Mushrooms did wonders in my life. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder years after i lost my dad. Got addicted to alcohol. Spent my whole life fighting alcohol addiction. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 6 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.
Psilocybin is so misunderstood and underrated in the psychiatric world. So glad your wife introduced this healing g modality to you! Thanks for talking about this.
Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Germany don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped you. I can't wait to get them too. Really need a reliable source 🙏
YES very sure of Dr.alishrooms. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
Ive done shrooms last month. It taught me how severely traumatized I was from alcohol. I healed from many mental traumas from my past and was able to forgive, let go. Shrooms to me is a natrual healer. I even felt more refreshed the morning after. So no hangovers. No depression mood for days. No anxiety. I now have a more calm mind.
Magic mushrooms. Best shrooms I’ve ever had! Had some amazing trips when I first started taking them. Now I micro dose every few days before work and it has literally changed my life completely for the better.
Psilocybin mushrooms healed me. I can't explain it but my experience has been spiritual and eye opening. I also started micro dosing. It really helped me get rid of depression and anxiety.
My god my first experience on 2.5g was spiritual fr. I didn't panic nor had a bad trip, but I couldn't stop laughing (although I could control myself) I fucking hugged a tree and saw the soul of the sea 😭😭 seeing my own face was actually not terrifying and I didn't saw breathing faces, however everything around me had numbers, shapes, and patterns.. it was so beautiful. My mood changed I don't feel like smoking weed ak that much since I actually feel like I've healed. I feel the need to do something with my life (which is weird cause I have adhd) finally, I'm about to get a second job and finally get my drivers id.. everything is lit positivity now ^^ the best way I can describe the trip was literally resurrection ngl. Died and came back like a Phoenix (not literally but it literally felt like my soul bloomed) felt Hella emphatic and started hugging trees and to felt the floor. Def a wonderful experience
@lisakelly316 no, id def recomend you go with someone who's sober at the time but has experience with the substance. I had a tripsitter which played music that had me going into the 4th dimension, lmao. Although id prolly be fine on my own, its important to be surrounded by chill people. Or a small group of friends if u have social anxiety-
Just so you know this tek won’t get you anywhere. You have to get more advanced to really see fruits. Do some real research it’s not worth wasting money because you watched a 2 minute video
Haven’t even purchased a magic bag yet but it’s everything I’ve ever wanted and I CANT WAIT to get my hands on one. I’ve been on the Magic Bag websites for weeks and just realized y’all have a RU-vid channel! I love y’all! ❤
I brought two of them, one is about to be open for the fruiting conditions and the other one I had to put in the trash, but that was completely my fault, but I also know I'll be using a default company, I didn't like how they send it, hippie tape one top of the bag and magic bag written on the said of bax.
This is literally the most simple video and and the best and easiest one to understand. Other people literally post vids with the same title then make it somehow to be the hardest thing in the world. Then some people skip steps and I just don’t understand but thank you for the vid. It helped clear some questions I had!
Just so you know man this vid won’t help you much. This is the most extremely extremely basic version of the process. It doesn’t really explain it well enough that you’ll get fruits unless you get pretty lucky. There are a whole plethora of factors that go in to fruiting mushrooms and it takes a lot more understanding than this video provides.
@@micahcary9024 yea I’ve learned that eventually. A lot of these people on RU-vid don’t actually tell you how much work you need to put to dial in your tubs. They make it sound like it’s as easy as doing whatever they show in their videos and that’s it. Which is absolutely ok I like this stuff I’ve become very interested in this over the past few months and since I’ve been having some trouble with some things it’s only peeked my interest in learning more. I believe these people on RU-vid solely only make it sound easy either to get new people into the hobby or just for sales of their product.
You hit the nail on the head in regards to our philosophy. We think mushroom growing can be simple. There's lots of mycology jargon that folks use that keep newbies confused. Of course, there's more advanced mycology techniques one can get into, but in general, we think it's pretty easy to grow your own mushrooms with our Magic Bags. 🙂
@@magicbagmushrooms Yes, once you have gone through the process on your own you’ll start to learn from mistake that may have been made. Certain parts of your home could be a better grow area like some rooms in my home. I never understood why truly though I have a feeling it may the room not getting enough fresh air and ventilation. Anyways since I first posted this a year ago I’ve become great at growing my mushrooms and have started expanding to different types of mushrooms like lions mane. Lions mane is definitely a lot more tricky though in terms of knowing how much to mist and fan. I always get a great frost flush but then my 2nd and 3rd for some reason just doesn’t spruce out like the 1st harvest. My 2nd harvest always grows in very small tiny patches at a time. My first flush is always one giant bunch with very healthy looking mushrooms. If you have any experience growing lions mane I’d love to hear some advice/suggestions
First time grower here. There's something very satisfying about doing that break n shake. You know something good is coming! I received 2 bags and a syringe of Liquid Culture 3 weeks ago. Just did the break n shake on one bag today. The other bag is growing slower, but very healthy looking. I think I got more spore material in the first bag just due to the way the spores were suspended in the syringe liquid. All good though.
We’re did you get your liquid culture? I have been doing spores with grain and hear liquid culture is better ? N e tips I got two bags going tomorrow will be one week , no signs of n e thing yet , I hopes that’s a good thing 😅
@@lenakennedy5365 There are several online retailers for Liquid Culture. Google it. Liquid Culture is not necessarily "better". Reportedly it's easier to use for beginners. You are going to have to learn a lot of patience with mushroom growing. Might easily be 3 months from initial innoculation to harvest.
Yes, our bags our designed to be able to harvest (fruit) in the bag. Fruiting them in the bag is a great option and limits chances of contamination. You will get a bit more yield transferring to a monotub but most customers find the ease of keeping them in the bag to be well worth it.
I just purchased the bag as well as some culture stuff yesterday. I am completely new at this. Is it really as simple as the video shows? Also I'm not 100% sure how I'm supposed to store it I don't have an incubation chamber or anything lol.
I'd do a few bags to be safe don't forget the mushrooms lose about 90% of its weight when fully dried, that flush will probably be good for 2-3 folks. Definitely a must try for beginners this is like a full dumb proof way to fruit mushrooms as long as the environment is proper 70°f-75°f & dnt contaminate it when opening to mist.... you can't fail with this jus be sure to get good "sterile" spore samples.
@@loadapish I think all other psilocybin mushrooms much harder to grow. They probably need more fae than cubes so they might not work with the bag method
I was able to get more mushrooms by taking a knife and cutting the bag in half length-wise after the first harvest. The size and number actually increased after that
@@thatbluemiata_01 you can buy a clear tub and put perlite at the bottom to retain humidity, then put aluminum foil all across the bottom on top of the perlite and place your mycelium cake on the top of the foil, mist the tub and voila after a week and a bit ready to harvest
I've grown 'shrooms twice before. Once in the late 70's using the McKenna brothers book and then once in the mid 80's using the REVISED McKenna brothers book. This is waaaaaaayyyyyy better. I highly recommend MagicBag/Myyco. If you're just gonna grow for yourself and a few friends, this is BY FAR your best option.
@@Retainedvitality i’m assuming you mean legal mushrooms😂. But liquid culture will inoculate quicker (meaning less time spent waiting for them to actually grow)
We used to recommend waiting until half of the entire bag was covered before breaking up the mycelium, but we now recommend only 30% of the GRAIN layer being covered, which is what the video shows. Let us know if you have any other questions.
@@magicbagmushrooms hi! I did the break and shake, weeks later it is covered in mycelium except for the bottom, it's been a month, what percentage has to be covered after the break and shake to induce fruiting? Any tips I would greatly appreciate! Thank you! And much love!

Why this guide not in the first page in RU-vid for growing mushrooms??? This vid full of detail and So simple I will let the bag open in this day but I'm not brave enough 🤣🤣 I will try. thank for vid 👍👍
I ordered mine and have received it on June 2 I’m almost at a week. out of 3/4 weeks 🎉 everything looks great ! I got my spores at sporeworks and got penis envy . I’ll check back in in two weeks and intend they come out perfect !!!
Question….. my bag is not completely white like yours but I have a couple mushrooms tops are starting to get brown mushroom head(just slightly as in the tip of the mushrooms). Should I start cutting the bag at the top or should I wait a few more days for the bag to turn completely white before I cut the top of the bag open?
I just order my bag and the liquid culture. I got scammed out of 130$, when I tried to buy some mushrooms off Instagram . I didn’t kw abt this at the time. But I’m glad u can do this indoor cause I’m in a condo and I don’t have a patio. I’m Looking forward to trying this.
@@dime6941 one of the bags had a contamination and turned orange so that was done and threw it away, the other one is fine, getting the white mycelium growing, looks like heads are starting to form, so far so good
@@therealbrosofsimivalleycli2684 second bag has drastically slowed down but no sign of contamination, most likely cause my room is cold as fuck always. Going good but slowly
I start off with the bags and then transfer them over to a tub after I think they're ready. Given the opportunity mushrooms will sprout from the sides and bottom as well.
Yeah, "side-pinning" they call that. A tub is a sure way to avoid that but we've recently started including a rubberband with each bag. We have the customers place it around the top of the substrate block when it's about to start sprouting mushrooms and it makes sure the mushrooms grow upwards, preventing side-pinning. 🙂
Spore syringes are a shot in the dark. I stated with them myself, inoculated 2 magic bags and 2 straight grain bags. Out of the 4 of them 2 contaminated and 1 is looking a little bacterial. I've started working with agar 1st to weed out the bacteria. check out boomer shroomer and philly golden teachers videos if you want to learn more.
@@mikekrodose123 the bag. I was looking online they sell the bag but then I need to buy spores rite? Where do you get your bag and what place is good for spores?
We're here! We have some more videos planned for the coming months. Sorry, we don't get on here much-busy making bags and doing customer support through our email support line but we want to engage on RU-vid more this year. Drop us a line if you ever have any questions. support@magicbag.co. Cheers. 🙂

@@magicbagmushrooms 3 days ago my bag was at about 50% colonized with myce, so I did the shake and break. My question is, when would it be a good time to transfer to a monotub?
Out of TEN magic bags started at the same time, only 2 are near the cutting open stage; none of the others have have mycelium growing. I used 5 different strains, so who's to say where I went wrong, or if I had a bad bag. edit: 9 months later, and magic bag is working great!!! I've learned a lot this year :) Magic Bag has really become my goto
@@southernlilacs that's a bummer... my original post was as a TOTAL noob, and I made mistakes! Make sure the bags are in a room with decent higher humidity, they should have air flow (not stuffed in a box under the bed, my mistake). hopefully you did a great job of sterilizing everything, esp the bag and needle. my latest round of magic bags is much better than last time!! every bag showing activity within 2 weeks (using isolate).
@Tom-in6fk I'm new to this stuff for sure. I put them in the top shelf of a closet. So maybe there wasn't enough humidity or air flow. This is harder than I thought it would be 😆
Ordered mine about a week ago! Just came in today I thought it would take longer, but it came just like this bag I’ll let y’all know the result!!(put the spores in today)
Where are the best places to put my bag while waiting on mycelium growth? Can I put the bags themselves in say a tub? My last batch became contaminated when after I followed the instructions and put them in my closet
Two things I noticed that are different than the instructions I got with two bags. One is rather than 2 to 3 weeks after it's mixed up, the instructions say 3 to 6 weeks after mixing. And there are rubber bands to put around the bag an inch below the soil top line to keep the growth from creeping down the sides. Also to wash your hands thoroughly or wear gloves when handling the bag to mix it up to avoid an contamination. But thankyou for the video. It was helpful to get confidence that I was understanding this correctly.
@@Will-Max In 74 degree closet in house, it looks like both of my bags got fully covered wity mycelium in 4 weeks. Today I removed the bags and did the cuts and folds and moved to a well lit area (although does well lit define direct sun or simply a room with sunlight in it?
@@marcshields3677 As of about 7 days ago I decided they were coated enough both bags and I took them out of the closet and now they are in the light and I'm doing the spray of water once per day. No shroom growth yet.
Great video, a little fast paced and some narration and explanation would help newcomers like me. But helpful nonetheless. Thanks - my first MagicBag should be here in two days and I can hardly stand the wait!
After 16 days one of my two bags seems ready and the other is not. It's on a 75 degree heat pad. One side of pad seems warmer so I just rotated and will wait some more time. Room is cold aside from the heat pad, maybe 80 degrees is more ideal for my situation.
After you start colonizing and you see pens do you still keep it in 75 to 80 degrees are you as it starts to fruit? Or do you keep it out of the heat and cracked the bag? Or do you keep it in the same seventy-five to eighty degrees heat in the halfway open the bag? I'm very confused about temperature now that my bag is fully colonized and I'm starting to cpn's I'm stuck not knowing what to do temperature-wise so I will not miss up fruity can somebody please???
Heating pads can dry out the bag and prevent growth by sucking the moisture out. You'd need a space heater or maybe cookie racks between the heating mat and the bag. I was warned off heating mats immediately from a friend who does this professionally, and they dry out all the inherent humidity that's supposed to be in there for the myc to grow
Yes it is possible it’s not like after one harvest all the mushroom spore stuff just disappears. I mean after you completed your first harvest just keep repeating misting the magic bag and boom more shrooms 😎
You can take a single harvested mushroom and put it in an agar dish ti create genetic isolation as well as continue the process of growing the same strain of mushrooms without purchasing more spore prints or solution.
@magicbagmushrooms 3 days ago my bag was at about 50% colonized with myce, so I did the shake and break. My question is, when would it be a good time to transfer to a monotub?
Once the block starts to bear fruit it seems the risk of infection declines or at least sterile technique seems diminished. If so, how much contamination risk is there at that point ie. fruiting?
Yep. You nailed it. The risk of contamination goes down once the bag is fruiting. The most vulnerable point for contamination is before the mycelium has fully established itself on the substrate and spread throughout the bag. Think of it kinda like a contest-there's a bunch of different microbes that are competing for the food (the substrate). Once the mycelium "wins" against the other ones and covers the bag, it's fortified against any other microbe competitors and can better fend off other microbes.
Hi Brittney. As a commenter mentioned above, Magic Bags are definitely easier to grow in then tanks or tubs. You will still get a healthy yield of 2 to 3 ounces of dried mushrooms with our bags, but if you're looking to do a big operation, tubs can increase your yield.
Is it normal for mycelium of medicinal fungi to start spreading into the soil part of the bag, even before mashing everything together? It's covering about a third of the grain, but a little bit of the upper edge of growth has stretched about a half inch into the soil. Will that sometimes happen, or am I contaminated? The all white mycelium started at the bottom of the bag, as well as in the front, and has (very, very, very) slowly spread upward over the course of many days. In fact, it actually took almost a month for any growths to appear at all. Should I be concerned?
That's not supposed to happen. The spores are still trying to colonize the grain so mixing them with substrate just messes with the growth cycle...that's like switching seedlings(cannabis for example) of any plant species into fruiting stage...makes no sense...the seedlings have to mature first into adult ish plants before earning their stripes...have you ever seen a caterpillar turn into a butterfly without going through half a branch of delicious leaves? No, it must consume food first. Same with mycelium. it took months because you flipped the grow schedule on them. The first time you mix your grain the mycelium should take up like 10% of the grain..then a week or two later check again, hopefully your mycelium clumps into balls as these will expedite the process when broken up. Keep in mind every little speck of mycelium will grow out in all directions and clump up so don't wait for one side to colonize...the more you mix mycelium up in the grain the faster the web spreads. Keep doing this until the grain -NOT SUBSTRATE- is 100% caked up in mycelium NOT any time sooner...a 5lb bag of grain shouldn't take more than like 4-6 weeks to fully colonize AFTER the first spores germinate so an all in one grow bag 100% should NOT take months for the grain to be devoured.
@ScopeKing1994 hi, you seem to know a lot about how to make these bags work for beginners. What is the best way to mix the grain without mixing the substrate into it
Are there specific ways to keep the bag warm in a cooler climate? We are in mid spring here in CO and Im not sure I will be able to keep the house above 70 for weeks at a time
Hi Philip. There are heating pads you can buy which can help. That said, it's fine if your house dips in temperature a bit during the night, but growth will probably be much slower, so be patient (may take 2 to 3 times longer).
on amazon there are seedling heating mats with temperature probes set the desired temp around 24C but make sure the mat is not physically touching spawn bags, just near it so it heats the surrounding air
I’m at the step after breaking the mycelium up and it’s been about a week and my bag is all white but there is no pinning like shown in the video like when you cut open the bag . Do I cut the bag open or should I wait for pinning?
You're good to go ahead and cut the top of the bag open! Keep it in indirect sunlight and mist with a few sprays of clean water every other day or so and that baby will start to produce some mushies within a few weeks. Let us know if any other questions come up. :)
I consider psilocybin mushrooms a gift from God. I always get mine from a professional mycologist who grows them and he has spores and will guide you on how to microdose best. Look them up at 👉👉
I can't get passed the cutting open the bag and clipping half of the top part. I've done this twice now with almost a fully white bag of mycelium, which is after mixing it with the soil. I'll cut the bag and bring it into a well lit area, even mist it once or twice. The soil just seems to have gotten pretty hard and nothing happens. Any suggestions?
I get my from an online store his got shroom, psychedelic and microdosing products well refined also ships to anywhere discreetly, can also guide you on anything.
The directions say to break and mix the mycelium once half the bag is covered but the video shows you took that step far before. I have 2 bags that I waited for half coverage before mixing and things seem fine so far but I am wondering if it was necessary to wait those extra 2-4 weeks before mixing. Thanks, great video!
Go ahead and break and shake those babies. We used to recommend waiting until half of the entire bag was covered before breaking up the mycelium, but we now recommend only 30% of the GRAIN layer being covered, which is what the video shows. Let us know if you have any other questions.
If the needle comes pre packaged it's already sterile. But its a good idea to flame sterilize it and squirt a few drops before use. Either way spore syringes to bags isn't the best way to go. Very high rate of contamination. Check out philly golden teachers videos if you want to learn some better methods.
Not really, if you wait until after your mycelium has fully colonized the block then no. If it is not then the mycelium may be too weak to fight off contamination.
Once the mycelium is fully colonized it’s strong enough to fight off most infections. You still want to wash your hands and the area you’re working with before opening the bag.
I have a bunch of clone samples can I just sterilize everything and then extract the sample and place in the bag and it will start to grow ( I was just given a bunch of samples and I’m not really sure what to do)
Fun fact, you can store spores in refrigeration. Use what you need and save the rest for another grow. Take a spore print from your harvest and make your own spore syringe.
