It’s going to hold the moisture around the area developing roots without keeping too much in the other area causing issues. But it is still easy for the roots to grow through!
It's not quite clear in video what you do immediately after putting all cuttings in pot for the first time.....can I leave them uncovered on an inside widow sill or do I need to put a plastic bag over it?? In fact, will the cuttings root if left outside during summer months?? Thank you.
@@bagherihelen I did mine in July. But I also did some more 2 weeks ago and they are still living. Also at the weekend I'm going to take some cuttings from my daughters climbing Rose and try them. I have 2 tubs out the back just for the cuttings and every few days I put my used tea bags on the soil I just split the tea bag a bit and chuck on the soil. Another tip I do is when I have a banana I cut the skin up in little pieces and scatter in the tubs, not just the cutting tubs but I do that in my flower beds as well.
Hi there, I tried your method 28 days ago I put 12 cuttings in a pot of multi purpose compost , and after 7 days I started seeing new buds on some of the cuttings , I have 7 out of the 12 with new leaves on them and growing fine ,I will be potting these up this week , today I've taken 6 more cuttings and will be trying it again ,thank you very much
I'm hoping the new owner of my previous home will let me take a few clipping from my beloved rose bush I left behind. I miss the beautiful blooms and want to propagate
I don't know why, but I never ever thought about just growing my own roses simply by potting the ones I get. Same goes for fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
Thank you very much for this video, gave you a like right away. I finally found who goes directly to the point and not make us hear long introductions telling us what he/she is going to "show us in some minutes" and then talk, and talk, and talk... I have some rose stems ready to re-plant, and will do it your way. I heard that banana skin helps in the root growing process, is it true?
Since it’s winter, can this be started inside on window sill with indirect lighting. I only have potting soil and root hormone. Think it’ll work. Thanks
У меня руки не оттуда растут, как только не пробовала укоренять, ничего не получается. Так еще не видела, попробую и это. я вот осенью нарезала черенков, интересно, их до весны держать или сейчас можно таким образом укоренять? Может кто знает?
I tried this method but all my cuttings died from the black rot come up the cane. I used sterilised secaturs and fungicide in the soil. The potting mix was coir and I think it was just ook wet. I am going to try a 50/50 mix of coir and sand.
Hi, I was wondering if you could show the planting of the cuttings With roots...to keep the process going.....you have really helped me ....Thank you...
thank you very much your idea was great always I believe that growing rose is very difficult and I'm not able to do that but now I have a lot of roses thank you very much 💗💗💗
Hi am here again, I bought 4 different colors of roses, I will try your style of propagation. I hope I will succeed like yours. Is there parts of the branch that I have to choose.
I feel the most successful yet the simplest method of rose cutting propagation. Fantastic results. Worth trying not only on rose but on others too. I am to propagate plumeria rubra and cluster fig (Ficus racemosa) cuttings. Is this method applicable on them ? Thanks for sharing this capturing presentation. Subscribed your channel watching this video and video list. Quite interesting. 👌💐👌💐👌💐👌💐👌💐👌💐👌💐👌
Subscribed immediately when i saw toilet paper, lol I like practical methods that actually work! And thanks for doing the videos in english, much appreciation from sunny South Africa ❤
Today I bought two cuttings from flower shop and they were healthy so have planted using this method. Used coco peat and compost. Let us see how it goes. How often to water the cuttings. Should I put the pot in shade or good light but not direct sun
Brilliant I'm off for my shears already because I have one rose that has defined being rooted and I know it's on its own roots as it was a rose stuck into the ground over a pet grave by a previous owner of this house and they made me promise to not kill it
Hola amigo gracias por compartir tus conocimientos, esta interesante esa técnica, tengo una pregunta cuanto tiempo se debe esperar para sembrarlas en una maceta ,gracias
OH WOW! I have some Roses I want to do this with. I was just saying, I need to buy more of the Rose. But Im going to do this, by next spring, or fall, it should be ready to plant outside. I wonder if you can do this with other flowers, or just Roses?
