I dont like bullshit motivational quips or random posts from strangers, but it just hit me that I am trying to get into this thing to get my keys. I abuse alcohol so I've started tossing my keys into this on nights that I do decide to drink. It's very very important to retain sobriety when you realize that you're trying to break into the box. You paid for it. It obviously "meant something". You bought it for a reason. Sure, it's a bullshit safeguard that doesnt "fix" the problem... but the fact that you bought the device in the first place shows that you have the capacity to recognize you have a problem. You gotta realize when you end up searching "How To Open KSafe" WHY you purchased this expensive fucking box in the first place. I'll admit, in this moment, I am bummed. I need a fucking drink right now. But sober me was like "meh... dude, maybe not"
@@ruthie8785 I'm going to copy paste the way I opened my box without breaking it completely (so you don't have to buy new boxes that often): "I actually figured out how to break in the Ksafe in a way how you can fix the box afterwards but it only works if one of the pieces locking the cage is on the side where you can change the batteries and if you have something in the box that you can take from a small gap when lifting the box (for me the other side of the box didn't come off even when I lifted the lid from the other side). You need to open the battery box, take out the batteries and then take something you can saw the box with. I didn't have any kind of proper saw so I just used serrated kitchen knife. Then I saw out the piece that was drilled from the box in the video (I actually got inspired from this video how to do it in the way I did). After that you can lift the lid from the other side a little bit and like I said if you have something in the box that you can take from a little gap then you can snatch what ever is in the box you need/want with your fingers. Keep the piece that you just sawed from the box and glue it with super glue back on. Then you technically have still unbroken box." If you do not want to use this way, make sure to place the lid in a way that one of the blocks that lock the jar is not on the side where the batteries go. I actually decided that after I broke my box in this way that now on I'll make sure not to lock in on the battery side. It was quite the effort to saw it open with a kitchen knife so it's not a quick solution and you might not even wanna spend and hour sawing the box especially if you don't have proper tools for it. BUT that way you can open the box an glue it back together later so no need to purchase a new box. I was actually so pissed at myself for breaking the box that I ordered a new box immediately. I feel like I need to have at least two unbroken boxes to lock the stuff that I need to lock in there. Cause sometimes you lock something in and then you are like ohh I actually should probably put this thing too in the box and there is unfortunately an option to put more stuff in after you've locked the box. I kind of feel like that that would be a great improvement for the ksafes. Anyway... I wish you good luck. I know addiction is hard and there are always some set backs, it's just part of the recovery. So don't be too hard on yourself. At least you are doing something to improve and that in itself is a big thing.
I guess other way would be sawing the bottom of the box off and glue it back on later. But I feel like that would take a lot more time especially if you have only a kitchen knife to saw the box with. 🤣

People are trying to change by buying this and giving tips to enable them to break into a safe they bought without the repercussions of breaking it to safe guard them from using whatever vice they are trying to abstain from is detrimental to one’s journey to sobriety. there must be consequence to one’s action when trying to abstain from things if you give them the ability to break into it with no harm, no foul what’s the point of having the safe at all? At least if they break it, they have to deal with the consequence of them wasting the money, which is a further reinforcement to stop doing what they’re doing.. I know you meant well but I can tell you there’s probably a good handful of people who’ve broke their sobriety based on your comment already. I’m sitting here right now looking for tip to do that exact thing but then I had a moment of clarity like wtf am I doing *_“Do I want to be free or continue to enable myself on this self destructive path?”_*
Good video :) Peeps you obviously got this for a reason, if it's not working out maybe Rehab is the answer! The fact you can't override the setting is the whole beauty, if you do by destroying it, you may possibly be looking at a new box and if you are on a budget you don't want to get a new one. If you are not eager to break into it, this little box is a fantastic tool for life's many bad habits that get out of control before you know.

Thank you, seeing where you broke the container was very helpful. I had to break it by hand with a sharp metal tool, but the lid is still good and I don’t have to replace the container so I’m happy.

Use a butter knife, did this exact same thing with one tool, just pry the base out enough that the tab is hitting the plastic box, eventually and honestly not that much time it just pops the tab right off. In a fashion that you could use gorilla glue and not a soul would known I broke into the box 👀
I was about to do this because my kitchensafe actually just refused to open even when the timer was off. The reason why it was broken was because I put it in the refrigerator which caused some of the electronics to stop working. The solution was to just let it heat up a bit and then the device worked again as it should.
If you're just going to use physical force to open the container, it's better just to get a hammer and smash the container face down. It's plastic so it breaks easily with force, and they sell replacement containers for like $30. If you do it this method, you mess up your lid, need more tools, labor and you end up having to replace the container anyway.
It’s easy to get inside if you don’t mind destroying it lol. All you need is a towel and a hammer. Just cover the jar/basin part with the towel, and give it a few good whacks with the hammer. It’s just plastic so it splinters apart
I did this by accidentally breaking a chunk of it off with the butter knife prying method

HELP!!! I love mine but time froze !!!! Its not the batteries idk what it is 😢 I wanted to have a look at the circuit but it's so hard to get into without damaging the lid case. any tip? or any way of getting into the circuit without damaging the casing too much? I actually broke in without any drilling (just like, stretched the base plastic on one way until the slab was out of the hole and raised the lid... its rigid plastic but its not completely rigid... ) so I can access the circuit if only I wasn't scared of breaking the whole lid lol I'd actually use the safe if it worked (to quit smoking! can't do it cold turkey lol need to do it progressively 😅😅😅) because breaking in its too much of a hussle + Id be judging myself for being pathetic... usually, if there is an obstacle to the urge that'll be enough for willpower to win the battle. but as I said... not working. help !!!
Lol can't believe this is the first time I am using this box and already on day 1 after coming home from work I google if there is a way to open this thing just for fun cause the company goes a lot on about how it can't be done. and BAM first result is this vid 🤣🤣
Not really what I was looking for, but if you were going to open it by physically destroying some part of it this would be the way to do it I guess... They do sell the container part separately for this scenario. But I was hoping for a trick with a magnet or perhaps drilling a tiny hole to access the correct part of the pcb or something along those lines.
I feel you. I searched the entire web for a way in, tried every trick I could find. The only ”trick” I could find, that worked, was to smash it. 😄 While this is a step up from that, I’d still like to find a proper, Einstein-level, hack.
Yeah that has been a big reason why I didn't break my boxes for years. Today I just went fuck it I'll break it in a way that you can glue the box back together and ordered a new box just in case (now I'll have 3 but one of the boxes is a little bit damaged but luckily it still will get the job done). I will never be breaking my boxes again. The disappointment that you feel towards yourself after breaking a box is another reason not to break it. I feel horrible that I broke something that I value and something that is expensive. So to anyone thinking about breaking their box... Please don't do it. It's never going to be worth it. And you have bought the box for a reason so it defeats the purpose if you end up breaking it. Best of luck to everyone, stay strong! ❤
@@herpderpina7599 i can read your motivation and i wanted to congrats you for the efforts you put in. I bought the box and it help me but the hard part is having the discipline to use it.
I was able to push the tabs as far back as possible, then bend/stretch out the box a bit to get the base fully off. Is mine defective? Are you supposed to be able to push the tabs in once locked?
I guess we're talking drugs here primarily... I dunno, if somebody lacks so much control that they feel the need to go to such extremes, maybe they should just stop altogether.
