Our ongoing saga of the completion of our pond. We’re getting close now! I have just updated the music in this video due to 2 comments saying that the music was bad. So see? I do listen and respond to comments in more ways than just liking or commenting back. I love getting your comments even if they're negative, tho if you leave me a snarky comment, I just might be a little snarky back. sorry. Once a video is uploaded you can only replace with music that RU-vid provides so hopefully this music is better because it took mw a minute to find a long enough song that I kinda liked. Love the music! It has a ska vibe. Nice camera work and amazing work making a shelf for the round stones. I need to do this to hide my liner. Thanks for the video

Enjoyed seeing how you got the job done, looks pretty nice overall! I have a small pond and am still learning, it seems like the liner gets hidden a little more practically every few months haha. Plants are definitely a strong help. Well done! Also I'm getting my first 2 koi in a few days, super excited!

Instead of lifting up the liner level, the answer is to have it about 5 inches below grade so as to form a shelf into which rocks are set

That’s actually pretty much what we did. We lowered the level of the liner by removing dirt.

Just to be clear, around the back, you created a small shelf by digging behind and under the liner? Love the solution. Wondering why two of you argued but only one did the work 🙂

Exactly. And not that I owe you any explanation into the division of labor in our household but I’m 67 years old and I have some physical limitations that preclude me from being able to do that type of work where I would have to be behind our pond. I do most of the daily maintenance on our pond and I do ALL of plant maintenance in and outside of the pond unless it requires a ladder. Then my husband does it because he doesn’t want me to hurt myself or be in pain. It’s called cooperation.

What species of fish are in the video?

They’re all koi fish. Some are Japanese standard fin koi, some are long fin/butterfly koi.

So first thanks for taking the time to comment. I do appreciate it, however, you know that that there’s a volume control on your whatever device you’re viewing on right? .... So if you’re really interested in the subject matter you don’t actually need to listen to the music. There is no other audio. So sorry that you didn’t like the music, it’s not my music, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. 🤷🏼 maybe I will change it. I will be stuck with RU-vid choices so no guarantees. Might take me some time to find something that fits.

so hey, I just went in to my RU-vid to see how hard it was to change the music and jumped through all the hoops so there you go. My change has not yet taken effect as of this moment but give it a day and try again and maybe you'll be ok with my replacement. ok? Seriously I do appreciate whenever anyone takes the time to comment whether it's positive or negative. 1 other person also commented about not liking the music on this video so there you go. Interestingly, I chose that track because it was supposedly royalty free in the program that I used to create the video, but it had a copyright claim on it on RU-vid anyway! smh!
