Before theres no like that,Only technical experience next.I got 10yrs experience in a copper smelter in the Phil.I spend my processing for only 450 us dollar thst wad 1994.BUT when i m already in Canada 4months no work.And finally landed in Manufacturing not on my field.I was 39 when I enter Canada.Stayed 10yrs and migrated to US snd on my few yrs more to go b4 I will retire.Very well said all your presentation but still people in our Country dont believe that life in Canada is not easy.
The best i guess we can do is to tell our story and let them decide whether to take that risk. But thank you for sharing your story, I admire your resilience throughout. Hi. I'm having more than 11 years experience in HRM and possessing a BSc in HRM with so much of HR related qualifications and I was the island 02nd prize winner of AATSL (Accounting course). Furthermore, I have scored 7.5 for IELTS. Moreover, my wife has a BSc. in Aquatic Science. Currently, she's working as a Bio Science teacher and I'm working as a Group HR Manager. Hi Rachel. Thanks for all your informative videos. Sorry got confused. CRS score for PR to get ITA is 471 and you got 465/450 only. Did I miss something?
Sorry for the confusion! The score I got from using the calculator came out to be 465. And used that as an example to compare it with the MOST RECENT draw which was at 471 (Sept 30). In that case I will not get an ITA because my points are short. My real score came out to be 450 points. And I got an ITA from the May 15, 2020 draw since the cutoff then was at 447 points ☺️
@@rrdancel Hi Rachel, I got confused with this. Why was your score from the CRS calculator different from your real score? By any means, is the CRS calculator on the site's not reliable? I'm trying to check my score now, and If ever my IELTS exam turns out to be same as yours, my score would also be 465 (based from the CRS calculator) 🙂
Hi! Ask ko lang if it's possible na after ng 1 year SP + 1 year PGWP then you have a passing crs score can you apply for express entry without a designated employer? Keep on uploading videos it's very informative and helpful!
Hi po, it’s hard to say since we don’t know what the cut-off score will be then. Right now, cut-off has been increasing with the recent one at 471. I did the 1yr SP + 1yr PGWP and only managed to get a score of 450. So if i were still in the pool, I won’t get invited and that puts a lot of time pressure on me with an expiring PGWP and no employer support... But that’s coming from no previous work experience in the PH, CLB 8 IELTS scores and no spouse to increase my score. It may be different score for you depending on your experiences. So while it may be possible, the pressure is on. 😅 Sorry couldn’t given you a solid answer but hope that helps 😊👍

Got a question, when selection level of education for express entry profile , would it be a bachelor’s degree ( with doing of one year of PGD) or would be considered as Two or more certificates , diplomas or degree.
I took up a bachelor's degree in the Philippines and gotten an ECA for it. Plus my 1-year program in Canada. So for my case, that would be two or more certificate, degrees or diplomas, with one being more than three years. hope that helps.
Personally, I felt the Academic was more challenging than the General test. But do note: both have different purposes, one is for studies and general is for Immigration 👍
about ECA did you get your degree assessed in your home country or in Canada? also did you just walk in and handed your degree for Assessment or did your home country college had to courier your official transcripts to the ECA office

Hi Rachel! What if you were 29 when you submitted your EE profile but unfortunately your CRS score is not enough to get an ITA, then your birthday comes in two weeks making you 30, do you have to update your age in your profile? Then your score will drop then?
I believe the date of submission is called a locked in date. So, you will be considered 29 years old until your EE profile expires the following year. Please check with an immigration lawyer to clarify.
I got an ECA for my Masters. Should I also get my other degrees assessed? (Undergrad and postgrad) Do they all add to your CRS score or is it just your highest qualification that counts?
Hi R! Do you have any idea why WES, IQAS, and ICES give different equivalency with the same degree in the Philippines. Both my friend and I are BSN, she had her ECA with IQAS and WES on my end. Unfortunately, my result was 2 year diploma and her's is 3 years. I dont get it, should it not be a standard assessment regardless of which services you used?

That’s really up to the immigration officer reviewing your file 😊👍 I cannot predict that, but generally if your application is complete and you wrote a good letter of explanation - chances of your application being returned or refused are typically low. 😊👍
Hello, one question, there is 50 additional points for having a job offer. I want to know if I work in Canada for 2 years for example in type B job, it is possible to get a job offer from that employer?
So that question is entirely dependent on the employer. 😊👍 Some cases, yes - some no (happened to me) But getting 2 years skilled work experience in Canada is enough to increase your chances of being invited to PR 😊👍

Hi dear, I had my education assessed na in Canada when I was preparing to apply for Express Entry. I got my education assessed by ICES, conveniently located at my school (BCIT) 😊
In Canada, accounting is a regulated profession and you will need to be designated in order to be a Tax Accountant/Consultant. I believe one of the requirements is a CA/CPA designation 🙂
It depends on several factors starting with the city you choose to live in, the school you choose to attend and the program you wish to take - there’s no fixed cost to jumpstart this journey to study in Canada The only fixed costs are the application fees for a study permit which is currently $150 CAD + $85 for biometrics.
Hi Neil. PNP requires the support of your employer. My employer was not willing to go through the process. So, I was unable to apply under the BCPNP. 😊
Hi dear, it depends on what kind of application you will get. If it’s a study permit, you need an Academic Test. For PR immigration, you will need the General test. Also take note, IELTS is only valid for 2 years too! 🥰
There are a couple problems with your statement. One, it is not possible to qualify for EE as all programs require the you have work experience. Second, how do you know your CRS score is enough as the CRS score is determined by each draw?
PNP has its separate scoring system from the federal immigration programs. But in either programs, you must meet the cutoff score to be invited to apply for PR. 👍

Hi bro! It’s really tough for outside applicants to get PR unless you’re a unicorn! Right now, you’d need some Canadian education or work experience to get closer to receiving an ITA in my opinion😫 but let’s hope I’m wrong. IRCC needs to clear those backlogs first before anything…
Hi, personally try to look for other ways to improve your CRS score. Perhaps retake IELTS? Your score is good but may not be close enough to get an ITA soon since the cut-off is hovering at 468-470 now. It may take a while for the scores to drop if no more people with high CRS scores enter the pool (which is unlikely). Best to take the proactive approach and search for other ways to boost your CRS score. Hope this helps dear! All the best :)
Hi ms. Rachel. Just want to ask.. my husband has a degree in nursing + a post grad in International Health (Diploma, 1 more year and to finish as masteral). Do we need to have both education assesed (ECA)?
