Coming out of functional freeze is intense to say the least. Not for the faint of heart. Very much the full spectrum of sensations, including things you didn't even know you could feel. Deep discomfort/pain/sadness as well as deep joy/love/peace. You're finally sensing everything that you've suppressed throughout your entire life (and potentially past lives). It can be a wild process and requires immense self trust to not crazy-make yourself and become frozen again. I totally get why people are so quick to numb out, but it's totally worth it to process all your survival stress. One thing that saddens me is that expressing all of this, whether it be dysregulation from your past or present-day triggers, can feel so incompatible with modern day society. People can often interpret this way of being as bizarre which can be isolating. It really is a totally new lens through which to view life and requires you to throw out the script of much of what you believed to be normal and healthy. Thanks for all the work, Irene and team!

Thank you Irene. It was very interesting to recognise how many times I became dysregulated and how many flashbacks I experienced while listening to this conversation.

Thank you, friend, for sharing your experience watching this video. 😅 I too felt some into times I felt helpless with those I wished to trust. We are fortunate to have this information & opportunities 🙌. Thank you, Irene and affiliates. Watching 👀 this, I fantasized that I had these people in those memories instead of what was. 🎉

This is pure GOLD. Boom! I am that parent that thought I/we provided a great home and childhood. Our children have estranged us and we were blindsided and evicerated. Now I get it. We transferred our childhood traumas which were real. 2nd BOOM At the end he talks about how he is training parents to create this safe environment for their children. What if we recreate/heal ourselves with some of these techniques he teaches to parents? I’m 66. My parents are on their way out and cannot heal this. 3rd BOOM What if we have an opportunity to reconnect with our adult children and they allow us to reenact for a weekend this safe childhood home? I wonder if that is a pathway for them to stop this generational BS? 4th BOOM My mother, for vanity and imposition reasons admittedly CHOSE not to nurse me as a child. She has always told me she didn’t want to, and how ugly I was at birth. My head was pointed, my complexion was red and my legs looked like golf clubs. I over eat. I get it Thank you both. I feel like I have pointed toward a new path.

Your trauma and somatic healing is the best out there. My unsolicited advice is start video sooner. And edit a bit more, all to increase exposure. Also graphic editing. Wow ur work is absolutely beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Could you recommend someone for 12 year old boys in Vancouver? A friend's boys have had birth (and womb) trauma and have ADD and other issues as well as diagnosed with some medical issues recently. Thank you for this interview.

This would be great if there was an online training program vs attending physically. This information is so helpful.

Also are there books recommended that go over what is being spoken about in respect to children?

Hello, Sophia from Team Lyon here. Some of Irene's book recommendations, not specifically for children, but the advice applies to children as well irenelyon.com/2020/05/17/books-i-love-plus-an-open-heart-surgery-analogy/

If you look at these comments- word, "aroused" can be triggering. Let's find another word... "eat me alive," also...

I find. This whole channel very triggering. Yes those words are ridiculously inappropriate, we are dealing with. Hurt peaple. It's so insensitive. And some it's users are also condescending, if answering a comment being left. Have a good one.😊
