How to start thriving after a heartbreak
Once you’ve let him go, take some time to heal. For me it was a whole year of letting God heal my broken heart, helping me find myself again, going through periods of sorrow and heartache, and then letting Jesus lift me back up again.
Don’t expect the heartache to heal overnight.
Stay close to God. Read his word and find your strength in Him.
God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4
Once you feel like you’re slowly getting some strength back, start doing things you are passionate about. Start dreaming again.
Work on growing closer and closer to Jesus. Find your people. Find your passions. Dream, plan and do.
Your goal should be to come to a mental state were you are truly happy and confident in yourself. Enjoying life, not chasing anyone, just living your best life with Jesus.
