is definitely my recommendation because you have full control over quality.

Great question! Both WIX and WP can make the same amount, it's just about which platform you like to use for your site more. If you write 30 posts on the site, you can expect an average of $1000 per month by month 12 and $3000 per month by month 24. I hope that helps!

Great question! As with all things in business, it's not guaranteed to profit but it will definitely lead to affiliate sales. I personally play the long game and do not use paid ads (I let me content rank over time) however for those that need to see that affiliate sales are real, paid ads can be a quick way to prove that.

Does article quality matters? You say to take content from reviews and all will the quality match to google standards?

Great question! Content is king. I always recommend making the content as good as you possibly can, Google will appreciate it. Google is really good at finding and promoting great content, so the better you can make it, the better it will perform in search results. In regards to the reviews, I dont recommend copying the review exactly, but use it as reference for your knowledge and write your synopsis of it in an easy to digest way for the reader on your site. In regards to your question about the products, I tend to stay away from Clickbank (and dont have a ton of experience with commission junction) because I've found a lot of their offers to be for pretty "scammy" products. I like to stay with Amazon Associates affiliate program, or individual companies with great products. I hope that helps!

Decided to go ahead and repost it.... Hi Greg!...been a while. I've been unwell but I'm feeling so much better now. I am so glad to see how much you have grown in my absence... can't say I'm surprised. Congrats! Anyway, in my absence I was accepted by Merch but since I wasn't able to do anything with it at the time, they suspended the account. I reapplied but I got rejected which doesn't make sense since they accepted me the first time. Any advice please? Also, do you think it's too late to start creating Christmas Designs? I just started yesterday and it'll probably take me till 1st week of November to finish uploading the whole 300 or so designs? Is it too late? Am I wasting my time? And lastly, what are your thoughts on decorative pillow Merch? I found a new niche but I think pillows would be best for the designs. Thoughts? I hope you are doing great. It's really great to be back again... have so much of your videos to catch up on. Cheers.

Hi Ada! Glad to hear that you are doing better..! First off, sorry for the delayed response! I was overwhelmed and had to go into a maniac work mode for a couple weeks to clear my plate! For Merch, I would re-apply again with another email until you get accepted again, then just be sure to get some items uploaded to keep the account open :) I would skip the Christmas designs until next year when your account is more established. T-shirts and apparel definitely sell far more than any household items in my experience. However I always recommend testing your ideas, especially in the print on-demand realm, so I would give it a shot! I hope that bit of information helps and great to see your name here again!

Always upgrade before starting to post your content. Google will not rank a free site and you cannot connect a custom domain to a free wix site properly. I hope that helps!

So lets say I make a niche website with about 30 posts. Should I then have an affiliate link to some sort of product in every single one of those posts? So then I would have 30 affiliate products on my site.

Yes absolutely. 30 articles on your site will deem it a full site and no longer a new site. You can either continue building the site, or you can diversify yourself by building another site with 30+ articles on it (and continue repeating that process). I prefer to diversify by building multiple sites with 30 or more articles on them.

Does anyone know if the "Disney" typography can be used in designs in Merch by Amazon? I started using Typorama and Disney font is available.

That font is designed by Disney exclusively and cannot be reproduced as it will be copyright infringement and grounds for a lawsuit from Disney and no legitimate site will allow products with it to be sold on their online marketplace, Amazon, Ebay, etc.
