This video will absolutely not teach you how to graduate but you will learn how to spell Spider-Man. Socials: / max.fosh Massive thank you to Newcastle University for not shutting me down whilst filming this.
Don forget the Background Story (throwing a Paper-Plane out of the Window etc.), and the incredible plot twist rich story of Barney, who didn't talk at all, but he looked like he wanted to talk and then... HE TALKED
speaking as someone who got their degree in English (writing emphasis) 23 years ago, I almost immediately got a GREAT, high-paying job! ....due to my dual degree in computer science, a minor in math, a near-degree in Physics (I was short 2 credits my senior year) an additional minor in Printing/Publishing, almost 2 years of work experience via internships, and my parents paying off all my loans and letting me live in my room at home for 6 months while finding a job.
Max, I found your channel through the fashion week video from your friends. I wouldnt have clicked on your videos otherwise but I'm glad I did because you make a perfect interviewer. I think that you need to change the title and thumbnail of your videos to attract more viewership. You dont neccesarily need to be click-baity but I think at least showcase something that will be interesting in the video or make the audience curious on a question that'll be answered in the video. I know that may be part of your style/craft but with so many videos online, people scroll past so quickly and if your title/thumbnail gives no indication that the video will be interesting (or even what the video is about), then no one will watch them. I hope my comment doesnt offend you. I just want to see you get the recognition you deserve because this is great content!
Thank you so much for your comment and no! Of course it doesn't offend, its all about listening to constructive criticism. I'll use this video as an example, what would you have called it? What do you think would entice people in?
@@MaxFosh Thank you for accepting my thoughts. I feel you should have so many more subs and when you do the title/thumbnail wouldn't matter as much. That's a tough question for me since I'm not creative in any way but as a viewer I couldnt anticipate what the video would be about so I didnt know if it'd be interesting. I feel the current title seems to draw those who want to know how to graduate, which may not be applicable to most viewers. For an interview with grads, it might be more fitting if it said something like "What's next for graduates of ______" or " So you spent $40000 and 4 years of your life, now what?" I dont know much about the university that you're interviewing but I would maybe showcase the university's distinct traits. Like "what's next for graduates of this Ivy League college" or something like that. Or you could find a very funny/interesting thing one of the interviewees said and put part of it in the quote or as a text in the thumbnail which makes people wonder what it's about. You have a great sense of humor so I think you can come up with a lot if you try to imagine what would make someone curious. I like that you've tied your series together with the name Streetsmart and since I know what that is, it draws me in. People who havent seen any of your videos dont know so it's good to give them an idea of what sort of entertainment the video will provide. And I think the last title on the poshest sport was good because it was a question people want answered. They probably never thought about the topic but now wonder what the sport is and it also sets the tone that the video will be light-hearted and humorous as it doesnt seem like a serious, scientific type of question.
@@evefoodie8798 Thank you so much for taking the time to do this! I will make sure next time I will properly think about the Thumbnail and the title to draw more people in
Quite a lot of people fancy saying that studying certain fields will end up in a very average career and yet, despite all this talk it's still far more about the subjective ambitions of the graduates and not so much dependent on the actual field the degree was acquired in.
Currently working on my Master's degree in literature, I feel this on a different level ... main reason I'm doing an MA now is because I didn't know what to do with myself after the BA, lol
12 years is the average to pay off a student loan? I doubt it! I graduated 9.5 years ago, earned well above average since then, and I'm not even half way to paying it off.
Every english literature graduate I've seen so far is either in advertising or a youtuber As an english literature student, this is not quite reassuring
For an english literature graduate, it's a shame the context of your/you're was screwed up at 1:12 or the interesting spelling of Egypt at 2:53...that's £27k well spent!
