I am pro therapy. I am pro prayer. I am pro licensed therapist. I am pro guidance counselor. I am pro counselor. I am pro psychiatrist. I am pro vitamins. I am pro prescribed medication for mental and physical health. I believe that God, in His infinite wisdom and beautiful grace, has given us access to all of the things I mentioned (and more) to help us through this thing called life! If the things I support make you uncomfortable, you do not have to let me know. If you show up in my comments being messy, argumentative, or a distraction from what I have worked incredibly hard to share in this video, you may get your comment deleted. God bless you!!
This makes me so happy to hear. It seems like a lot of people are therapy vs God or The rest of the world vs Christians and it feels chaotic and wrong. So thanks for this video ❤
Therapy really helps. I’m 33. I was in therapy regularly (weekly) in my early 20s after about a year , I stopped going regularly then saw my therapist 3-4 times a year. Back in November I caught Covid, isolated for 2 weeks because I didn’t want to get my dad sick. It also flared up a chronic illness I seemed to have gotten in control. Anxiety and stress levels went into overdrive. Thankfully, my therapist had an opening every Thursday. It really helped me. I have since gone to every two weeks now. But just the fact that I had her support during those rough times. Please do not be afraid to get the help that you need. Therapy and Jesus. Of course, Jesus first. But therapy really helps and I believe God has bless therapist to do the work that they do.
This video has come at the right time. I have been considering going to one of the therapists at my Christian university as they have free therapy for us students. I have had a rough semester and I have really been thinking about going, but I have been too afraid to take the step to do it.
Dude!! That's where I got started. Free therapy at my Christian college. It's free and they're legally obligated to listen and not be weird. I know it's hard but I think it could be worth it for you to go.
I love that you are shedding light and giving a path to get help. I love your music and your journey. I am finishing up my MMFT grad program at a Christian university. I will be a christian licensed professional counselor. You can find christians in any level of mental health if your would like to incorporate the spiritual aspect into your healing process. A person just needs to ask in the initial interview with the mental health professional if incorporating their christian faith is high priority. Incorporating your faith in your healing journey is always recommended and beneficial. Thank you for keeping it always real. Veronica
I love watching and listening to you. I love your personality (I know... me and all your 'fans'.) That said, I really wanted to mention your mic. I don't know what you're using, if you'd like to share... please do... 😁
