How to hold object and animate in iclone 7 

It is a lot easier in IC8. Im searching for videos where a character walks over and picks up an item. This im finding very tricky!!!

I think this is the best the Devs can make at the time. I'm just finding out about these stuff as I only have iClone 7.93 and just started checking out how to use it. Prepare to get frustrated even further when you are finally aligning and positioning various Motion Clips then combining body part movements using the Edit Motion Layer & Reach Target. You will still have to spend a lot of time initially learning the many quirks of the software so it's not really a time saver. Not what I expected for the price of the software. 😞 I'm forced to learn it though as I already bought it in the past anyway. But I'm more wary now and will never upgrade to version 8 unless I see there are actual major improvements in how animations are made and how quickly it can help produce fluid movements with correct alignment & positioning.

@RendCycle Totally agree 👍 great post I don't know why most can't be handled by a script or wizard. This is what puts people of I want to be creative not to have to get in depth technical 😒 Yes have a manual.mode But lezs have more pre made motions or Apply pick up. Grabb. Just like the animation.blocks Include open read, there getting there with the record walk paths rather than creating one manually with a start and end point I look at pixar and many superb modern animations and ponder why make something so beautiful so difficult to animate control and tell a story
