The one guy says knockout roses generally get 3' tall to 3' feet and then the rosarian comes along with what appears to be a 5'x5' knockout rose. Love it lol because he also says don't believe what you've been told about roses. Because I've learned plants do what they want especially when happy.
What a tribute to one of the most beautiful flowers on Earth! I love roses and I don't mind the "maintenance" behind keeping them looking their absolute best. My collection grows every year and I seem to have taken a special liking to climbers....Lady Banks, Tess d'Uberville, and the Generous Gardener to name a few.
I am in Wisconsin and have not had any luck with roses. I would like long stem bushes, is there a variety that would survive Wisconsin? Also, we have sandy soil, how should the soil be prepared?
Really appreciate this video, thank you for the tutorial on roses, what's the safest methods of getting rid of Japanese beetle on Rose's, love the beautiful salad😋😋 thanks again for beautiful tour. Happy and healthy gardening ❤
Thank you good info ! My knockouts do great , it's the other roses I seem to have a little trouble with . I don't spray chemicals , do you recommend a natural safe spray to apply to roses . ?
Love your post but i wish that after you call things by their true names, i would like you to give us the name that we uninformed know them by. Thank you
How could anyone say roses are fussy? If you ignore them, you’ll still have flowers. If you’re rough with them, you’ll have even more flowers. If you fuss over them and spoil them, they reward your zealous attention. Try that with a true fussy flower, like orchids or succulents.
I have no idea why people like Knock Out ! No scent, unremarkable flowers and a sparse unattractive bush! I got talked into them and pulled them all up later, there are so many much much better roses!
Why do you have that big oval saying "P. Allen Smith's GARDEN HOME" blocking all the lovely gardens you have helped design, we can't see them!!! Because that BIG sign blocks the view. How disheartening, we don't want to see a big advertising sign that's just boring, we want to see the lovely gardens, it's so frustrating we can't even click it away or see thru it. Whose idea was this to block a gardeners view of beautiful gardens???? and to put it right in the middle where the features are behind it!!! Sad.
