plus it sounds like buying from auction gives the customer more choice than if they show up at a lot and have to pick what the importing used car dealership decided they might want. I'm in Canada, I assume the regulations are in between the Australian and the USA ones.

You can buy any import vehicle from a import crew called Black Ops Performance,but thats here in florida im not sure if there located anywhere else but they do sell skylines and stuff at a pretty legit price.

In the States wanted stock verison like the Australia too, but in the States buy import taxes including the dock fee you could import cars all the states easier expect in California. Also the Californian wanted import cars from they needed to have CARB to reginstion to the DMV and for to passed smog.

In Jamaica we have to pay 80% of the value of the vehicle to clear it. Note they include she shipping fee as apart of the vehicle price. 10,000 vehicle and shipping 8,000 to clear from wharf Insurance 200 to 3000 depending on company, history of driver and type Registration which varies depending on CC Fitness 100 Plates 50 Vehicle title about 30 Worse case clearing and getting your vehicle on the road ends up costing more than the vehicle.

It is not legal man. A GTR R34 will not be legal in the united states until it is 25 years old. The only way you can bring one over is if you say it is for racing or a show car only. At which point you will only be able to drive it for very little miles per year. There are places that will allow you to buy and additionally allow you to store the car in Japan until it is ready to ship. The only R34's that are legal in the US were brought over from Motorex (CA, USA) and those were grandfathered in after Motorex was shut down due to fraud in relation to DOT standards. Please save yourself the headache and do not buy an R34 if you are hoping to drive it before 2024.

SAMMIT so to get a cheaper car, you gotta go deep in Nihon???? i seen some legit people, but they charge 25k for an R33, not 34???? and they say it can be shipped to America. you say 10-15? So a plane ticket... hmmh. 25 it is. mf-er! who has the time to travel to go there, time is money. and i speak not too much nihongo. no lol obviously.

It all depends on the quality of the car you are after & how much you want it. like if it's your dream car & you want one that is clean & un-touched then by all means it's worth it. You will not find one in better condition in AUS for the price you will get it from Japan to Aus & then complied & registered etc. it will work out just a bit cheaper then a normal condition on in AUS but you will have something so much nicer & genuine too.

thanks so much for the info its so hard to find all the details of fees and such online everyones always telling you some outrageous prices but mostly because i know they want me to go thru them instead of flying out and doing it myself but my question is so im looking for a r34 gtst coupe my question is i know in a couple years it will be okay to drive but can i import just a rolling chassis without any issues i dont plan on having it finished for years but if i do the paperwork as a show car willl that cause any issues years later when the car is legal? im also looking for other rhd cars btw bmw,,nissan,toyota,mazda

awesome video! how long does it take to get to the states from japan after purchase? I plan on going to japan for a couple of weeks in July or august of next year. I would like to buy a car while I am there and have it shipped to the states, and drive it home.

+Chaise Ballotti 4-6weeks is normally the time it takes once the purchase is made. All the inspections & customs stuff that needs to be done. Then shipping & a repeat of customs all over again once it gets to your port of choosing in the states.

you cannot legally import a jdm car to hawaii. There is no 25 year rule for hawaii and anyone in hawaii that says their jdm car is legal because they have plates to prove it, they're just lucky they haven't been caught. i seem em on craigslist hawaii sometimes and it pisses me off

So about the 20% down payment, if you don’t win the car do you find another car as close to the previous or desired as possible? Or is it just whatever you can get your hands on? And furthermore let’s say someone were to call for the 20% back is that even possible?
