@Charles X it went pretty good really had a hard time with that back window of a Camry but came out pretty good tips on your videos really help lots thanks
helpful tip**** if you are trying to cut around the border for the window, have a buddy hold their phone flashlight right under your razor from the inside, helps a LOT
bro i love watching your video over and over i do tint for leaving but i will put your tec Nic in use soon ,, i love when you strink it with the torch,, one day i want to be as good as you
I hand cut tint on every car, because I'm mobile. I also use a shop light inside so there's no guessing where I'm cutting. Every new Camry I've done has a fold down rear seat. Much easier on the knees and back installing on the rear. Super easy to pull the 3rd brake light. Slide to the right and lift and pop the connector off. Good job.
"MAN THANK YOU!!.." I liked!.."i shared!.."& i subscribed!!.."THANK YOU!.."LMAO!.." U have made me so excited about my new.."SIDE HUSTLE" tinting windows 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌
I shrink sideways all the time . great video! Gotta leave the film long hit it then cut it off. Works well. On the Camry cut the bottom on edges then slide it up. Save a crapload of time. Fold one seat down to install.
What is your dawn to water ratio for the mix you use to spay on the windows? Do you leave a little extra as for as the fingers on the back glass because you were going to shrink the material to fit? Why did you not try to set the material a little tighter on the glass so you would not have to shrink so many fingers?
8:25 is solved by a cheaper LED (!) floodlight from a construction/tools store and a gallow stand (like a microphone or cymbal stand), so you can stick it in through the rear passenger doors without it touching the interior of the car. Even better 2 floodlights back to back, so usable from either side but you can also just rotate it horizontally into a position that covers the whole windshield at once.
I like your video there very informative however everyone shows how to take fingers out but no one talks about the heat setting.I have a single-speed one will that do?1500 Watt 11 Amp Heat Gun
when you use a hard card to wet shrink any imperections in or on the glass will transfer to the film. It will cause the film to fail with a granular look. Dry shrink is the only way to shrink. Another shread of advice, keep the heat gun cord off the body. You will destroy a paint job by dragging the cord across the body.
Sir, what is the good measurement for wet spray, I am trying to put film on my Audi A4 2009, I been searching many methods none of them gives correct or honest measurement, thank you good luck in your business and RU-vid channel
Thanks for all your info brother I really appreciate you giving tips on how todo window tinted what film do you recommend to used thanks in advance keep the good work👍👌
what type or kind of heat gun (watts, temp, voltage, not sure how they go by) you recommend for heat shrinking? Im trying to tint the windows for my vehicle and its going to be my firs time (yikes lol) o yea what kind of film would you recommend for a 2018 Accord? thank you for your time
Hey buddy, i attempted to do a rear window on a 06 civic sedan, those big finger bubbles kept reoccuring on the edges, whats the trick? I did heat shrink, was that necessary?
Dave's World 77 you want to stay away from dish soap degreaser’s are hard on the adhesive. Baby shampoo is what I have found works best. Not to mention I noticed dish soap leaves streaks on the door panels If not dried fast enough.
Baby shampoo hands down. If your film company tests the film under warranty they will not warranty it if you use dish soap. Aka degreaser. Destroys the adhesive.
Professional at work!!! When you are doing the tint shrinking on the upper right side I noticed scratches on the bottom part, are those on the film itself or the films glue side protective plastic? Thanks. How much do you charge to get all windows tinted, let's say 2018 optima?
Excellent video - Your film is awesome it shrinks much better than the film I bought off of Amazon. On my Ford Crown Vic the large curved rear window is a nightmare because the film won’t shrink to fit Is there a quality film that a DIYer can buy with good to excellent heat shrinking capability like your film? I put 20% VLT on my car but here in Massachusetts I have to remove it each year in order to pass inspection
Tried doing my own back glass tonight, had those "fingers" wreaking havoc when I was trying to squeegee it on, now I see where I went wrong having not shrunk it at all. Gotta find someone with a heat gun I can borrow 🤔
Hey can u do a video on a single piece back glass of any pickup truck?? I did one today and the side windows came out perfect but the back glass was absolutely trash 😭
would it have helped if you remove the head rests from the back seats? I noticed when you were putting the tint in the tint scraped the top of the head liner. I'm looking to re-tint my Scion tC and relearning the tricks of the trade, a friend and I used to tint windows back in the day when there was't much curves on the windows. Very helpful and informative.
To prevent contamination from the top u can use the California roll technique. He uses an old technique that only works for a shop user but not for a MOBILE tinter.
? for you. I had my 2012 bmw 7 series Li tinted today and tint shop had bubble problems on by back rear windshield since is has the defroster lines. The did it 3 times and no success. They did show me other cars they did with defrost lines with no problems. They are telling me that i have some kind of damage defroster lines thats preventing tint from sticking. What advise would you give me since they are telling to that i need to replace my back windshield, THANKS.
Hi, can i ask a practical question based on your expertise? I hav a vann without windows at the rear . Can i use tint film on the outside giving the impression there are windows? Will it hold? And if so, can it be removed if necessary in the future (to sale my vann)
Hey Dave, can u "PLEASE! make us a really quick list of the tools will need to do window tinting to get us started.."THANK YOU!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌
