@@richardtelford407 Hi Richard. Many thanks for watching and the question. Generally speaking, so long as the compost is well watered prior to sowing the seeds, the compost stays moist enough through to the point of where the seeds have germinated. Once the seeds have germinated and showing a small amount of green sprouts then remove the lid from the heated propagator or remove the whole tray of seedlings from the propagator. Once out of the propagator then just keep the compost slightly on the moist side, don’t overwater. I hope you have great success in growing more Alliums 🪴🌸

@@BaxtiyarIsmayilov-fj2hq Hi. Many thanks for watching and for your message. If you plant the seeds in spring of 2025 then I would expect them to produce flower in 2028. It’s not a certainty but generally 2 or 3 years from seed to flowering for the smaller Allium types. Alternatively, if you don’t want to wait that long then you can lift and divide the bulbs to produce new clumps. The original bulbs would flower next year as normal but with the smaller bulbs flowering the following year. Hope this helps 🪴🌸

@@diyhomeandgardeningThey are seeds from bulbs I planted 12 years ago. Being retired, I can't remember what I had for breakfast. :) Edit: I do remember having the word Globe in the variety name. So many Globemaster.

Any update on what the seeds are looking like now? I have giant allium and globemaster seeds that I saved from last Summer. Maybe a bit late now to sow? Might give it a go anyway!

@@NatalieCK1 So far they haven't sprouted. Everything else I planted have. I'm only giving them one more week to sprout. I did shake a few seed heads on the ground last year. I'll see if any will come up. If not, this fall, I'll make a small special bed to plant this years seeds in at a recommended dept and do an over winter stratification.
