What a nice video! It's nice to know that I'm not the only English speaker who likes to listen to spoken Chinese, and your instructions on how to use chopsticks are the clearest I have found.

Compared to the other tutorials I've seen, this is by far the best tutorial. It shows how to properly use chopsticks.

GOT IT, FIRST TRY! Thank you! Practicing with mixed nuts and dried banana chips. Relaxed my hand when it began to cramp. Cramps went away immediately.

Learning at 50 to use properly. Your thought at about 1:30, that it is better to " just stab" your food wit the children's chopsticks, 😅😅😅😅 priceless!!

Everytime i try to do this it doesnt rest on my ring finger it slides up

I think if you apply more pressure with the base of your thumb to it, this should work: like hold the inner stick in between the ring finger and thumb base.

+Naomi Colorado nothing's wrong with you... I'll tell you how i practiced incessantly: when i started a few years ago, with terrible grips, i picked up peanuts with them (XD don't judge me)... Like one after the other.... Continuously,... Got a bit of laughter from my siblings cause they'd see a weird kid watching tv while eating peanuts using chopsticks. But honestly I was at it for at least half an hour. By the next day, i had my own type of grip which was convenient for me although it looked like i was killing my fingers. But hey, i could pick up food really well by then... After that, i practiced my way a long time. And now I'm watching this video to see the said "proper" way... It became really easier to fix my grip in minutes since now i have a better understanding of how to manage the fingers.... So just find a grip that'll help you pick up food.... And practice for quite a time nonstop.... You'll get it quickly (And fact: peanuts are hard to pick... Like really hard) GoodLuck!

@@Naomi-bp1ij I had trouble too, but stabilize the bottom chopstick with the tip of my ring finger and that made all the difference for me. Good luck!
