I was streaming rust today with 0 views but then a guy watched my stream and told me im doing realy good he didnt stay long he had to go to school but that little communication made me realy happy and after that first time someone followed and talked to me 4 other people also came after like 10 minutes since my first viewer watched my stream and they all followed me this made me realy happy and makes me wanna continu streaming
im still a beginner with 10-12 viewers on average but when a viewer sent me a compilation video (rly rly good editing skillz btw) he made for me from my own clips on twitch.....i cannot describe the feeling with words.... :')
I remember one of my streams was me playing fortnite. This kid wanted to join me and I let him. He was really cool and it made me smile when he got excited and said “ I can’t believe I’m playing with a live-streamer” made my day 😁

i average 3-7 viewers and sometimes 10-12 playing an older call of duty game and i’ve gotten 57 followers in 7 days playing it .. yesterday had such a good opportunity to be streaming the game while a dude with 1.5 million followers was doing a throwback stream and i was the second most viewed underneath him and i had 125 viewers and i got over 20 follows!! i was almost crying with excitement then later on that night i got hosted by 2 people and had 32 viewers and a few more follows. it brought my concurrent average viewers from 1.5 to 2.6.. im one week into streaming and i’m soo close to affiliate status already + i cant wait to start using your tips man you’ve earned yourself a loyal subscriber !
I can't agree more about "Stop Being Boring." It's hard to be entertaining, and I can't say you can always talk and always be "on," but I can't tell you how many people say during streams, "I like your voice," or "I find you hilarious." If I'm looking for other people to watch, the most of the time, the more energetic, engaged, and solid speakers get more of my watch time when I'm not streaming. Twitch is entertainment, and people are taking time out of their days for that streamer. That is what I find super important. Thank you so much for this video Wild! 2019 Growth HO!

Since then, I started twitch and just in the last couple days, because of the clean advice you’d been sharing, I’ve already gotten 3 followers and 5 regulars that come in just to hang out! Thank you for the little reminder! I've been streaming for a little over 3 years on and off on twitch and at one point i was getting really good success out of it pulling 40-50 viewers every stream. But I was really inconsistent and let my channel die :( I've recently started again and I've noticed i can go quiet from time to time or I just don't act as weird or funny as I used to. That, i think,is half of the problem. so again, I thank you for the reminder :D
I'm gonna take the advice you laid out in the video and apply that to my streaming. I have currently 17 followers on Twitch. Like 5 subs on RU-vid. I'll come back here in exactly one year to see if that advice helps in any way to kick start my Twitch.

After I fixed some of the things you told me to look at and I fixed them, people started sticking around longer in my channel. Of course I still need to improve, but it's a marathon, not a sprint.

Since I have started watching your channel I completely re-branded my entire stream and changed my entire game plan on how to run my stream. At the time I only had 3 followers I've gained 2 followers, and my channel views went up from 10 people to 117! In less than a few weeks. Crazy! Your channel has helped me and I have yet to even stream on a schedule because of my job. I also went to work and told them I want a set schedule and now, I have the ability to start streaming on a schedule. Sun, Tues, and Thurs. And I'm not posting my stream name or times simply because I'm not a mooch and want people to find me just based on my streaming ability. Once again THANK YOU SO MUCH! Keep up the great content!
Thanks for this video, I may be year late but it really opened my eyes. Back when I first started streaming I was doing amazing and was on track to being one of the biggest streamers on xbox. Unfortunately for job reasons I couldn't stream for 3 months and when I came back my audience was gone and I couldn't figure out why. I stopped being energetic, I stopped posting media every where and i'm not as talkative now. Hopefully I can flip this around because of your video. Thank you.
so i just got my sub button and 1 day after some random guy came into my chat and discussed the state of WoW for about 2 hours. In the end i thanked him for staying with me that long and all of a sudden he dropped my first sub that i dont personally know :)
I know that feel, even when there's just one viewer I'm super happy to chat with him or her, but with the latency it makes it hard to engage on time. I'd love to hear what you think on my channel thus far, I know there are things to fix but would love to hear from you!

I used to binge watch these tips on how to grow on twitch videos of yours, and they've helped a lot. I have now been streaming for around 3 months, and i reached close to 600 followers and average around 20+ viewers. For some weird reason people don't chat, they would most likely lurk. I think it is because they are afraid to "offend" me and ask "stupid" questions even though I told them to ask anything, and there is no such thing as a stupid question. People like to watch my stream because i inspire them, because i'm a disabled gamer, and they find that interesting. I made a follower goal saying that when i reach 1000 followers, my friend and i will do the Ghost Chilli challenge and upload it to RU-vid, because it's against Twitch TOS. Tip to people, make goals and show them to your viewers. That will inspire them to help you reach that goal.

I put ttv infront of my name in CSGO and a guy from the game followed me and actually came back to the stream 3 days later when I stream I tried to talk to him and be friendly and it worked he just come consistently (though only for 30min-40min) I always say welcome back to old viewers and welcome to new viewers Thank you for all the tips
Ur videos are a huge help. I average around 20 viewers now from where i started at 3-5 5 months back. My discord has grown and always active. 2018 was some amazing growth and 2019 will be better!
Hey Wild, I just wanted to thank you for your videos and what you do for the community. We are dual streamers actually and we followed some advice of yours from last year and just decided to start going! Last November was our first stream and we are now sitting at over 200 followers which has been such an amazing and surprising experience. Another good video man. You are so smart to make a series like this given how popular twitch is right now. My streams have been going very well the last few months, but I am struggling to really find the unique aspects of my stream that make me different from just the next person.
Your advice is legit, and straight forward. You have helped shape my channel. I wanna be a full time gamer/streamer. It's clear to me the grind I need to put into it. But as a stream coach do you see a correlation between like pro players stream content being entertaining, and just an awesome streamer who's fun to watch, and the difference of growth? Or I'm just focused on the wrong thing lol
Anyone or any group can be successful its all about how you unquiet you can make you content. So focus on making it unique... do that and the rest will fall into place
Great advice overall! I think the most important one is to 'diversify' Growing solely on Twitch takes an insane amount of time and effort for little return. Creating lasting content on other platforms and then funneling that audience to your stream is usually a better use of your time! This is by far the most important tip, and I am saying this as someone who used to stream 150 hrs/month 💀
Boy I've been streaming on and off (the past couple of months a lot more on consistently) for at least 4 years and I only have 44 follows as of this writing. I don't make a thin dime but I enjoy the hell out of doing this. I won't ever quit and I damn sure know I will grow in popularity at some point.
V Seraph wild4games is basically saying not to focus on the money aspect and just try to build your channel. But also most people don’t get that much extra a month :/

That’s impressive. I got lucky in that I intended to start my twitch life playing the newest Monster Hunter game, which is nowhere near the top 10 but still has a following. Tonight is a me night, and I will be delving into the realm of Pokémon let’s go pikachu, but I don’t expect that I will have many viewers because of the thousands of others streaming these games. But you know what? It’ll be fun anyway
Wild4Games, thanks for this one! I've only recently (3 weeks ago) decided to start streaming after thinking about it for years. I know it's going to take work and I'm ok with that as I'm not the type of person that wants things handed to me. Overall I have fun streaming and try to chat as often as possible with the few viewers I have. They usually stick around for the most part which I really appreciate, even if they aren't all that chatty for the time being. I'm really glad I came across your channel, it's been helpful! I know there are tons of folks out there that stream gaming only, and that'll most likely be me as well (for now at least). I've been pre-alpha testing a game that hopefully will lift their NDA soon. Hopefully it's a game that will really take off, there's a good amount of hype around it. Their discord has exploded with new users in the last 6 months or so. 95k added in that time if I'm not mistaken. There's a decent amount of folks that stream in the community, but I don't think there will be THAT much of competition off the bat. I'm not banking on this being my breakout opportunity, but hopeful it will help. Anyway, I wanted to say thanks again for your videos and help. I started streaming last year and made affiliate in 7 days with over 100 followers, then I took a break because I didn't know what kinda games and content I wanted to do. I'm good in survival games and I make my own music. I'm trying to find a way to incorporate them all to make it real interesing! Any tips on returning to twitch?
Reaching out on social media to people that follow you is the best so they know you are back and know to tune in. Other than that just start streaming again and grind!
These are some excellent tips! Recently started trying streaming again have 13 followers (mostly friends) Just been playing games I like in the hope that my enjoyment of the games will bring people in. Started seriously again on Saturday will try and remember to come back and update on the progress!
I started in a pit to be honest. My friends never thought any good of me streaming and they kinda made fun of me. My social media doesn’t seem to be any help to be honest and I didn’t have family support either. But with a lot of grinding I’m starting to do better. In 1 week I’ve streamed over 30 hours. Might sound excessive but it’s so worth it. In that week I was keeping track of how many followers I got every day. I didn’t get any for the first 5 days. But then I got hope. I had gotten 4 followers in the sixth day and 5 the next. I’m now averaging 1-2 viewers every stream with spikes of up to 6 or 7 viewers at a time. Even if you’re not doing so great just keep going. And the entire time I was streaming a saturated game so I don’t personally say it matters what game you play.

I am currently just building my stream and I am quite happy with how things are going so far! It's exciting to mingle with new people in my chat! I can not wait to increase my viewership and create better content!
So there is a way to grow from just "playing a game" 1) Play a smaller game on Twitch (so no Fortnite, something like Mario maker) 2) Study the directory, see where there is gaps of content (meaning a big streamer and try streaming when they don't) 3) If you have nothing to talk about, talk about the game and what your doing 4) If talking about the game doesn't help, talk about your plans for your channel, people love when streamers share ideas
OmegaByte You can play the game you love yes, but my advice is for “growth”. Also keep in mind this can work in ANY directory or game, it just works a lot better when you do it in a smaller directory like “Mario Maker” for example

I can help chip in here as I had a burst of experience from Steep and OnRush. Games that are on Games with Gold and PS Plus are fantastic to stream when they are up for their users. People will be wanting to see what the game is like before they commit that time downloading. In doing this, I was at top of the directory for Steep (During a free weekend) and OnRush last month. If you can run a good stream with interactivity and all the advice here, you'd get somewhere. Good luck

I tried something new for my 100 follower special, turned out to be a huge success, records all around. 300 views total, 29 people watching max with 17 on average, and 22 new followers in one stream. My point? Try mixing things up, you might stumble into gold.

I stream on twitch, I'm still a small streamer I just started a few months ago, I can't describe the feeling when your viewers come to your channel and stay to communicate with you.
