FYI: To launch TCPGecko, you will need to use Tiramisu. If you don't already have it setup, but have Aroma set up, follow this guide: wiiu.hacks.guide/#/aroma/finalizing-setup?id=booting-tiramisu-optional Some people have reported that they're getting some type of error saying something along the lines of "JGecko U version does not match the version of TCPGecko installer" or something like that. I'm not sure what's triggering that error, as I'm unable to replicate it. If you're getting this error, try going to the "wiiu" folder in your SD card, then go to the "apps" folder, find the "TCPGecko" folder, open it, delete "tcpgecko.elf", and then download this version github.com/BullyWiiPlaza/tcpgecko/raw/master/tcpgecko.elf and put it in the same location. This may or may not work.
I hope you see this comment because i have a problem. The program doesn't show the codes when i connect to the wiiu but they show when i click load code list.
for some reason whenever i send the codes, it just freezes the console until i unplug the console. why is this? does it revolve around good internet connection?
Hey, I'm looking for a way to ONLY hack my gear in Splatoon 1. Does that work or are they just splatoon hacks? If not, could you do a tutorial on how to hack the gear? Because most of the Gear Hack tutorials are outdated and don't work anymore.
if i recall correctly I just opened the map in Recon (which won't work anymore unless you're using pretendo or something) then ran the Vsgame codes or something
I looked everywhere but didn't find, so how do we get to the part with the wii u showing the ip? I do have tcpgecko installed on my wii u, I did it many ways and I still don't manage to get to that page
@@Dax009 i'm using aroma, but no matter how I installed tcpgecko, it never ever showed up in my menu, I do now my wii u ip but when I use the software it says it doesn't find any wii u using tcpgecko despite it's well installed in my wii u sd card like in the video
yeah, for this guide, you have to use tiramisu, check the description for how to install tiramisu i also recommend using this homebrew application to switch between aroma and tiramisu hb-app.store/wiiu/EnvSwap
Yo, just asking, since the online for the wii u went out, does it affect the ability for the wii u to connect to my computer to ge the codes? if it does, what other way is there to get the hacks or whatnot
Ok so my problem is I insert the xml, but they won't load in when I connect to Wii u. They will show up when I press load code list, but disappear when I connect. Then I can't press load code list unless I disconnect. It's really annoying
Any way or code to just hack my name to be something different? Like how your name is in the second part of this video. I just wanna use a 14 character name but the mii character limit is not letting me. I've seen other hackers do it but I don't know how to
I keep getting compatibility issues saying the versions downloaded are not the same, i got the newest verion frlm github of jgeckoU and i got tcpgecko installer from the hb appstore but on the wii u rather than on the web which i dont think makes a difference, i also DID click A instead of X in the installer but it just will not work
Also the gecko u updater when i click on transfer files from sd card i get some long ass error that prevents me from transfering the files, idk if this could maybe have something to so with me having aroma on my sd card? But im loading into tiramisu to use gecko
@@Dax009 i even now got in touch with bullywiiplaza, apparentely the problem is just that gecko is rlly old so sometimes it doesnt quite work with newer cfw like tiramiu, which kinda leads into my other question which is if you used tiramisu to showcase this and if it still works for you to this day?
this guide doesn't cover the software used for that but if you can get tcpgecko running you can use the software SplatAIO (actually SplatAIO 2 technically) to accomplish that
@@Dax009 hell yeah!... The thing is I already homebrew my Wii U, it's been a while and every time I try to open homebrew channel or the launcher it doesn't work. I also lost the guide I used to do it so I'm pretty lost and nervous, I don't want to brick my Wii U if I do something wrong ! ;-; (I'll try this tutorial later tho, if there's a way of getting this to work I'll do my best, Splatoon 1 is a very special game to me and I would hate for anything to get lost or unavailable after the online shuts down) Ps: I had used the homebrew before to play Bayonetta 2 and to get a bunch of dlc b4 the eShop died, so it definitely should work... I just don't know how to use it again ;-;
@@Dax009 thank you! I got it before, I just got super stuck but now I can finally play the game like god intended before it shuts down, thanks for the help!!
I've seen other comments about this, but the moonjump code and special always loaded/active really don't seem to be working. But when I used JgeckoU on another modding program the moonjump did seem to work What happened to moonjump on Jgecko U???
@@Dax009 yeah, i was guessing it was. i didn’t send any codes yet, i just connected during the loading screen. should i connect after it gets to the zl+zr screen?
okay yeah i finally got it to work a while ago and then i was reminded that when you use strike with special always active the wii u makes that blood curdling sound
@@Dax009 no i tried using both but neither worked, ive tried to look for other ways to solve this and saw that after loading and trying to install tcp gecko on my wiiu theres supposed to be the black screen with the installing text on it but for me it skips right into the home menu and does nothing
@@Dax009 i tried it when i wasnt in splatoon and i got the message i loaded up the game and i still got the message i had also changed the file name to be eu because that is my reigion
i have everything working except for the codes, it can connect but when i try to send a code the game crashes, then jgecko will give me an error message whenever i try to connect again. deleting everything and redoing the entire tutorial fixes it, but when i try to run a code, the game will crash and jgecko gives me an error when trying to connect again after restarting my console. do you know how i can fix this? (loved the video btw, ur underrated, i subscribed 👍) edit: for anyone with this same problem, going into the homebrew menu and installing TCP gecko again fixed the connection issue. i got the codes working. thanks again for the tutorial
@@theslyshow6199 it's a separate app from JGecko U, just do the first part where you get TCPGecko and run it but put your wii u IP into SplatAIO2 instead of JGecko U
Bro the Splatoon 1 servers are dead why even bother reuploading. Do you really think Nintendo is going to fix a bug allowing people to get root access on a console they can't even profit off of in a week? Also Splatoon 1 is peer to peer so they have to patch the game and I don't think very many low level devs are still around from 2015
