NOT an L11 video! Just finished this one right before L11 releases and my overview. This one I put some thought and effort into. Hope it gets watched and inspires. Genuinely would love to hear feedback on this style of video. My last one I put tons of time into, but almost no views :/ Could've been a ton of things, timing, not posting for long time, or less interesting topic/title or thumbnail. Didn't get much feedback so hopefully I get some here on this one. It's rough and akward for me to make personally related videos instead of straightforward tutorials, but if this has value I'll definitely make some more.

Congratulations ! Your video ended up here in Brazil for me. I think exactly the same and I believe that animation has an impacting power with storytelling and I believe that when done well it exceeds a client's expectations much more than a photorealistic still. Keep up with your work, it's amazing. Thank you so much !

I've been working in the archviz for over a decade now. Yet, I don't remember any of my projects that I can be proud of or satisfied with. Of course, tight deadlines is a big factor, but the biggest frustration always came from the clients. My clients are marketing people from developer companies. Most of them don't care about B roll or artistic shot, or even stories. They just want to show everything and anything that can be sold as much as possible in every frame. I have long since gave up proposing storyboards that focused on the story, lifestyles, details, emotions, and scenes that pique curiosity. My works had become a template which is sad. Anyway, nice videos mate. Love your lumion videos. I might switch to 11 as well soon.
@CWelton6
@CWelton6 3 года назад
@abullz I actually totally get that. I have been fortunate to have a 'variety' of different types of clients, and I, more often, fall into the same category. I often still have the freedom to experiment, but very rare to I get the type of opportunity to build a story like this example. I would say less than 20 total. So many other factors come into play like deadlines, overlapping projects, exhaustive lists of updates/comments that totally take the fun and joy out of the process. I hope you find the opportunity in the future to better break from the template. I crave those moments and other times I just want to move on haha. Thanks for sharing.

@@CWelton6 hahaha yeah I'm sure you've had those types of clients as well. That's just the life of 3d artists like us haha. I remember even Alex Roman rarely showing his commercial works, and his showreel contents was his personal projects which he made in a span of a year. I hope you get the opportunities to create masterpiece works. I'm looking forward for your next videos.

very important video on building new creative ideas, which standout us from others. today i was figuring out in Lumion, how i can make walking people slow motion. there is no control to make them slow or fast. if u how i can make them walk in slow motion please let me know. 👍
@CWelton6
@CWelton6 3 года назад
You can. Render at 60 or 200 fps then skow down footage in post.

@@CWelton6 yeah but that way my camera move will also get affected. i want camera to be normal speed but people in slow motion (render at 30 fps). i hope i'll get this feature in Lumion 12 😊
@CWelton6

True, but you could do 60 and half your camera timings. Not ideal but would work if you needed to.

@@CWelton6 thats only way right now. i'll wait for this feature to introduce. i cant request lumion team, bcoz they allow only licenced users. can u list down this feature in your feature list. thanks

@@CWelton6 bro i found render trick. what i was looking for camera movement should normal and people are moving in SloMo. in normal scenario if my clip is lenght 10 sec render at 60 fps. adobe premier project sequence at 30 fps, video is slomo (without changing playback speed), but same time camera will be super slow. which i dont want. so what i did made clip lenght 5 sec (half) and made camera animation pan fast (double than i want). Voila now i have 10 sec clip, camera moving normal speed and peoples in SloMo.

Sir would you suggest for me how to learn an advanced lumion and would you please tell me about which desktop workstation and card good for lumion 10 or 11?
@CWelton6
@CWelton6 3 года назад
Great timing for that! New GPU's from both AMD and Nvidia just released (or will soon) so that is a great time to grab one of those (if you can find one in stock). That or you could pickup used last gen ones for cheap too. Budget is always variable to each user. CPU market is smoking right now too. Anything newer will do amazing for Lumion. Didn't used to be the case. AMD has some incredible new CPU;s shattering records and intel, although way behind on multi-core performance is still a solid pick too. I'd put as much money as you can towards GPU though. Lumion doesn't need insane core counts on the CPU side. An i5 or Ryzen 5 will do that job too if budget limited. Super broad, but I'd get the basics across. Feel free to shoot any additional specific q's I'll do my best to answer.

@@CWelton6 thank you so much you are really great, one more thing sir I have hp Z800 with 32 GB RAM, would you suggest me card for this pc because I don't have no Budget to buy new PC although I can buy graphic card could suggest some of GPU?
@CWelton6
@CWelton6 3 года назад
Hmmm...I looked up that hp model. Thats pretty dated. Looks like your power supply is decent, but those types of workstations might not have the cables you need to upgrade. Not sure. Might be able to slap a new gpu on there, but that xeon is extremely slow by today's standards. It will bottleneck a lot of performance on new gpus. Maybe get an older generation high end card that might at least give you a boost and work decently with your system.
