Do you prefer hiring freelancers through Upwork or going directly through ghostwriting companies? 🤔

Hello Dane! Thank you for such a detailed and informative video, this information is precious. I am just taking my first steps in KDP and am currently at the stage of finding and hiring a writer for my first book. Could you let me know when and how you sign a contract with the writer stating that all copyright belongs to you and that they are not allowed to use this material for another client?

Thanks for the vid! So once its written what are you doing about pictures, diagrams, etc? I’m writing a piano instructional books but run into issues when being able to properly draw images that match the explanations. What are your thoughts?

Hey Sherman! Thanks for the support. When it comes to situations like these, usually the ghostwriter I hire will be able to add in stock images where need be. However, I understand that sometimes it can be hard to find the EXACT image you need for a certain situation. In this case, it's usually your best bet to hire an illustrator off of a site like Upwork to create images for you. Generally speaking, I've been able to find illustrators for around $2 to $4 per black and white image.

A bit low on detail. Basically just going through the hiring process without the hard bit like definition, assessment and managing the authorship.

I despise ghost writing, someone else's work and you put your name on it. Why not have them write it, put their name on it and sell the book.

Your books your books. Man up and write your own if you want to talk to writers

All due respect, but your pay rate is terribly low. You are a darling for admitting it, though. Couldn't help but notice Michael W, who you considered, had bid $1,200 for the job. Also, the last woman that you were so stoked about posted that she typically got $35.00 an hour for her work. That means under normal circumstances, she charges $280.00 for each 8-hour day. In that scenario, your $500.00 wouldn't' even buy a full 2 days' worth of work from her. She must have been out of her mind to accept $500.00 for 30,000 words.

As someone that is just starting out, I think I would take that pay. I haven't earned that much before whether it be ghostwriting or writing for myself
