Ive been besting my head agaiamt the wall for 2 days. Thank you for tellingus about the ftdx3000 issue wirh WSJT-X. Cant wait to try again in the morning, using the Ftdx5000 setting as rig.
@@AG6AG It worked out just fine! Sorry for the previous typos. Wish they would fix the FTDX3000 software issue. Others shouldn't have to go through the frustration.
Thank You Shel... great job on all the various focus settings on your cameras... attention to detail you demonstrate makes for a wonderful viewing experience. I have the 101MP and have not put my toe into digital modes yet.... maybe in the Winter when I am house bound... again thanks... 73 Art W1SWL
I wish you would take another look at this subject with the new FT 710,,,,the menus and subject descriptors, just don't line up with my radio....which will soon overtake the 7300....could be a lot of views ( and gratitude), for you ! PS Far more interested in capturing audio off HF into my PC and playing it back to them via the USB cable ....( How to PTT that audio playback is the problem )
At around 14:30 you might say that YOU WILL NOT see the drivers UNLESS you connect your pc to the radio. THEY WILL REMAIN HIDDEN. This one drove me nuts. I'd download the drivers, install then, and then look for them... THEY WOULD NOT SHOW. You must connect the computer to the radio.
Hi Baz, This is usually just a driver issue. Verify that the com ports are actually listed in the device manager and are COM4 and COM5. It's also important to make sure that you properly installed the drivers for the com ports from Yaesu. Hope this helps you sort it out, Stu AG6AG
Hi Stu I watched your video with keen interest. As good as the video is, I'm still struggling setting up my FT-2000 d. I'm finding the menu and written totallly different from the 991a I previouslyb used. Could you point me in the right direction please
It looks like the FT-2000d doesn't have a built in sound card? If that's the case you will need to use an external sound device such as a Signalink. Stu AG6AG
Thanks for the help. Have one issue, why does WSJT-X change the mode on my Yaesu FTDX-10 from USB to DATA-U ? . When I change it back and reset frequency as soon as I hit Transmit- It jumps back from USB to DATA-U ? Appreciate your help !!!!
I have a Yeasu FT2000 and a USB Digimode 3 connector and I am unable to get HamRadioDeluxe up and running. The prompt tells me that the computer does not recognize the frequency?? No one seems to be able to answer me at least at the level I am. Thanks NO3G Steve
Just got my FTDX10 about a year ago and finally jumping into the digital capabilities of this rig. I watched your video and got all excited. Went out to the garage and dug through my bin of USB cables only to find I don't have an A to B! I'll be watching the setup videos for FT8 on the FTDX10 while waiting on the cord from Amazon...
Thank you so much for this video was having a nightmare trying to get my dx10 to connect with the laptop job sorted after watching your very step by step of how ..thanks again ..73 john n/e England
Great Job Stu. I appreciate you showing each menu change on the 3000. This video is by far the best one I have watched on the 3000. Thanks for a great video, looking forward to future videos you do. 73'S
Hi APF, You will need an external sound card device to talk to your radio. Here is the Signalink setup video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WVy_venLlMc.html There is also a ton of info in the videos in this playlist: ru-vid.com/group/PLvg1CrZfziQsEZRpoa_Q8i2ytbNe_wyOn Hope this helps you get setup! Stu AG6AG
Great vido Stu. I dwnld fr Yeasu and installed the drivers, followed your instructions, however when I connect my cable to the computer and look for the COM ports none are there. When I display "Drivers by Type" (under "view)", they show up as "oem116.inf (silabser.inf)" and "oem118.inf (ser2pl_1.inf)" but I don't get a COM number. HELP. Running on an HP Windows 11 Home Ver 23H2 Radio is a FTdx10. Again HELP.
Hi Jack, This can be caused by they device identifying before the Radio Drivers were installed. There are a couple of things you can try: 1) With the radio on, open up the device manager and right click the two misidentified devices. Select delete device. Do this on device at a time. Once they are both deleted refresh the device tree and see if they show up as COM ports. 2) If (1) doesn't work, find where the device drivers were installed by the and for each of the devices select "Update Drivers". Say you want to choose the driver and browse to the location if the drivers on the computer. Select the driver and see if that resolves the issue. Hope that get's you going... Stu AG6AG
Hey Stu, thanks for taking the time to help with this problem. I tried both suggestions but it didn't help. I even went so far as to try using another computer (it's also is a HP running the same Windows version). Little backstory, I have the same problem with my FTdx1200. I'm beginning to think it is a problem with the computer more so than the radios. Again thanks.
Yes I'm trying to install comport drivers for my FTdx10. I got it about 8 months ago and have been struggling with installing the comport drivers ever since. What I meant about the 1200 is that I had the same problem trying to install comport drivers for it, simply gave up on it.
