I greatly appreciate your video. My clock is very similar to yours, but the design is different. My grandmother did the embroidery and my grandfather made the case. The movement is no longer working, and I'm trying to replace it.

Same problem as others below. Hand shafts were too small for the hand I had and the hands that came with it were too short for my clock to look good.

Thank you for this video but I'm afraid I have a press on minute hand. It would be nice if Takane had put a part number on it. I'm not certain my maintenance group will be allowed to purchase the repair part. I would like to be able to tell the user which part to get.

what size is the nut? What size is the thread of the clock movement?

Hello, I have a wall clock with quartz movement with pendulum and separate speaker with Westminster chime. The clock works but not the pendulum. The Westminster chime seems to chime slowly after about a week on a fresh battery but clock still keeps correct time. Any ideas on the issue ? Thanks.

Your site shows brass threads. This video shows plastic threads. Which do you send me? Are there any brands of movements superior to others, or are all Chinese imports, and about the same? Thanks.

Takane are the only movements still made in USA and are as good as anything else on the market. Some movements made in Asia are better than others. The Jia Hao movement I have in my new Toscano design mantle piece clock loses 9 hours in every twenty-four hours.(I notice that sometimes when I put finger pressure on the minute hand, it lacks resistance; other times there is more resistance. It's like something is loose in there. I'm not very impressed with Jia Hao.) By the way, when it has "1688" typed on it, what does that mean? Is that a reference to its dimensions or its power or torque?
