How To Handle Geckos + Meet All My Geckos 

My crested gecko does actully come to me if I my hand in his enclosure😂 He's my 1st crested gecko and he was EXTREMLY aggressive at 1st since I got him off craigslist and he hadn't been held in years. After a lot of interaction and patience and ancage upgrade hes calmed down emensly😊

There's a colony of Velvet Geckos I visit occasionally that live in an access tunnel under a water treatment plant. If I open the hatch too quickly they all fearlessly base jump into the darkness.

One thing I see a lot is that some people put their Leos on their shoulders and want to walk around. That is something you should never do. Since Leos aren't the best at climbing they could easily fall

This is very helpful! I’ve had my crestie for almost two years and we’re still working on handling. I love him and I don’t want to spook him if I move funny on accident when he jumps. EDIT: also working on a bio-active enclosure for him to be more comfortable in.

Out of topic but he is a reptile after all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Ok my garter snake *Karma * I recently got him and he was 2 years old what I've been told. He is not used to be handled, I saw him at the reptile store in an beautiful enclosure, he was the only one of his morph there. I try everyday to interact with him, scoop him up carefully and just let him Riggle free even tho he try to run away. I don't grab or lay any pressure on him! I maybe hold him 1-2 min and let him go... Buuuut apparently he is not shy when I bring food 🤣 damnit

My gargoyle is a lot like citrus. I can't really hold her, she just keeps jumping and breathing fast and is clearly stressed so I very rarely handle her...

Do you use lights for you’re geckos?

I just got 2 adult geckos that have not been handled since they were juveniles. They're very bitey. I would like to know some tips on how to get them to where I can handle them and get them so they aren't so bitey. And is it ok to keep 2 in a 10 gal tank together? That's how they were when I got them but I just feel they don't have enough space. I have another 10 gal tank but its not set up yet

Are Mack snow geckos a risky buy?

I have a leopard gecko who decides when she comes out and will give a lot of attitude if she's not in the mood. Lol. But that's okay. I respect her wishes unless its an emergency. I really want a crested but I'm so so nervous it'll jump away and my cats will get it.

I touched my gecko’s nose for a little too long and she tried to bite me. She used to bite me a lot but she stopped. She is getting an attitude whenever I touch her, how can I fix that? (She is a leopard gecko) Also, how can I stop my baby crestie from pooping on me?
