***** About Living Traditions Homestead *****
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out 5 new videos every week! Tuesday through Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we transition from city dwellers to full time homesteaders!

Thank you so much for telling people NOT TO BURN poison ivy!! It can not only go into the lungs, but also affect your skin just like touching the plant does!! WONDERFUL video!!

Yes my brother -n-law ended up in the hospital on a respirator because of burning wood that had poison ivy on it. He really could have died had he not gone to the hospital. Just a few minutes after he got there he could no longer breath on his own. Very scary. It also got into his eyes. They were swollen shut. His whole face was covered.

When I was a little kid, my Dad taught me a simple thing : 1, 2 , 3 , don't touch me ! If the plant has 3 leaves, you don't take a chance and don't touch it . I can still hear my Dad showing me poison ivy and saying that little phrase, and believe me, almost 50 years later, I still remember it .

If I remember correctly one is a vine (poison ivy), one a bush and one is a small tree - I don't think they have overlapping places they grow. It would be good to find out!
