for girls with straight silky hair it's so much easier to grow there hair out trust me if you have curly hair it's way way harder! i mean like with stop using heat and stuff like that
why? I have straight hair and I loooove curly hair but I don't use heat anyway. I like my hair much better curly. why would it be harder for people with curly hair than people with straight hair? I mean, if you manage to stay away from heat, it has more to do with your personality? :) (sorry for my bad english I'm from Sweden)

I haven't washed my hair in almost 2 weeks but used conditioner almost every day so my hair won't get a smell. I know people will be grossed out by this but because of the conditioner my hair still smells good. My hair has never been this healthy it's unbelievable, it's thick ,so soft and radiant. I had such damaged hair due to dying my hair and bleaching it and it left me with almost no more hair left as I could literally pull it out. Giving your hair a break from shampoo , heat, hair dye and bleaching for a long period and cutting bit by bit off the damaged hair will make it better. Just be patient. I had to live with really short hair as well ,while I used to have such long hair but I can see my hair growing again :)
This actually helps I've died my hair a lot before and same I could literally pull my hair out with like a tiny tug and I tried not washing my hair but conditioning my hair for about a week and a half and my hair feels sssssoooooooooooo much healthier
I had like really long bangs so I decided to get it shorter so I could have it as straight across bangs, and I went to the haircut shop today and the lady cut my hair super short, LIKE super, and now i'm stressed out, and I've been crying for the past 20 minutes ;( God i hate that lady .-.
When I was little I prayed for thin, pin straight hair because I absolutely hated having super thick, dark curly hair. I inherited my mothers Cuban genes & always hated the thick thick eyebrows, body hair, etc. and being short on the curvy side... As I got older I straightened my hair almost every day. I hated getting complemented on having thick hair for some dumb reason. My hair is getting a lot thicker at the moment but my hair got so much thinner and lost its curl. I barely have any wave now (although it is making progress) nowadays it is about being curvy, thick eyebrows, thick natural hair, and all that jazz. Now all I can say is: Be careful what you wish for- you just might get it :/
I wash my hair about every 5 days! It's so nice not having to wash it every day since if you look at my channel you'll see my hair is super think and long. So washing it and drying and styling it is sooooo time consuming!
Jeneen Ijawi i mean for some people its nasty but atleast i think is 3 days without washing because it makes your hair healthier and if you wash it every day it could die or get damaged or w.e.
KeyAna Calderon see I had this problem to them someone gave me a great tip. I only wash my hair with shampoo every 3-4 days. At first it was really greasy but then my hair got used to it. On the days I don't shampoo I use a conditioner to "wash" my hair. It takes away the greasing and leaves it very soft. By washing hair everyday you are making it greasy.

I wash my hair every 6th day because then my hair is super super greasy ahah I often use coconut oil in my hair before washing my hair, I grew my hair super super fast and my hair still grows fast and is now down to my butt
Alba Pérez wash it less and use a littlebit of oil on you ends before washing. Use a mild shampoo(thats meant for everyday use), since it's meant to be used on daily basis the formula is much less damaging on your hair. Never use harsh shampoos like dandruff shampoo or shampoo, cause it has harsh chemicals in it. You still should take care of your scalp by treating it with natural at home remedy like green tea. try not to wash your hair with warm water, cause it opens the hair shaft and your hair loses moisture much faster. always condition your hair after you strip any moisture from your hair(like after shampooing). Things like sunlight and cold weather can damage your hair so you need to protect it either with special hair products meant (try avoiding silicones and parabens, look for good oils in the product) or just put a little drop of olive oil on your hair after washing while it's wet
For split ends I use conditioner also I wash my hair at the top ( scalp) with shampoo and at the bodem with conditioner. I don't use shampoo at the bodem of my hair because when you use it at the bodem you get really fast dry ends. I use a lush hard shampoo that makes your hair grow and I have noticed I difference with the length of my hair. This might not work for everyone but it works really well for me
Everyone is in the comments crying about cutting heir hair and here I am chopping off a foot of hair every 2 years. Sure I liked long hair and I was upset when it got cut but then it was so much more convenient (especially at the beach). When you get your hair chopped off, it feels like a load is taken off your head :). I have NO REGRETS in cutting off large sections of hair.

Well for healthy hair and hair grow I would suggest it try using *argan rain*. I use it all the time and it does aid in growing your hair faster. I'd say massage it into your scalp so it can get to your roots well this increases the blood flow helping it grow faster. When shampooing and conditioning you should use cold or luke warm water on your hair so it won't damage it. Even hot water hurts your hair.You should drink plenty of water to help condition your hair.
Jessi Juarez No any product that says coconut milk or you can use organic coconut oil and rub it on your scalp and ends of your hair its like 10 bucks for the medium one and it has multiple uses so its totally worth it
+Trinity bvb Sorry for the super late reply but if its coconut milk you can leave it in. If it coconut oil apply a generous amout leave it on overnight and wash it out in the am
Well trimming it ever so often actually helps it grow longer because of the split ends (which really slows down hair growth). That's the only reason I could think of.
Melanie Phouthavong I think it depends on if you have dyed your hair or not. like, I've dyed my hair twice, I tried washing it everyday and it was not bad but quite dry. last year before June, my hair was under my butt and wasn't dyed yet, I washed my hair everyday at that time. and it was silky. but now I've dyed it, so it's not that silky anymore
I've been using argan life anti hair loss shampoo with %100 Pure argan oil as directed for a month. I can see new growth evidence, I will continue to use these products, because they make my hair feel amazing in both texture and shine! I do feel that the hair falling out has lessened greatly.
Anti-dandruff shampoo is actually not good for your hair or scalp, and head&shoulders is one of the worst once. I usually only wash my hair once a week with a very gentle shampoo, but I co-wash at least every other day.
If you have curly hair then you probably understand my issue because if I don't brush my hair when it's wet or else I'll have BIGGER tangles nd it's gets like an Afro with lots of tangles any tips
I brush my hair before I have a shower. throughout the day I also just run my fingers through the underside of my hair because that gets really knotty throughout the day.

angie bittinger if u don't get hair cuts it should take about a year or so. If u wanna grow it fast avoid hair trims (unless ur hair is dead or u have split ends) because they don't help hair grow faster

When you put olive oil in your hair use dish soap (preferably dawn) And it will get all of the oil out. Just leave the oil in for about 2 hours to make it super soap!

I think for number 4 towel drying your hair carefully not only prevents tangles, but also helps prevent frizz and friction because rubbing your hair can cause it to break off easier.

Do you get it trimed often because that could be the reason why. Alot of times when people get trims on a regular basis they dont even need it or the person would cut to much. Its been like 7 months since i got my hair trim and i am starting to notice little split ends on SOME of my hair. I recommend just thoroughly looking through your hair every 2-4 weeks and if you see split ends, and cut the piece of hair with it instead of all of it. Also dont let stylist trim your hair because 9/10 they will cut to much of
I have heard that every person has their own maximal length at hair. That mean your scale can`t take higher weigth or something. haha. sound so weird, but a hairdresser ones told me this. :)
Try coating your hair in safflower oil or olive oil and leave that in for an hour and then rinse and flip your hair upside down for 4 minutes while the oil is in it.
Everyone's hair is different, I think your hair is in the middle stage, my advice is that you're probably cutting your hair to soon, so only cut it every 5 or 4 months.

Washing your hair too often damages it. I wash mine about every 1 week and its still up to my waist; I cut it last year by the shoulder area and I cut it again 3 months ago about 4 inches from my waist. It actually grows pretty quickly. But these tips are very useful I definitely agree with some of these.
Omg dont say it i have wavy hair type but my hair is the dry type .. So add those together and i have an afro .. But what i think cuz i tried it before i like to take cold shower and i wash my hair with cold water too and brush it while its a little bet dry or wet and it went well
