How to Hang a Pull-Up Bar 

It works. I weigh like close to 150, and can do weighted pull-ups up to 75 lbs. it is incredibly sturdy, I’ve done this for years

@@MegaTefta pull-ups are mostly for back, but your biceps and forearms will get a decent workout as well. Pull-ups don’t work triceps. To work triceps, do push-ups and if you want to really only isolate the triceps, do diamond push-ups. Do chin ups for a better bicep workout

@@TheArtfulOutlook no it’s not the main driver. Yes, core strength is one of the determining factors, but in the end it is mainly back, biceps, forearms

@@henrik8812 nah. been using it for a month and its been fine 👍🏼 i was using an old cheap one from the thrift before and i got a new one on amazon from this brand “alley peaks” and I’ve been hearing less creaking with that one.

My suggestion if you can, just go to home Depot and put like a 2x2 piece of wood along top door making sure you get the house 2x4s.

It depends on the door, but generally no since the bar partly rests on the top of the door frame.

I bought mine at a Walmart about 6 years ago. According to their website, they still have them! Just Google “pull up bar Walmart”. Best of luck!

@@diecupcakee there’s definitely some inherent risk involved in these pull-up bars, so it is advisable to get a wall mount if you feel more comfortable with that. I’ve never had an issue with mine, but risk of accident is definitely still a possibility!

This kind of pull up bar is designed to hang on a door frame, but I’m sure that there are other ones that can be mounted on a wall!

Oh weird. Yeah, mine didn’t come with a little hook, but I did buy mine several years ago, so maybe it’s a new thing to secure it better? I’ve never had any issues without the hook

With the pull-up bar attached, you can’t close the door. It’s easy to take down though.

Do you mean screws to assemble it or screws to mount it? It doesn’t take any screws to mount, it just sits on top of the door frame. If it’s the screws to actually assemble the pull up bar, then there’s a screw set on Amazon for like $5. Hope this helps!

Stone and metal would work very well, biting does work on wood too! Every trim I’ve used mine on has been wood, just make sure it’s secure.
