Love the new hairstyle. Also, Step 2 is SO TRUE. My biggest bumps have been from shoutouts and collabs. I’ve also been analyzing a lot of successful people over the last few weeks who are growing fast and have noticed their numbers jumped with every collab. It’s a big part of my plan for 2019! Good advice! I am at the point where I am going to start collaborating with other channels similar to mine, which is scratch off lottery tickets/gambling. There are a few others who enjoy doing that because it not only helps out smaller channels, but they get new content as well. I have been doing almost daily videos for 7 months and am trying to just get over 100 subscribers. These types of channels start taking off when someone gets a big win, doesn't have to be a jackpot either. I started off with a strategy of what content I would do each day (different types/amounts of tickets) and have kept that up. This is my fourth content switch among 3 channels and so far, this one is the easiest one to keep up with and it's fun.

I don't have one yet. I need to finish my life coach training, tomorrow, I hope and start growing my audience since I'm working lots of long hours and extra days it may take me longer to start. We have a unique channel. I'm from the US but retired in Nepal so I see things from a different perspective than local people do. But when I say something is a problem and give a tip about it I say it because it was a problem for me or I know a tourist that told me about it from their own first-hand experience. Here's a problem not many RU-vidrs have. When we looked at our stats we noticed there was a big drop at the 2-minute time-frame. At first, I thought it was because I wasn't connecting well with my audience. But then I looked at all my subscribers and they are mostly Nepali. They may be interested in what interests tourists/westerners, but they don't need to have the visuals of something so familiar to them-like a nasty, squat toilet, or a typical Asian, over-crowded bus so they click off. But they are loyal and come back when we get another video up. Sweet kind of problem; the Nepali are really lovely people.

Hi Gillian, thanks for the tips! I really like the one about having quality content to get collaborations. My content is so niche (belly dancing lessons) that it is difficult for me to find local people to collaborate with - so far everyone has said no! Even smaller channels who are just starting out don't seem to want to collaborate with me. I'm thinking now this might be why... 🤦‍♀️ Thanks for the great videos!

Your channel Asbury educational and has helped out a lot I haven't started my RU-vid channel yet I'm still trying to get everything together get my ideas together but I'm going to start a channel about awareness for people who are depressed to think they have nobody else in the world I'm going off of the series 13 reasons why it was very inspiring to me and I'm hoping to be able to get in touch with them to be able to show some films on my RU-vid channel also later on my start a podcast for people to be able to talk about how they're feeling if they feel comfortable enough to kind of like a group and I heard there's a couple other ideas that I haven't exactly put all together

Hello Gillian, I found your channel through suggested videos. First, your videos are very informative; I made a RU-vid channel about a month ago so I am doing my research and learning a lot. This is a lifestyle channel about different aspects of my life ad I started with trip reports. I have to say that starting out is difficult for someone who has no experience in the filming world (like myself) so I cannot vouch for the good quality videos. I always here that the first videos are not that good :) Anyway, thanks for all your help. Please keep it up!

Since you asked... I create tutorials on how to use 3D software for useful things!
