Yes, crx and civic EF's should have the same drain plug,

I never checked that year, but I think it would.

@@6thGearGarage okay boss, im literally about to go outside right now and see what's up, im changing the oil/gas, I really hope I have that drain plug, would it be basically at the same spot as yours in this video?

@@6thGearGarage and if I did have it, the bolt is steel and is threaded, so will go back in? No white pipe tape or anything needed?

@@RealTRKLogic It’s threaded but I had to use white tape on mine because it was corroded... Ohio car. I think there was an aluminum crush washer too, that was pretty corroded too.

Yooo im actually literally outside right now and I got the back left up on one jack right now to see if there was a gas tank drain plug, on the drivers side and im pretty sure I have one, the nuts looks nice and grey still, wish I could show you

it's been a while... I think they use a crush washer that should be replaced.

It's an EFI. This car originally had a D15b7.

6th Gear Garage yo can I ask? Can I still use my carb gas tank even tho I have an jdm b16a engine efi? Because my engine stalls when I rev high my mechanic said my gas tank is still the stock carb gas tank retrofitted with an fuel pump We changed the fuel pump and my car still stalls when revving high so he said I need to replace it with an efi gas tank

@@alexjun5694 I don't have any experience with carb hondas, as they weren't offered here in the US during the 1990's. It does sound like you have a fuel problem. Have you replaced the fuel filter? If so, then maybe replacing the tank with an EFI unit would provide adequate fuel.

I'm not sure rust will be an issue. The car is stored in a climate controlled garage and I don't see how there would be any water in the tank. I actually got plates for the car today, so hopefully there will be some fresh gas in the tank soon :)

Doesn't hurt to just take a peak through the fuel pump "window" and see the condition of the interior of your gas tank. I assume the gas you use is ethanol free?

True, It's been about 10 years since I last looked inside. Most stations around here put 10% ethanol in their gas.

If you've been running gas containing ethanol, then the more reason there is to look inside. Ethanol is an alcohol and absorbs moisture from the air. In addition, it can phase separate, where the heavier ethanol (containing moisture/water) settles to the bottom of the tank, causing rust against the steel tank. Try to find ethanol-free gas, if not, use high quality gas "dryers" that prevents phase separation.
