Worth defining at the start of the idea what acronyms like ‘ERT’ and ‘VHRT’ mean for newer players who won’t necessarily know. I obviously do, but some might have been head scratching.
@@cpt_foxyloxy Yow Fox love the guide, currently im on the HRTs level contract, but the Pro Tem Group warrant mission wont appear on my contact mission app, did they change it or is there another mission that i need to do to get it?
Great info. Maybe summarize the levels in Excel tables? Each video keeps getting better! PS I use the F8 Lightning now for certs, but I used the Harbinger before and that was very versatile and made for an easy 'coffee' grind! o7
I hope soon they add in another level of bounties. Something like 'ET' Emergency Target. Give massive pay but you gotta take down an Idris. Also if you want super easy, chill bounty hunting, get yourself a Constellation, 600i, or Corsair. (Corsair is the cheapest of the 3, and has the heaviest firepower in the game for pilot)
I have a few more things to add to this video. Good info in general but you can get them done much faster with an Ion Inferno, the ammo is inexpensive and plentiful easy and fun to fly. But to capitalize on its ammo, sprinting in killing each target in under a minute and on to the next contract is the fastest to get this going. I can do 1 contract in under 2-3 minutes depending on the location. That means potentially doing 30 in an hour
A year late to this video, but you've explained basically everything except for 1 thing I was curious about, and that is, IF I grind bounties near Crusader, but then go to Hurston, will my Bounty Tier sync with that area? I get HRT targets when I chill around Yela, but not any HRT's when at Hurston.
Great video man, thanks! I would just add one thing - the written name of the ships you are talking about. For most new players and non-native english speakers it could be hard to get. For example, I don't get what was the recomend ship, keep hearing IONS
Man I have been trying to do bounties forever but find it so difficult trying to lock on to a ship and blow it up in dog fight. I wish they gave you some sort of tips while dog fighting to help you out.
I am totally not a dogfighter, so I also watch vids like Avangers 1 to learn dogfights, but one advice, is watch out for missiles in this patch. I am also preparing a short video about missiles. They are very deadly in this patch.
A lot of ships come with gimballed weapons that provide an aim assist. Therefore if you press G and get a dotted circle, you’ll find it easier to get your shots on target. The ‘cost’ of gimballed weapons is that they take the weapons size down one, so for more agile ships as you become a more experienced combat pilot, it’s then common to remove the gimbals and go fixed a size up, for the increased fire power you can get from that.
@@cpt_foxyloxy No i dont gimbal. i have 2 M7A Laser Cannons (size5) Fixed.. The advantege of having 2800m range with the size 5 weapons comes realy handy, so i can easiely hunt down Hammerheads and can stand out of there range.
ever heard of a cute little ship called the constellation ? any of the constellation models to be honest ... u get around 3140dps with laser cannons and 1900 dps with laser repeaters ...
i miss having an INFERNO the missiles where epic for Arena commander clearing but i'm trying to do tip focused content now. really gotta get my groove back i really want a Glave
40 missions each for HRT and VHRT is way too much imo. Think 25 would be a more reasonable amount. I've done the grind to ERT several times and it can be a real hassle and take a lot of hours.
@@cpt_foxyloxy I actually got into a scorp with a random who was about to start doing HRTs yesterday, I have only done 1 bounty in 3.18 before that. So we did his HRT certification first , and now I actually get HRT missions before I can even get any others... bug much?
Foxy, you messed with the Ares since they got buffed again? I flew the Inferno recently and it seemed okay, but it's been years since I played and I wasn't around for the nerf.
@@cpt_foxyloxy if you get a wild hair, let us know! Love your vids btw, using this one to help me prepare to bring a bunch of my guys back into the game after years long hiatus haha
I was grinding VLRT bounties, combat beacons and monitor missions for the first two days of the patch, then I got the 'unstowed' and 30018 error, so I have not been able to play since. I've also seen post on Spectrum and IC that more ppl are reporting server login issues...
That is indeed another big issue right now. It happened to me as well, sometimes I got stuck at 20391 entities, after wait for 6 to 7 minutes, sometimes I can get in, so try that see if it helps
Hey Foxy, any hint to regain a PRO TEM Cert. mission? I took this mission twice shortly after 3.18 came out and the server died two times while doing it, so they failed. Never got them again.
I got the same problem, there is an easy way to fix it, you just need someone in the server or your alt account or a friend to reshare that mission with you.
@@cpt_foxyloxy Yea, we tried that today. As soon as I accepted the shared mission, it failed for both of us. Leading to negative (red) reputation for both in the Northrock...
@@cpt_foxyloxy Indeed I had CS2 while accepting. Got this just infront of it for locking missiles on the red target, which became white for a moment. :D But I found a workaround to get pos. rep with Northrock...I've done the Dark Hollow fps mission for 35k on MT, which enabled the Group Cert again in CRU. The whole solution finding process took the whole night! :D
@@cpt_foxyloxy so after that message i hit HRT by doing 10 group MRT and a few MRT. Idk how that maths with 2 different factions but im guessing ill science a bit and see what happens. Going to try the solo way like you said first. Group MRT take me 15ish min to do in full atm with the arrow.
These are basic terms in Star Citizen The level of risk of a bounty target. In order of lowest risk to highest, it goes: VLRT - very low risk target LRT - low risk target MRT - medium risk target HRT - high risk target VHRT - very high risk target ERT - extreme risk target
Very tedious to listen to the unnecessary crap about how much each damn mission pays, or what order the certifications and how many missions need to be done. FFS you could have cut the length of this video in half.
