Thank you for your story Chris. It was very inspirational and wish you the best of luck in journey. One month with the software and you made a marvelous masterpiece!
If there is a "million like" button, I would press it for this video 😊 Thank you very much for your effort telling us every new features related to lumion.
These are good highlights. Lumion doesn't get enough credit for all the dozens of tutorials and info on how to use it. From their website and blogs, RU-vid channels. Their website is really clear and polished and easy to navigate for the info you're looking for. They have good branding and marketing. I haven't seen that from other other "realistic" render engines (V-Ray, Corona).. Even though I know you could find their tutorials if you look hard enough. That's what sold me on Lumion is that there is so much information about its features, requirements and how to achieve good results fast. -and channels like this Chris. Good job.
I've been feeling like my animations have been getting pretty repetitive and rote, so occasionally I challenge myself to try something different and bold. Let me know what you think, or any questions on how I did anything.
I cant export none character attached to the vehicle. Allways i import, the lumion separate vehicle and ok animation, but the passenger attached to the seat, are imported in t pose, whell far from the vehicle.
Interesting. Try exporting .Dae, try adjusting heirchy, and try adjusting baked frames. The other thing I might check is if you have a key frame on the first and last, then 25fps
Lumion currently doesn't have ray tracing. On exteriors Lumion can go toe to toe with real ray tracing currently, it's the interiors that Lumion requires more effort to keep up with. This will all change soon
Oh yes. Lumion is great. It has made my job 1000x easier. Before I got Lumion I was using other render plug-ins that would take hours to render. - And still would need photoshop to correct lighting and color. I love the effects that help convey realism and post production like features such as color correcting and exposure levels. It isn't talked about very much but I am a big fan of the Import Edges feature. Since alot of our CAD dwgs are drawn to show flooring tile layouts and cabinet reveals from our plans and elevations, the edges feature is actually very important. I am very happy they have added the Orthographic feature as well. I am hoping for real time ray tracing in the future. Thx Chris for the tutorials. I use your PBR workflow with the alpha masks in Targa format often. Go Lumion!
How do we adjust the time line while importing a animated car in max into lumion, i mean a walk through scene in Lumion. For eg, car stops and the gate opens and agian the car moves.
That starts to get more into rigging the car to do that type of motion. I suggest looking into madcar for max. That does what you want and it imports into Lumion perfectly
@@CWelton6 Thanks for your reply. I can do the rigging part with mad car.Only thing is how do i adust it in lumion while making a movie after importing.Hope i am clear in explaining it
Oh! I cannot fail to thank you, Chris for your tutorials. They were immensely helpful back in the day. I've been learning from you since Lumion 4. You may not realise the impact your educational content have made. My colleagues and students marvel at my work and ask how I managed to get so good. I simply tell them to look up Chris Welton on RU-vid. Many of them have gone ahead to create several beautiful scenes, thanks to you. From me and my folks in Nigeria, thank you so much! ❤️ 🇳🇬
Wow that is an amazing story and compliment. Shoot me an email if you'd ever like to talk. I'd love to hear more of your story. Chris@cweltondesign.com
good job. i have some questions, please correct me if im wrong. have you missed to place reflection plane on structure glass bcoz reflections are not clear and that makes big difference in realism. reflection tweak in structure and all furniture, in real world every thing have less or more reflection. we have advantage of wind for plants trees, that add next level realism. looking forward for more tutorials on lumion.
Foe the sake of render times and multiple pages of glass I don't add reflection planes everytime every where. Each reflection plane can add 80% more render time. Sometimes it's worth it though.
Hey Visual Plus can I have your contact info. Feel free to send it to Chris@cweltondesign. I see some solid interior work. I don't do a lot of interiors tbh so if I have something come up wanted to know your pricing/services if you'd like.
