About Nicholeen Peck
========================
Despite your best efforts at raising children, is your family dysfunctional? Do your children set the rules and have control of your home instead of you? Are you looking for parenting skills that will help you create a united, happy family?
Then meet Nicholeen Peck, one of the world’s most effective parenting experts. Whether you want to fix child behavioral issues, create more unity in the home, or simply strengthen your family relationships, her proven system - Teaching Self-Government - can help you turn chaos into calm.
"People are starving for help to save their families," says Nicholeen.
Since 1999, her seminars, workshops, one-on-one training sessions, parenting videos and books have helped thousands of families worldwide regain peace, be happy and maintain unity in their home. The secret? Learning how to use effective family systems based on parenting that’s deliberate and pro-active (instead of reactive). It all starts with the principles of self-government. If you’re a family of faith, you’ll especially love how your faith and values can be woven into her parenting system.
In 2009, Nicholeen and her husband starred in the BBC reality TV show, “The World’s Strictest Parents” (watch here: bit.do/StrictestParents). She became an overnight sensation by turning around two out-of-control teenagers from England after just one week - without shouting, threats or manipulation. Her amazing success comes from the positive parenting techniques of using calmness, effective communication and principles of self-government.

I found your channel yesterday. Tone is everything. So much is so true-we are motivated to start with our 6. 3 adopted. I wondered how your techniques work with children that aren’t Neuro typical- kids on the spectrum/ Neuro processing disorders etc. We are in crisis but God is faithful and I know he led me here.

That’s who this program was designed for. I took in foster children who were not neuro typical, and this is what we did.

Such a good character and good advices. I have a little brother that keeps lie ALL the time... I just knew he is lying and i could easily break him down to confess. But that wasn't gonna help isnt it?... I needed to know of a safe route to approach the situation to solve it in the best possible way. This video was more than amazing and helpful thank you!

I have my 12 year old nephew and 9 year old niece in my care and lying, dishonest chores, and pretty much everything you said. This has become such a big problem for the boy just like you said everything EVERYTHING that comes out of his mouth was some sort of lie. I told him last night at my breaking point that if he needs to start being the trustworthy person that he wants to be he needs to start telling the truth and being honest. I’m going to share with them your story, and change my tone I know that that can be something I need to work on especially if it helps him to stop.

What if you can't get the child to own up to the lie?
@TeachingSelfGovernment

Then you have to go by intuition/inspiration. Then, pre-teach that, in the future, if they don't want to have negative consequences for what you feel is a lie, then they need to do lots of things in honesty and truth to gain back your trust and make deposits into the "relationship bank account."

I have a hard time telling the truth to my boyfriend
@TeachingSelfGovernment
@TeachingSelfGovernment Год назад
That could be for a number of reasons. It could be that you're scared of revealing the truth because it could cause conflict, which is often undesirable. It could also be that your trust is weak, which makes you wary of opening up. I'm not sure of your situation, but I'm sure I could answer more of your question if I knew more of your situation. I'd be happy to give you more advice on my Support Group call! Here's the link, if you'd like more information: teachingselfgovernment.com/store/support-group/ I hope this helps!
