I’ve done this to SR for 0 speed Ursaluna. But I’m pretty sure you need to unlock at least the surf mechanic for the ride pokemon, otherwise you can’t get to Ursaluna. Important to note that Ursaluna will always be level 70, it’s not like the other kitakami mons that do the level scaling thing. Also, the starter tip works for any pokemon caught in the alt game. Which is helpful if you’re trying to SR for Ursaluna. Because then you can catch something in the game, send it to main account, EV it to outspeed 0speed Ursaluna by exactly 1 point, bring it back and then if Ursaluna moves before you, just reset, until you find one that doesn’t 😂

Ooh, that's smart, I def spent a lot of time going through the post-fight cutscene to check the IVs manually. I think I still got pretty lucky tho in my search bc it only took a few hours to get a good enough one

You dont need the surf mechanic, you just need to jump the river high up in the mountain then jump off towards the forest, you would need surf if you were going into the forest the intended way though

Hey someone who got a 0 speed bloodmoon Ursaluna. You actually DONT need ANY of the miraidon/koraidon abilities to get to bloodmoon Ursaluna, although it is quite tough to do so…

Currently did this with SwSh to get the other regi and horse legendary, and the other urshifu. Will repeat once more to keep a kubfu for living dex in home 😊

Interesting to know that the dlc’s wild Pokémon levels can be low in the early game. I likely won’t do this on my spare account, but it’s certainly interesting.

I dont remember if this is true because i never tried it but if you have a stocked save file with level 100 pokemon, you can transfer a level 100 pokemon from that save file over to ur new save file. From what i heard, if a pokemon from ur save in SV obeys you in the save, it will continue to obey you even in the new save

Can this also be done to get the koraidon/Miraidon in area zero in the postgame? Would obviously take a lot longer, but I traded my extra miraidon for a koraidon to complete the dex, so I’d love to get another miraidon again :)

It absolutely can be done. I’m in the process of doing that secondary playthrough to stick a Miraidon in my Home Dex also. I did this exact process when playing Sw/Sh to get all the legends there for the living dex too.

I didnt even consider using a second account to get more beast balls. I was just frustrated how hard they are to get in the current gen, but maybe i'll farm a few up now since that whole process would also give you the shiny charm.

Having multiple saves that are fully finished to get 6 star raids, you'll be able to get multiple 7* raids and catches

I’m currently trying this, however, you are unable to update your raid events without linking to a NSO account. It’s probably only possible to do offline when playing on the primary account, but not an alt/ guest account.

I never thought about making a second account. I’m definitely gonna do this with the Paradox Legendary Beast when the Indigo Disk releases. I have a feeling Walking Wake, Raging Bolt, and the Ancient Entei may only be catchable once, same case with the future Swords of Justice

At the time of writing this it’s the H Typhlosion raid event. I thought I can catch one on my main and through this guest account method. However when trying to update my raids on my guest account (I have unlocked the ability to do 7 star dens in the story already) I’m always prompted to link to an NSO account, preventing me from participating in the event.

do you need to have the DLC to catch the ruinous pokemon or can you just get the stakes. doesn't seem like you need the DLC for those mons or does this method specifically require the DLC cause i don't have it. Does this also work for catching your extra Koraidon or Miraidon?

Hello Osirus I also did this on Legends of Arceus to have a second set of legendaries, one i can retain on my Arceus and one I can transfer to my Violet, When i tried to do this on Violet, I did purchase my DLC on my main account but i can't seem to use it on the 2nd account, how do i get access to the DLC on the second user? it says link a nintendo account on my end

Nevermind i got it to work, so the issue was, I had my switch replaced since my previous one broke and it was the primary console, then the one i have been using (new switch) was not the primary console and the DLC does not go through the other users, i just deactivated it from their website and made my new switch the primary console to make the other users use the dlc, Thank you! :) enjoyed your content thanks hehe

Any idea how to get the DLC to trigger in my case? I followed the steps but the new file doesn’t seem to acknowledge the DLC purchase. I didn’t link it to a different Nintendo account or anything. My system does come up with “Unplayable downloadable content or update was found” if I put the system in airplane mode, any idea how to fix?

Is your switch the primary for the game you got? The account with the dlc should be primary for your switch.

When you make that second account, do you need to link that to a new Nintendo online account to access Pokémon Home, or can you do this without ever creating a second Nintendo online account?

You don’t need another home account. You’ll always open home with the same main account that you always do. The one difference is before choosing which game to connect with, you’ll change the profile above. Very handy for swapping Pokémon between different files for quick leveling or filling the pokedex

You really buried the information that will speed this all up. Transferring your starter through Home to your main game to level it up will let you play the game with a level 100 Pokemon right away. Even better if you do this with something like a Flamigo which will have better coverage than the starters.

This works. I got 4 Ogerpons and Bloodmoon Ursalunas with this method. This also works with SwSh, so I got another Urshifu and two Kubfus. It is a bit grindy but I will try to get another copy of the 4 Ruin Legendaries.

You'd need a separate switch and game to do that as items cant trade through pokemon home unfortunately :(

While you do need a separate Switch, if you setup the same profile you use for Home on both, you can setup a renewable source of fancy Poké Balls for the cost of around 30 minutes of playtime each run and 10 minutes of local trading. Just get to the first Pokémon Center as fast as possible.

Your starter will always listen to you regardless of the level or how many badges you have so should be ok on that front 👍 i wasn’t sure about the oinkologne but never had any problems using it in battle without any badges but I don’t know if it was because it’s the one I caught from the catching tutorial with nemona at the start of the game. Hope this helps though

Yes although it would mean playing through the whole game, but basically this will work on any of the exclusive pokemon in game some of them just are a bit more time consuming to get than others :)

Ppl really didnt realize you could do this like I started doing this in in SWSH done it with Legends,BDSP, & currently have 4 finished playthroughs of SV and on starting a fifth. FYI have both versions so two playthroughs per & figuring who to get for the fifth

No you don’t need to buy an additional dlc it will work with a new save under a new account as long as you follow what I did in the video when setting up a new user. This can be done with one copy of the game and dlc pack :)

As long as the account that owns the DLC has that switch set as its primary console, then you won’t need to buy the DLC again. And yes, it will work with SWSH DLCs too

To get Ursaluna you only need a completed Pokedex. So easy farming those pokemon

No unfortunately not at the moment as they are dependant on its mask items, this may change in future updates to the game although right now its not the case :( hope this helps

Thanks for the video, but I think for me it would just be easier to buy Pokémon scarlet to get the exclusive DLC legends I can not be bothered with doing all that lol

you just forgot to mention that since you need to level up your monsters to around 40 you will need to get a couple of badges

yes this will work on digital copies of the game just the same, I dont have digital copies of Scarlet or Violet to test on but I have done this multiple times on my digital copies of Sword and Shield for their exclusives. hope this helps :)

@@OsirusI might as it’s what I had to do to get another Urshifu under my OT as I way back when accidentally released mine from Sword/Shield but all is rectified since then. I had no idea this was a thing and when I found out it took time but Surging Strike Urshifu was mine once again ❤ dumb mistake but I wasn’t paying attention. Things happen and I was upset for a long time. Granted Kubfu takes less time than this but not by much.

HOW DID I NOT KNOW YOU COULD DO THAT WITH POKÉMON HOME??? This changes everything omg. I saved up to buy a whole new switch so I could transfer Pokémon from my game to by brothers game. Not to mention having to purchase new copies of the games for my 2nd switch. I really wish I would’ve known this sooner. Could’ve saved so much money. God I’m such a dumbass

Anyone able to help, tried doing this, got to the point when am on my treasure hunt and the dlc didn't trigger, even tried doing a gym badge and still no dlc. Not sure why it's not starting

[How I solved: happens that I had bought the DLC from another console, and the checking file for the purchase had been dowloaded there and not here. So I had to go to: All Software > roll all the way down to "Redownload Software" > select your account with which you have purchased the DLC > redownload the DLC of SV, which should be listed there] if this doesn't work and you had just recently transferred your account to a new switch, it could be that the switch you're trying to do it on isn't registered as the primary device and needs to be switched so it is

Ahh legend!!! Turns out since i got my new switch it wasnt set to primary console, which you would think nintendo would automatically do when you switch to a new one. so fixing that resolved my issue :)@@darkcaster8860

Before watching, I assume you’ll transfer them to home, restart game, repeat, then transfer all of them into your game after you’re done resetting. Let’s see!

Yeah it’s already a well known method but a lot of newer players have been asking about this recently so wanted to do an updated version for the SV games for those who aren’t aware of the method :)
