Hi Andrew, what Alex meant is, you should let that particular school know that you have a faculty connection. For example, if you did research with a professor at program "X," let that particular professor know you're applying. Or if you have a family member who works at the school, this would also constitute a faculty connection (more valuable than the previous example in most cases). Many schools have secondary applications and you could mention your connection on the secondary application. Moreover, you could write a letter of interest and mention the connection this way. These are just a few ways to do that. But, you would not be writing this in your personal statement. As a side note, this idea is generally geared towards private schools. To cover the basis at most schools you're looking for 2 letters from science professors (lecture-based), 1 letter from a non-science professor (lecture-based) and a dentist letter. Your 2 science letters + dentist is fine, other than that pick the letter you think is the strongest, doesn't matter between those two.
