Hello psych2go, could you make a video of how to maintain a relationship from a distance? I and my crush live a bit far away, but we talk every day and do things together and we want to meet in person, but we still have to comunicate from chat or video chat. I would be very grateful if you would make a video on that topic, and I hope to have a good relationship with her. Thank You Psych2go if u readed this, peace! ♥️

"Stop, breathe, and think about what you're thinking about" this sentence actually hit me. I'm an overthinker and I know that I tend to overthinking things, and it hurts that your brain keep on showing you the worst case scenario and whatever the outcome is. I think I should try this

Its okay not to know what your porpuse is yet, life is about the thing you do with it, the big and small moments. Look, according to christianity, God has s purpose for you, an extraordinary one, every day you have big and small missions that counts on your life and in other lifes. Your mission, as human, and from your perspective is to fulfill your dreams, your goals, do what makes you happy, what makes you smile, what makes you feel complete, enjoy everyday, take care of you, love, fall in love with yourself and with those pleasing moments, Relax, just vibe with it and have fun, you doing alright

About the love part, calm down, love will come, it will find you when you least expect and if you like someone, take a risk, ask them out, talk, life is preparing you for your great love, do not worry, you will find someone who I love you for who you are, calm down. it takes time, but do not rush, enjoy yourself before, learn, travel, know, experience. And remember, you can have the girl of your dreams, you are enough and capable to make them fall in love with you.

Once I can get over this mental hurdle of not feeling awkward expressing positive emotions physically (jumping around, smiling, being more expressive generally) I think I'll feel a lot better about myself. It's been a hard hurdle to try and work at but I'm trying at least. I've finally gotten scheduled with a counselor at college after trying all semester, and even if it's the final week it's still a step. Appreciate these videos helping me figure out how to process my inner thoughts a bit.

At the start of this year I was given a pay raise to work the night shift. Needless to say the pay was awesome but working all alone for eight hours a day seriously takes a toll on your mental health. Took me five months to get used to it and to fix my mental health it took me almost 3 months of counseling. I can confidently say I’m in a better headspace now than I’ve been in a long time.

@lynsimations6157
@lynsimations6157 2 года назад
@@Contemptuously I’m sorry about that. Though, you just made me realize a good point, we never really lose ourselves (our strengths and who we want to continue to be) unless we say we do. It’s something that’s always with us and ready to be found again at any moment- like a lost childhood item or a set of our favorite series dvds (to be gained again little by little). And we can always create who we want to become if we don’t have it already, little by little too- even if it doesn’t feel like much progress is being made. You never know how much a plant is really growing until you look back at where it once was and when it grows one flower or a new leaf- it’s the most beautiful of all and there’s many more to come.
@Contemptuously
@Contemptuously 2 года назад
@@lynsimations6157 Once, all the way up to 6th grade, I used to be this great person who was (almost) always happy with life, no matter what. Ever since 7th grade, though, I started to develop social anxiety and a really big insecurity. However, it wasn't that bad, because I still said "here" while the teacher or whoever it was called role, even though it pained me to do so. When I was in 8th grade, my social anxiety got much worse than it once was, though some of my insecurities went away. I didn't talk basically at all to any of the students in my classrooms. As of 9th grade which I am in now, I am still trying to fight it off subconsciously and some of my insecurities that I once had I feel like are coming back slowly, trickling up my back until it eats me alive. I can't see it anymore. Might as well say the good days are long gone. Edit: By "it", I mean my childhood or the good days.
@lynsimations6157
@lynsimations6157 2 года назад
@@Contemptuously That does really stink. Anxiety is a terrible trickster with clever and adaptable tactics. My advice would be to keep fighting off the anxiety, because anxiety’s weakness is discomfort. And for when you feel anxious but free to do whatever you want, especially if you took a step out of your comfort zone and need to calm down, do something that makes you happy and engages you- play a new game or relearn an old one, learn a new sport, think of a happy place (even if it’s imaginary) or something to look forward too (a new game releasing) read a lighthearted book (as far as types of books like that that I know of, I’d recommend The Moomins or Kiki’s Delivery Service or Howls Moving Castle, try painting and poetry writing in a private journal- even if you don’t feel you’re good at it at first, just do it if you wanted to-, whatever you feel like will help you let go of the anxiety and move forward with defeating it again and again. That way your mind stays out of your head and you feel like more than just your anxiety- because I know that’s what you are. I’d also recommend trying to look for a therapist and looking for help from a professional if you can. You’re bound to find one or more that encourages you and lifts you up through this. Even if the good days are gone too, remind yourself that they will be replaced by greater days- ones that can even be better than you ever could have imagined. Maybe they won’t come now, or tomorrow, or a week, month or year from now- but they will so don’t rely on saying nothing will ever be good again. This isn’t to say you can’t be sad about it every now and again- crying your eyes out in anger and sadness (and rehydrating after of course)- but always remember to take fighting anxiety and giving yourself the life you deserve one step at a time the next day. Do your best to live, do things that bring you joy and fight your anxiety one step at a time. Anxiety may never truly go away, but we can overcome it or start to gain the advantage over anxiety again and again. You’re worth it and I know you can show your anxiety who’s boss- even if only in the smallest ways.

I’ve been like this for over 3 years now & it doesn’t seem to be getting better, only worse. I have to be useless basically to actually feel good, anything that requires skill, practice, patience, etc will make me feel worse because I’m failing over & over, no sign of getting better & people making fun of me. It’s lead to me to being negative all the time & I can’t control it. Also have a massive hatred towards people for being better than me for the reason I left above This all begun from 1 self doubt thought...

While watching this video I felt cold so I wrapped myself up in a blanket and I felt cosy but still cold like my arm is tingling and my little sister finally got up and I just created a simplified assignment sheet for her to help her with her homework and I started daydreaming about that halfway through the video then I started to feel anxious again because I remembered I am helping my little sister with her homework to avoid thinking about the fact that I am going to be assessed for ADHD tomorrow / in the following days... lol.

I love this videos so dearly. The artist and vocalist are VERY GOOD at their jobs and for some reason really fit together. To put it simpler, The art seems to just match with the voice and that’s what makes this channel so different from any other normal health channel. The others just seem boring like science class but this channel is one hell of a channel.

Day 1: While watching this, I start feeling as if I can finally revert 11 years of mental pain. Day 2: I can sense that my mental health improved by only 3%. At least that's an improvement. Day 3: There was trauma everywhere. At least I kept my cool there. Day 4: It looks like everything in existence is starting to get in the way of my attempts to restore myself Day 8: I am starting to lose hope in my progress. Day 69: There was 20% improvement since day 8.

Oh, I perfectly relate and understand very well what you are talking about! It's my life's story... : ( I am experiencing that kind of pattern repeatedly; every time I get motivated by something and set out to make some improvement in my life, suddenly all sorts of things start to go wrong and get in the way, despite my best and repeated efforts... And it just leads to dead ends... Which inevitably gets me disheartened, desperate, frustrated and bitter beyond words. And eventually I give up. What can you do when you experience failure after failure, disappointment after disappointment... Time and again for years and years. : ( Absolutely nothing ever works out...!!.. . . Though, still I like watching videos like these.

This year would have been my exchange student year in japan, but because of covid I take the classes per zoom in the middle of the night (because of timezones). I already learned a lot, but it just feels wrong. There is so much more I‘m missing out on which is really bumping me out. On another note, I don‘t have many friends. And covid doesn‘t help with that. But at the beginning of the pandemic I found a few people online, 2 in particular, who are incredible people. I just often ask myself, if I‘m even good enough to hang out with them. Sometimes I think about how they only spend time with me to pass the time, because they don‘t have anything better to do. The last few days were even more difficult than usual, probably because it was building up inside me. I‘m aware, that my problems with covid are trivial in comparison to what others went through. My biggest condolences to everyone who lost someone in these last 2 years due to that illness.

Thx to Psych2Go i got motivated to make a change in my life, for more hard it sounds, lately it haven't been easy, and as overthinker too my mental health and condition feels like being in a roller coaster. 🎭 I didn't dare to explain all this but i guess you need to know that here's a 14 years old guy trying to have a better health. 😊💖 Thx Psych2Go, and hope everybody can get out of this darkness, we got this, we're not alone 😊 Hope in a future i can be part of this channel as animator.

I don't know why but it takes me so much energy and concentration to remember stuff, like I can't remember what I did this morning with out straining myself to remember. It's hard to deal with this in school cus by the time the teachers done talking and hands out work I can't remember how to do it and I don't wanna be a nuisance to my teacher by asking how to do it after she just explained it. It's hard for me to retain info no matter what I do, like I have been best friends with someone for 5 years and I still have no idea what they like cus I forget it and just can't remember, I had almost been diagnosed with depression but I got my self pulled out of therapy cus it just didn't work for me and I just lied about how I felt cus it was over phone and I can't do things online but I'm trying to go back I just can't till I can go in person. I wanna get help but having been always yelled at for breaking down or needing a mental break or just anything about my mental health I can't talk to people easily nor my friends cus in the past when I tried they just would laugh and agree they delt with the same thing. I so badly want help but I know when I get it I won't talk and I'm scared to get help from all the screaming and gaslighting just for expressing my feelings, I can't even bring up the fact more then half the days I don't feel safe at home because I would be put in foster care and I don't wanna lose my friends or my family I get along with. I can't even have my thoughts to myself without thinking I'm faking it, and I know I'm not but knowing what some of my friends have to deal with it's hard not to especially when I never have had the ability to get my feelings out. It's just so overwhelming with all my feelings but sometimes it just goes blank, I don't think I'm just doing something and I finally get peace in my own mind cus it's just empty. I just feel like I wanna exist between life and death like I just can't feel anything, like I'm just floating. I won't have to deal with yelling and fighting or my thoughts or people. Just a void of sleep where I never wake up. We're I'm free to dream about anything I want no bad thoughts just a dream world. The only things I'm interested in anymore is art, theatre, and nicotine. I just always feel empty or numb when I'm not around people. I'm only really happy when I'm alone or with the few people I trust and even then I still will suddenly start getting bad thoughts even when in the middle of a funny conversation. It's hard to get through the day when half the time I can't even describe how I feel cus it's just indescribable I can never explain how I feel cus I just don't know how, there aren't any words to describe it with. It also as started taking a toll on me when I'm deadnamed and misgendered even though I have come out as non binary to the family I live with and my close friends. The only ones who don't are my fellow trans friends or people online. I hate that I wanna hate some people who messed me up but I just can't hate the people who manipulated and emotionally hurt me for so long, I mean I had finally removed one of them from my life and now we're friends again. I don't forgive him for it but I know how his mental illnesses affect him and I know they could have caused how he acted but I still can't forgive him and I don't think I can excuse it just for his mental illnesses but I understand they played a part in what happened. Sorry for rambling -Grimm

Honestly, my biggest problem is that I love music, singing and my parents dont allow me to practice and hence i am not getting better. Being a teenager i should already be good at it as i want to do my career in it but my parents think i am doing something super unproductive. like the minute they hear me sing or play the piano they just ask me to stop and tell me to study. I am tired and i feel like even if i am alive theres no me in me and i cannot express myself (my self esteem is super low), take music classes or even try and practice. when i fight for myself and do what i want to, i feel guilty that i am very bossy or a bad daughter. I am really good at studies without even trying but i am passionate for music. IDK what to do
