That was so informative. I am convinced. Your logic makes so much sense. The new pruning process begins immediately! l loved the last part about the disease and how you recommended preventive health mesaures rather than reactive control. That is what we do on our farm in Panama. We spend time and money on plant health and not time and money on "bandaids" after the problems occur. You are definitely on to something. Thank you. If you want to visit a quasi agroforestry farm in Panama you are welcome.

hey man really nice video. I have had many different extension agents at our farm usually here we manage the coffee differently but what you said makes alot of sense, and it just makes sense to prune the old branches and keep the new shoots coming. I especially liked the idea of bringing up the "hijos" so they are ready to produce when the mother plant is cut back after 6 or so years. otherwise you spend at least a year unproductive after cutting the coffee back. I will definitely have to try this method out. Congratulations

That weather pattern is exactly the same here in Liberia but opposite in time of year.

Hey. Nice vid. Even though I can't grow coffee here, I am curious about the details of your harvest. I wish I could afford to support your patreon... hopefully next year... but perhaps you could ask your patrons if they'd mind if you posted that extra vid three or six months down the road or something, so they still get special access, but we all get to see it eventually? Thanks as always.

Yo, thanks for the support! Actually, all of our videos are available here, and we want to keep it that way =) Patrons get complimentary material, but that's usually written stuff, sketches, etc .

@@AgroforestryAcademy- ok. Cool. So, maybe in a future vid you can do a brief rundown... How much processing do you do? Do you keep and process any for personal use? Do you sell all excess to one buyer or in multiple smaller batches? Is it profitable/do buyers treat growers well? Thanks again.

Chicken in the coffee and mulching ...how we can stop chick scratching around the mulch?
@AgroforestryAcademy
@AgroforestryAcademy 3 года назад
Use very coarse material, like long branches, logs and that kind of stuff. Material that they're unable to scratch. Also, just make sure you have a constant supply of mulch in order to keep on replenishing it
