How to improve the worst enemy in DOOM HISTORY | DOOM Eternal 

This is un ironically one of my favourite enemies

i think its a good way to teach players that you can meathook off of different demons to reach a certain target.

The cursed prowler also sucks since taking them down doesn't require any intuition after playing the campaign multiple times. All you have to do is remember the spawns and have an ice-bomb or weapon that will insta-kill him and there's no threat. This wouldn't be an issue and would be good to encourage enemy prioritisation if it wasn't so easy to accomplish.

I think if he can be hit by all weapons then he’s gotta teleport like crazy. If you don’t loose your dash but he’s still hard to catch that that encourages you to optimize your movement but also doesn’t lock you down from taking on the rest of the arena. Also maybe the curse wears off after ten seconds if you can’t catch him. I also agree he needs a unique model. Huge likes to make unique combat arenas that throw a strange challenge at you. I’m imagining he’s gonna throw in a cursed prowler possessed by a spirit surrounded by screechers at some point

I feel like Cursed Prowlers should reduce dash recharge speed instead of disabling it entirely.

I think the enemy can be decent if used correctly. Nekravol 2 custom master level i think uses him in a fun way. Imo the only thing I wish is that he didnt fuck my vision and that he didnt require a blood punch.

Just dont get hit by it lmao Outside of yokes, i think it is a cool enemy, it is very satisfying whan you blood punch him and you survive, and while beeing cursed you can still get armor, health, meathook other demons, ballista boosting and use the hammer. A very good strategy is to use the flame thrower and the hammer to stun the enemys and get armor while you go for the blood punch for the prowler

I like the Cursed Prowler, it's one of my favourite enemies in the game. But it's a good video and your points are valid, even if I somewhat disagree. Like your recent editing as well. Though those loud transitions sorta ruin the flow of the video, it's not very comical, especially not multiple times. I think it could've just been general normal volume and I'd've been pleased. Good day.

Maybe keep the curse like it is, no dash and the screen should be more visible. An improvement would be that the cursed prowler can be killed with any weapon but the curse will linger in the player for 10 to 15 seconds after killing the prowler, if the prowler is killed with a blood punch the curse us lifted immediately. That way we keep the design principle of the main weakness but without limiting the player too much. Maybe the prowler will stay near the slayer after cursing him, giving a small window, like 1 second (if you have good reflexes) to punch it immediately.

Crowlers are the most insufferable alongside marauder and archie But the latter are results of mostly bugs, not the core mechanics itself Crowler tho? Who the fuck it was a good idea to make an enemy that can cripple you that bad can teleport around like a piece of shit? And all of his attacks can curse you? The fuck? What the fuck were they on? Mind you, I don't have any problems dealing with them, i just think they are designed thoughtlessly It's a movement shooter, not some 3000 IQ tactical shooter Good lord

The cursed prowler shouldn't be a problem if you're good at the game. (never thought I'd say that about something in TAG 2) Although I do agree the green effect should be reduced. What if we kept the blood punch thing, made him just highly resistant to other weapons, and restored the dash?

I think they should make him try to actively attack you so you can get close and make the dash recharge really slow

I agree that his game design sucks ass. I don't mind the curse state and think it's his best part but his complete weapon immunity during it is pure bullshit and I think worst part is they put the whole curse debuff on an enemy that can so easily deal it out and can massively be annoying in pathing and teleporting. It doesnt happen often but these dudes teleporting out of the map is infuriating. Tho I do hate em less to blood maykrs. If they were gonna change him. Get rid of his immunity and replace with resistances and increase his evasion tactics. Next change how Curse works, I like the idea that it punishes not dealing with the cursed prowler. Maybe DoT that buffs up the Prowler's health and damage with each curse period and heals itself with direct melee hits. Make each curse period like 12-15 secs and so the CP doesn't spam it, the effect is only applied with either direct melee or charged projectiles.

I didn't really like most of the dlc enemies for the sole reason they're immune to other weapon attacks and heavily encouraged to use the weapon mod they want you to use. Dlc enemies should remain in the dlc imo.
