I think this channel is going to be one of the most popular channels on youtube soon because of how awesome their videos are and I am proud to say that I am a subscriber.
Thanks, Terry, you did a wonderful job producing this video. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and skill with us. I hope you make more videos in the future.
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing, I have had problems with mold growth on my wheatgrass in the past. I had never thought of soaking them with foodgrade hydrogen peroxide.
Great video and explained very simple, I have only started with wheatgrass but sprouts and microgreens will follow soon. The setup you have in the background is EXACTLY what I want/need and should be easy/cheap to build for me. Thanks for sharing :-)
When the WG and micro greens get tall to the point that you can't see the soil from above, you can grab the tuft of WG and MG , lift it into another tray/basin with water, lay it in the water then replace the tuft back into the original tray. You've just watered from below, thus not pouring water over the grasses, which can be messy. Tip from Marcia Gibson-Grow room Manager/ Creative Health Institute Ann Wigmores original teaching center. Hope these instructions/tip were clear enough to follow.
Awesome video, thank you so much. I'm in Brazil and intend to start a business with seed grass. Could you tell me how long the grass lasts after 10 days old. My concern is what to inform my costumers about this. Many stores (shops) will buy them and will need a time to resell the grass.
May I ask what minerals (product) you use to water the seeds? Also,do you have the hydrogen peroxide/citricide mix in the water as well when you are watering?
Trueleaf is a great spot for seeds, h202 solution should be about 3% you can get concentrate on amazon, if you have mold issues your not clean enough not to be a buzz kill, but clean your grow area with light bleach solution , you can also soak in the h202 solution for the 48hrs. This will make sure as stated the surface contaminants are gone. If mold shows in about 3 days or four sometimes you get a bad batch of seed. Just how it is. Dig the pvc set up btw. Good Video @Islandwheatgrass
Hi thanks for the video. I /have a question. Did you water every 24 hrs day 3 through 5, or did you just water on day 3, and leave it through day 5? Thanks
6 ounces orange juice plus 1 ounce WG juice. tastey. 6 oz carrot, 3 oz apple, 1 oz lemon and of course 1-2 oz Wg. Add and very yummy.. But yes do start slowly... I went from barfing to loving it.. Peace.
Hi, I am a new wheatgrass grower growing for a local juice bar on Vancouver Island - Currently about 8 trays a week. Everything was going really well for a few months and then I got hit with a white mold problem that has affected everything. Is this a common problem? I am in the process of clearing everything out of my grow area and starting over with new equipment, but would like some input if you can spare the time. How likely is this to be a seed contaminant problem? Humidity/Airflow? Sanitation problem? Thanks, Paul
