Thanks for making this video. Only piece of advice as someone who had this issue till teen and stayed in a boarding school - don't belittle them, insult them, show your anger repeatedly or take them to a charlatan "doctor". At some age, they will grow out of it - no medicine needed. Give them diapers. Let them know it's understandable (if they have this issue) or teach your child to not belittle your friends if they have this issue. If you get angry with your child or insult them, their self-confidence will go down a lot and really won't help in his growth.

Thank you for the encouragement to stay calm!😢 I'm a tired mommy here, googling desperatly for a solution 😔 it happens in phases. But its been a constant for months now. Basically after removing nappies at night. His nearly 5 now. Also wets at school during nap time. I just couldn't anymore this morning!!! This helped calm me down. Thanks to all the comments too that shows it from the wetters side. I love my son and don't want to cause him emotional damage 🙈

I’m someone who had this issue. What I started doing was asking myself “am I dreaming?” right before I use the bathroom, and force myself to open my eyes a little bit. I do this awake, until it becomes a hobby, and I naturally started doing it in my dreams too.

Your most recent videos have really resonated with what I've been going through. I believe it's God giving me the tools. I started potty training my 2 year a few days ago. I also started giving my 4 year old a sticker everytime she keeps her bed dry. They get to pick out a little surprise when they fill up a chart with stickers🎉 they're both super excited about it ☺️

Sorry, I was not impressed with this video or with the tips. I was expecting a bit more unfortunately. So what exactly were the tips for my 7-year-old? No fluids. Wake him up before I go to bed and throughout the night. And have him tell himself that he needs to get up every morning? 🤔

I'm sorry your expectations weren't met here. I hope you were able to take what information was helpful, though!

You are implying that a child has the power to control his or her situation and it can be learned. Totally incorrect. I would have done anything when I was growing up to “learn” how I could stop wetting the bed. I have always been a deep sleeper. My physical system never gave me any alerts or signals to empty the bladder. It just happened and I had absolutely no control. Your theory sounds to me like a bed wetter can be taught to control the urges. I vehemently disagree.

You’ve always been a deep sleeper but you don’t see the potential value in a parent waking the child and taking them to the bathroom? I didn’t always get to him in time, but definitely trains the body to get up and walk to the bathroom.

Me too

My parents tried a couple of different ways 1) using an alarm clock to wake me up and 2) physically waking me up to take me to the bathroom. Even if I emptied my bladder, say 3 to 4 hours into my sleep I would still wet my bed during a later part of the sleep cycle. My bed wetting stopped during adolescence. There was no "cure", it just happened. Till I stopped bed wetting I struggled through the humiliation and unpleasantness of living through it at home and outside the home.
