I've only watched 10 minutes of this and I have learned so much more than all those other confusing videos this is really helpful (pandemic I can't go out for lessons) got a ukulele for Christmas. thank you for explaining it so I can understand it was having a problem trying to figure out were my fingers go and how to switch them hope to see more of your videos this is the best ukulele lesson on RU-vid 😇
This guy takes his time to explain and walk right through with precision on each step explaining the cause of our flaws in finger placement and strumming 5 stars to this gentleman 👍
Maggie Matthews what angle do you put your fingers on the frets? mine also makes dead notes and i just wanna know what to do stop that. maybe it’s the way i’m positioning my fingers
Finger tip instead of finder pad is going to change my world Only beed playing for a week and have been using the pad with less than inspiring results😅
I guess I have the wrong fingertips. I have been practicing for one year and I have legitimate calluses, and cut my nails as far back as possible, and I still can’t fingertip the cords, without leaving gaps. As for my reach, I have small hands and I have trouble getting the first and second string to ring clear because my handSqueezes the first string during most cards. I have trouble changing cards because I lose grip of the back of the neck when I press my thumb onto the middle of the back of the neck. Nothing holds onto the neck during chord changes when my fingers are all up in the air.
@@Ukelikethepros it’s small. The fretboard neck is 10.5 inches and the width at the neck where the head starts is 3/8”. I don’t have a strap or a place to hook one on. Thank you.
I get that you want to leave space between the neck and your hand butI don't use a strap and it helps to support the neck if I rest it on the hand between the thumb and first finger. How wrong is this?
Stephen, this is a great question. Even if you don't use a strap you want to use the forearm/elbow of your strumming arm to hold the ukulele. By resting the ukulele in between your thumb and first finger, at least for me limits the range and dexterity I have when playing chords or notes. It also limits my fluidity as I'm moving up and down the ukulele neck. Hope this helps.
Great tutorial 👌 you actually know your stuff, first you pronounced ukulele correctly unlike a lot of so called masters and what is uke? Do you know what that means in Hawaiian? 😅 I see you play a kamaka , nice these other guys play walwart specials!keep going brah🤙
Alright you are explaining the chord that are fairly easy I was looking forward to see how to transition between impossible chords like b major g major.
