Most videos say hold the needle at a 90 degree angle. That was also recommended by my hospital pharmacist, who monitors my INR for my blood thinner levels. I’m having a Colonoscopy next month and I will be injecting Enoxaparin using pre-dosed needles. I stop taking the Warfarin 5 days before the test, but I’ll be injecting the pre filled syringes of the Enoxaparin starting when I stop the pills. It’s so confusing. To top it all of I hate needles. I sometimes faint when I see my blood drawn, I don’t watch anymore.
Some people recommend drawing back on the plunger after insertion to ensure there's no blood IE make sure you didn't hit a blood vessel. Does that make any sense, should I? Great vid, thanks!
Why is it important to rotate injection sites? I use my Sure-click auto injector in the same spot every two weeks with no issues. Is there some absorption issue or something like that?
