Dun Pea, also known as field pea, has a relatively unique sweet taste. The shoot is tender and succulent with very small tendrils, making it suitable for juicing. Makes a great garnish or addition to any salad. Also acts as a suitable substitute for lettuce.

I am really looking forward to the business videos. the reason I subbed was that promise from your first video, but still learning something from the how to grow vids too. there are a million videos on YT about how to grow, but none on the business aspects of trying to start my business.

I have been growing some Dun Peas but my yields are half of what is shown in this video (four 2 oz clamshells vs his four 4 oz). I am using the Ocean magic nutrients as well. Practice, practice, practice I guess.

One of the best videos I have seen. One minor thing, shouldn't your 112 g of weight be 113.4 g? 28.35 g = 1 oz 4x28.35 = 113.4.

just stick em under the light and let em grow. i let them germinate for like 2 days, as soon as you see those elbows stick out like an inch, i throw them under the light 24/7 and they do just fine

So many videos we want to make! This is definitely one that a few people have asked for and we will be prioritizing. We have a backlog of about 10+ videos that are complete, however waiting to be edited. We'll see if we can squeeze this one through faster 🥰

What is the length of the plants when they come out of black out?
@puntabachata
@puntabachata 2 года назад
So glad you clarified at 5:15 to water enough to make it thru germination and blackout. I saw a video from On the Grow "experts" where they were pulling out the tray, lifting off the stone, misting, putting the stone back on and replacing the stone TWICE A DAY during germination. It was so chinge by the third day I had to stop the video ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D3vnBEvYDZo.html). The saga starts around 7:30. In all fairness, I do like some of their lighting experiments, etc.
@CamayCannon
@CamayCannon 2 года назад
I just totally failed using their weighted germination method. Because it required watering every day, my seeds stuck to the upper tray and just ruined the grow for me.

@joeconsumer What a unique and informative comment. You said so much about yourself, your ignorance, your entitlement, and your low self esteem. You're so stuck in your little prison on your pedestal you've convinced yourself there's one way to do things... what a horrible, horrible waste of human potential. But good luck

@dianachameleon2200
@dianachameleon2200 Год назад
No, microgreens don't regrow, need to start from scratch, but you can try and sell the used medium to the cattle farms or those who keep chicken as it can be used for compost or as chicken food. Hope it helps.

howsit nice vid and thank you, i would just like to point out that you are using your scale wrong, when your container is on the scale the lid should be closed when you either turn it on or press the tare button, your lid is touching the table 19:08 which will give you the wrong reading, the scale is very sensitive so you should never push down on a scale 22:05 the device is so sensitive that if you had to blow on it it would give you a reading. hope this helps i learnt all these the hard way and always check your setting is on the unit of measurement you want. After they are in the container do you have to refrigerate them until sold?
@PrincetonMicrogreens
@PrincetonMicrogreens 3 года назад
100% yes! We actually have a dedicated refrigerator to store all our microgreens before they are transported to the market or home delivery's (usually the next day... sometimes same day). Most of our greens will stay good refrigerated for 2-3 weeks. We've been told they've stayed fresh for up to a month at times by our customers!

Hi! Don't you use fans during the growing cycle? I have a closed grow room and I think if I didn't turn fans on I wouldn't have air circulation and this could be a disaster (I don't have windows or any air coming from outside).
@PrincetonMicrogreens
@PrincetonMicrogreens 3 года назад
Yes. We mention in a lot of our videos that we use fans, but normally only for the last few days. Really no need otherwise as long as your bottom water. They are just to keep the crops dry. A dehumidifier is more important than fans for the first 7-8 days. We do have a log of natural air circulation in our grow space though so maybe we are more fortunate.
