I have done 15 standard care course, IELTS UKVI ( with band 7), a registered Nurse and have been applying and as well calling although I get feedbacks but it is usually "oh, immpressive but we do not recruit from a red list country. But all hope is not lost, I will keep trying and hopefully get a positive response very soon.

@@wakawakadoctor Hers is only the ..3rd..maybe..that I've heard that got an offer by calling direct. The Care Homes and Hospitals who are willing to take expatriate workers here typically prefer an authorised agency to do the leg work of vetting and certifying, hence why this her situation is rare. This process is time consuming and expensive, hence why we all hear about the cost of getting a CoS for many. This obviously varies from one agency or home to another and is relatively subjective, has lot to do with what the (care) business owner wants and the amount of vetting and what the package includes,...but not without reason. Also, getting this liscence to bring people is now very expensive and the conditions very tough.

A certificate of Sponsorship has to come from the employer cos it serves as one's right to work in the UK. And without the COS, one cannot apply for a visa. Please can you please let us know if the employer will be providing us with the COS? This is the only reason why I still haven't gotten a job in the UK. Once you say you don't have the certificate, employers will drop you. Expectong your reply please, thanks
